The Rebirth of the Lazy Nobles Woman

The Rebirth of the Lazy Nobles Woman
Chapter 9: Phone Calling

“You're Gu Xijin's dog, don't come near me.” Gu Xiqiao placed the dog outside his room and pointed at his nose.

The dog was locked outside the room, but did not give up, instead starting to scratch the door with its small claws.

Gu Xiqiao sat on his bed for a while, and hearing that the dog did not give up, he left and opened the door with a cold expression, and the dog immediately ran into the room.

So, the dog continued to play around with his feet as he studied for his exams, and the scenery was quite harmonious.

After a few hours, someone knocked on the door harder than he should, and Gu Xiqiao impatiently put down his pen to open the door. Outside was a middle-aged female servant, and upon seeing Gu Xiqiao, the former threw a bundle of clothes onto his face and said, “This is your outfit!”

Gu Xiqiao tilted his head as he looked at the servant. This servant was an insignificant servant who was only in charge of simple tasks that could not even hold a candle to the experienced servant of the Gu family, but even such a servant could raise his voice against it.

Gu Xiqiao smiled, and coupled with her clear gaze and beautiful face, she looked innocent and harmless.

Coming from the remote countryside and settling down in this bustling and advanced city caused anxiety for Gu Xiqiao, and he took a long time to get used to life here. Thankfully, Su Wan’er did not molest him on the surface.

Outsiders all praised Su Wan’er as the generous mother leader of the Gu family who even took an illegitimate daughter under her wing.

In his previous life, Gu Xiqiao also thought so. Su Wan’er did not treat him badly in terms of food and clothing, and he once believed that if he worked hard enough, Su Wan’er would accept his existence someday. He wasn't the one who destroyed their family directly, so he always held them in silence.

But these cold-hearted people never admitted his efforts, instead taking it for granted and saying that he should have done it from the start!

He suddenly stopped smiling and leaned closer to the maid, whispering into her ear in a dismissive tone, “Whatever my position is, I am still a member of the Gu family brought back by Grandpa, while you're just a waitress. If you don't want to work here anymore, I can tell Grandpa. Let's see who gets kicked out! “

After which, he stepped back and slammed the door in front of the servant's face.

The servant was stunned by Gu Xiqiao's display of defiance and almost shouted furiously.

Who does she think she is ?!

Does he think he's afraid of her?

But after that, he came to his senses, and his face paled with fear.

The servants lived with the good graces of their masters, and the person in charge of the Gu family was ultimately Master Gu, Gu Xiqiao's grandfather. Su Wan’er still had no right to control everything in the family, and the person who shot was still Mr. Gu. Gu Xiqiao was brought back personally by Mr. Gu, and even though he was not so liked, but no matter how much he did not have the support of the other Gu family members, it was not that much, the direct descendant that Master Gu received was not someone he could compare to as a servant. Master Gu had always valued his blood relationship, so he could not and would not hand Gu Xiqiao over to the wolves completely.

After the maid thought of all this, she patted her chest in fear and took a deep breath.

He and the other servants had been misled by Madam Su's attitude towards Gu Xiqiao over these past few days and had been deceived into thinking that it was okay to make use of Gu Xiqiao.

As the maid stared at the door that had been slammed in her face, she began to reconsider the rumor that the second daughter of the Gu family was stupid. Could he have been acting stupid all along? If that was the case, this illegitimate daughter might have some tricks up her sleeve …

The maid had seen her fair share of the drama of the upper society, and after thinking about all the twists and turns thoroughly, she shuddered and decided not to provoke Gu Xiqiao anymore.

So the proud servant retreated to where the servant was with his tail tucked between his legs.

Gu Xiqiao took out the school uniform he was going to wear the next day and arranged his textbooks, and then quietly lay on the bed after everything was well arranged.

Meanwhile, the dog lay under his bed.

As a beam of moonlight filtered through the curtains, he opened his eyes. He did not feel drowsy and rolled around in bed in vain before grabbing the phone in his bedside closet. He slowly scrolled it and stopped as he looked at the financial application that had been installed.

For him, earning money was not a difficult thing to do. In fact, he was hesitant about what to do first.

Buy stocks, futures, or spot?

The Gu family had become like in his previous life because of his help, and he wanted to see who the Gu family would find to help them reach that level of success.

The system analyzes his emotions and starts bragging again. [If you do more missions and let me level up, becoming a billionaire is not a dream!]

Raising eyebrows and mocking. “You say it as if you could make money just like that.”

[... Then what will you do?]

I have my plan.

Seeing her employer hard to trick, the system squatted in a corner of the room and drew a circle on the ground.

The dark mobile phone screen suddenly lit up and Gu Xiqiao narrowed his eyes as he stared at the screen saying that Jiang Shuxuan had sent him a message.

‘Brother Jiang: Can I still call you now?’

Gu Xiqiao practically jumped on the bed and read the message a few times, and after making sure that he did not see anything, he put on indoor sandals and went to the window. After he opened the curtain, he pressed the call button after a slight hesitation.

The person on the other end of the phone picks up the phone in a few seconds.

The voice was low and pulled out of the phone, and although the cold voice was deliberately suppressed and not too soft, it calmed Gu Xiqiao's irritated emotions instantly. He hung up the phone and stood by the window for a while, and as he lay on the bed, he fell asleep instantly.

In another mansion, Jiang Shuxuan was gracefully standing on the window sill. The dim moonlight gave a silvery halo of light to him, and it made him appear smooth.

In his hand was an unfinished cigarette, and flickering embers were clearly visible in the darkness.

After a while, the phone in his hand rang again and Jiang Shuxuan turned off the cigarette in the glass ashtray as he looked at the person who called out to him. It was the eldest son of the Yin family, Yin Shaoyuan.

“Brother Jiang, I think you have reached the Imperial Capital! No wonder everyone told me that you haven't come back. ” Yin Shaoyuan was always fickle and somewhat disrespectful even when talking to his father, but that was not the case when he was talking to Jiang Shuxuan.

He and Jiang Shuxuan were classmates at university, and the way they met was quite dramatic.

Yin Shaoyuan was known as a little tyrant in N City and was used to his own ways. He could not get rid of this habit even when he went to Jing Capital and got into trouble with the other local rich kid, and he thought that no one dared to hurt him because of his background. That night, he was stabbed through the intestines in an alley and rescued by Jiang Shuxuan.

More importantly, was the way a group of arrogant rich children turned into mice that dug themselves into the earth when they came face to face with Jiang Shuxuan.

Therefore, Yin Shaoyuan blindly idolized Jiang Shuxuan.

The scene of him defeating a dozen villains at once immediately turned him into fanatical fanboy Jiang Shuxuan. Even his grandfather thought that he was too lucky to be Jiang Shuxuan's friend.

“Do you have the info?”

The cold voice made Yin Shaoyuan swallow a little. “To be honest I don't need to check it out, since there is only one Gu family living in Shanhe Residence Area, but I still get some detailed data about them. I've already sent it to your email, so check it out. It was just a small family, so if they offended you, I had hundreds of ways to make them have fun.

“Thank you.”

“No, I'm happy to work for you..”.

Jiang Shuxuan did not wait for him to finish his sentence and immediately hung up the phone, climbing the stairs step by step.

He looked at the email Yin Shaoyuan had sent him and wanted to open it, but his gaze turned to the document that should have been lost on his desktop, and his student shrank slightly.
