Chapter 13 - Alpha wolf

"Excuse me, sorry to bother you,"

The voice of the person, is this a rim?

Louis looked at the rim not far behind him, when it was clearly visible in his eyes, he noticed the rim.

A man, having blue pupils, white skin and golden blonde hair, he is very handsome, his face is on par with Korean artists.

But his expression looked sad, his body was covered in wounds and his clothes were also tattered with sturdy armor.

"You surprised me, who are you?"

"I don't mean to be evil, my name is Edgurt burnley from pompey" the man said.

Burnley, when one introduces himself, the common people will only mention first names, but for a noble, accompanied by last names.

"You're a pompey noble?"

"That's right,"

A noble, what a coincidence, moreover it was a noble from another city.

"I'm Louis, from the oirat,"

"Your name doesn't sound like Thorin's, do you come from the outside?"

"So you and your sister got separated when you ran away?"

"That's right, I want you to help me find my sister, and be my bodyguard, when we get back, I can give you a lot of money,"

'Money is everything, lie if I say it doesn't matter,'

"Well, I'll help you find your sister and be your bodyguard,"

Edgurt's expression was immediately overjoyed, he smiled widely and looked at Louis like a fan meeting their idol.

In thorin kingdom, there are oirat city and some other cities, their relationship is like an alliance, where other cities including oirat approve thorin city as the leader of the alliance.

So even though it is in the form of a kingdom, but not a kingdom at the same time.

"Wait on! I smell blood" Louis said.

The smell of blood was like iron, it smelled very thick in the nose and was able to smell at a long distance.

Louis and Edgurt who were walking leisurely were startled by the smell, they immediately checked the surrounding area to look for the origin of the smell.

"What's it from there?" Edgurt said while pointing to the side where he saw blood.

On the designated area, there was indeed a puddle of blood visible.

"Let's check it out" Louis said.

"What?! W-wait,"

Louis walked over to the pool of blood and examined it.

The pool of blood came from behind a huge rock.

"Let's look behind this stone,"

When they walked over to look behind the stone, they were immediately shocked.

"What the fuck?" Edgurt.

It's slaughter.

Louis and Edgurt saw many rim corpses strewn everywhere with some parts on their bodies separated.

The pool of blood that they had just seen came from here, it flowed so much that it decorated the snowy white soil with red color.

"It looks like there was a fight and they lost against the wolves" Edgurt said.

"That's because their opponent might not be an ordinary wolf,"

"Is that so, maybe it's the alpha or the wolf king?"

'With this much, I'm sure they can kill a lot of wolves, unless one of them gets hurt, ' Louis thought.

"The fight probably happened last night, because there were no wolves around here, they were long gone" Louis said.

"So we're safe here?"

"Hmm, maybe,"

Not entirely true, there might be wolves lurking around them secretly.

"For now, let's take what we need, like their food,"

"Of course!"

There was no point in burying them, nor were they important people or acquaintances of Louis.

"Aah!" Shocked Louis.

"What's wrong?" Ask Edgurt.

Louis was a little confused to answer.

The reason Louis was shocked was because of seeing the corpse that was beneath him. The corpse was an old man with blackish red hair.

When he saw her face, he remembered Ashley.

'Is this man Ashley's father?' thought Louis.

Louis thought it was impossible, it was just a coincidence, but all his thoughts were gone when he saw the sword the man was holding.

'This sword, this is the sword that Ashley bought at the blacksmiths of Borgeus, ' Louis thought.

The sword Ashley bought had a curved handle and was covered in red cloth, the blade was also slightly thin and wide, no doubt, Louis actually recognized the sword.

'Ashley will definitely be sad, this is bad, ' Louis thought.

Carrying his corpse would be troublesome, Louis thought doing so after this expedition was over, for now, he better take his sword.

*HUKK!!*

Just as Louis was about to pick up the tightly-held sword, a loud stomp of his feet suddenly sounded from a distance which shocked Louis and edgurt.

"Who is that?" Ask Edgurt.

"Taking weapons from dead bodies is what robbers do,"

A voice rang out, he spoke casually, but his language was lacking and his accent was not similar.

Is that Rim?

When Louis noticed the direction of the sound, he saw a wolf as tall as a gray-feathered tree and had a long, large tail.

His eyes were yellow and exuded a terrifying aura.

"Why do wolves talk?"

The wolf could speak the rim language, it surprised Louis and Edgurt, especially Louis who was a modern man, quite surprisingly heard the animals talking.

"Are you the king of wolves?" Ask Louis.

The wolf's voice was loud and hoarse, it was male, and his posture also looked authoritative, so thinking he was the king of wolves was not a wrong thing.

"No, I'm his follower" he said.

Not a king, but large and able to speak, he must be an alpha wolf, said that they have unique abilities and their physique exceeds that of an ordinary wolf.

"Edgurt, it looks like there's going to be a fight here." Louis said.
