Chapter 11 - Building a trench

Some time later, the white snow bathed in blood water made him stick firmly.

The forest that was once a storm is now silent without any sound.

Puddles of blood were seen on the snow, the corpses of wolves strewn everywhere with some parts on their bodies apart.

In the middle of that forest, the corpses of wolves were piled up like mountains with blood flowing in every corner.

"Huh. huh.. huh.." Louis was unceasingly sighing tiredly.

On his body, there was a lot of blood sticking from face to foot with streaks of wounds on each part.

If not for his armor, he was sure that his body would have been destroyed by the wolf's claw.

"Huh. hunting alone it.. turned out to be the wrong thing,"

Louis felt that he was overconfident.

Starting from building a house in the middle of the southern forest that is famous for its rocks, then hunting alone in the western forest which is a wolf nest.

Louis was so happy, he wanted to try Decraith I immediately, but the pain in his body made him think again.

"Ugh. before that, I have to recuperate."

His body was full of wounds, it was already great that he could stand this far, but it would not last long.

Above the sky, the sun began to fall, the sky reddened signifying the night that was soon to arrive.

Since night was coming soon, there must have been a blizzard, though not as strong as the southern forest, but it remained windy and disrupted the recovery of his body.

For that, he needs to think about how to build a safe place.

"This time I will be more careful and think before I act,"

He recalled the mistakes he had made before, to not repeat them, he became more cautious.

He thought of various things, such as building a wooden shelter as his foundation and walls, small yet strong and able to withstand piles of snow.

But he immediately threw away that thought, to build that place, it would take a long time because having to cut down every tree, he had no energy to cut down trees now.

Then, he wasn't sure if the little log house could withstand a blizzard, despite being in a forest where there was usually less snow than in the open, and thought about the events in the southern forest.

He would die from the snow if he did that.

"Then how?"

Once again Louis thought hard, if his body was working hard, now his brain must work in place of his body.

Yet louis had no experience of surviving in the snow forest, he was a city person.

"ah! What if we build a trench!"

It digs under the snow and covers its top with stacked wood in order to withstand heavy loads like snow.

"It's a good idea" said louis.

Louis thought of many things, but in the end he preferred to build a trench.

Louis began to look around trying to find the log.

When he found it, he walked towards the log that fell on the snow.

When Louis reached the log, he made a shovel with his craft system.

"Let's start digging,"

From where he stood, he dug deep and thick snow.

He continued to dig and dig nonstop, despite some pain in his hands, he persisted and endured all of it.

As the excavation deepened, he finally completed his first task.

The trench was dug, it took more than an hour to do so, now he just had to cover the top with wood and make a little gap for oxygen to get in.

Sometime later, at night, Louis finished building his shelter.

The moat was a little broad, not wide but long, on top of which there were woods covering it from the blizzard.

In it was very dark, Louis did not dare to make a bonfire because of his small trench, the bonfire could make the wood above it burn and become ash.

Behind Louis, there was a small bag of bandages, with the bandages, Louis covered the wounds on his body and cleaned his wounds.

Now that he had already done everything needed to survive, he heaved a sigh of relief.

His stats actually increased drastically, but these were additional stats that could only be applied when activated.

But this useful Decraith I, no matter what stats Louis had, would be added with the stats on Decraith I.

"I can't wait to try it, but definitely not now. For now, let's sleep to restore stamina." Louis.
