Hold the Torch (Twenty Four)

        Along the way to Aiden's private room, Calistha's face unceasingly sowed a smile at every servant or soldier she met around the passageway. Today his heart is happy and he feels like smiling at anyone he meets on the street. Though he only wanted to meet Aiden, but that happiness felt different from all the happiness he had often felt.

        "Is your king inside?" Calistha asked kindly to the soldier standing guard in front of Aiden's room.         "So, you just want to deliver a cup of tea?" aiden asked suddenly at Calistha who had just been silent by the table. The woman looked like a completely motionless statue after the departure of the palace physician, but Aiden had been waiting for her to walk closer to her.

        "Emm, not really. I came to see how you are. Are you feeling better?"

        "Yes, as you can see, I'm fine. The palace healer has treated my injuries well, so you don't have to worry" Aiden said casually. The man then walked towards the bed to grab his shirt which had been prepared by the palace lady. Then with a quick gesture, Aiden immediately put on the shirt in front of Calistha as he stepped closer towards Calistha.

            "What's wrong?" calistha asked nervously as suddenly Aiden walked over to her wearing a shirt that had not been completely cut out.

        "You can help me button it up, my arm still hurts a little bit to button itself" Aiden said flatly. Calistha then immediately took a step forward to approach Aiden while extending her hand to button the shirt buttons one by one. The musk scent that was so masculine immediately smelled in Calistha's sense of smell when the distance between Aiden's nose and chest field was only a few inches. With trembling hands, Calistha tried to concentrate on buttoning Aiden's shirt while getting rid of the various strange thoughts lodged in his head. As if I could read his head, though, Aiden immediately reached out his hand to hug Calistha possessively so inevitably Calistha had to stick her head over Aiden's bare chest which had not been fully covered by the shirt the man was wearing.

        "Calistha, I can read your mind."

        "Why? I wasn't thinking about anything." Calistha said.         "Promise? I seem to have forgotten. I feel like I don't have any promise to you." Calistha replied as if with a super annoying face that managed to make Aiden snort annoyed. With a quick movement, Aiden immediately pulled Calistha's wrist until it hit her sturdy body hard. He then pulled Calistha's chin gently and pointed it at her lips to be let out.
