Chapter 15 - Descendants

"Truly a great power, I never expected a rim to be able to bring out that much power" said the alpha wolf.

The alpha wolves thought back to it when their fight was still going on.

The power that the rim radiated in front of him was currently very familiar to him.

With a blue aura and a swift movement like the wind, the alpha wolf recalled its dark past in the sea of tribulations.

Full of hunger and pain, he and the other wolves could only walk in the absence of food.

It was because of a rim.

Depric, one of the oldest northern wolves, lives more than thousands of years, recalling his childhood when he played in the woods with other wolves.

However, disaster comes from the south, the invasion of Rim, a migrant from the south who was driven away by the dragons.

The wolves that inhabit the southern part of the northern hinterland must be defeated by the rims that come from the south.

The western forest was one of the herds left over from Rim's invasion at the time.

The defeat of the northern wolf was actually caused by a rim leading the war.

The rim was named "Cardios," the strongest chief of the rim and rim.

"You must have Cardios' blood in your body, it's worth it that I feel familiar with that blue aura" the depric replied.

'Cardios, who is it?' thought Louis.

"I don't understand what you're talking about?" Ask Louis.

"I don't care even if you understand, but my king will surely be happy to hear this news" said the depric.

The aura within the depric faded and entered into his body, he stepped back and away from Louis.

"What are you doing? It's not over,"

"It's not over yet, but it's enough for now" depric said.

Depric's attitude that stopped the fight made louis confused, he believed depric still had the strength to fight it.

"You give up and run?" Louis asked with a mischievous smile on his face.

"My king was very vengeful to Cardios, if you were his descendants, he would very much want to kill you" Louis said.

Wolf king? Cardios? What depric said really confused Louis.

But he knew Cardios, in the information he got, Cardios was the chieftain who united the rim tribes under him.

Under his leadership, the rim became a great power until the dragons defeated them and drove them into the northern interior.

That was all he knew, other than the small details, there was not a single piece of information about the war, the number of soldiers and the population at that time.

"I don't understand what you're saying. Just get there, let's end this!" Shouted Louis.

The use of Decraith I had almost reached its limit, if her Decraith were to disappear in the middle of a fight, she would be the one to die right then and there.

For that, he had to end it as soon as possible.

With that shout, Louis quickly darted and aimed his punch towards the alpha wolf.

The alpha wolf remained silent staring at Louis sharply.

*BUZZ!!*

Suddenly, a violent burst of aura appeared and pushed Louis backwards.

Louis was bounced away by the burst of aura that made him crash into 2 trees at once.

*BAKK!!*

Louis fell to the ground, the trees he hit falling one after another.

"Are you okay, Louis?!" Edgurt came and helped him stand up.

"W-what happened?" Louis asked as he endured the pain all over his body.

When he saw clearly, the burst of aura came from the alpha wolf he had just fought.

"Happy enough to get here. My king is desperate to kill you, but he'd rather torture his prey first, for that, come back when you're strong enough to hold on" depric said.

"C-strong enough to last?" Ask Louis.

With that burst of aura, it ended their fight, the depric who pushed Louis with his aura turned around and ran away leaving Louis and the edgurt sitting on the ground.

Louis could only be speechless to see him leave, as he looked down, he saw the wounds on his stomach and chest that caused the burst of aura.

His armor shattered, his chest and stomach were injured and imprinted like a burn, if not for the armor of the system and his Decraith I, he was sure he was dead by this time.

"Ughh! Uhugg!" Louis spewed blood, it seemed like he had internal injuries as well.

"You're seriously injured, lie down" said Edgurt.

Louis lay down on the snow and looked at the blue sky while contemplating his fight just now.

"It looks like I'm still very weak" Louis said.

Edgurt who heard that thought of something, he wanted to say his heart, but was reluctant for a moment.

"You are not weak Louis, your strength just now is very similar to his," said edgurt.

"Similar to him, what are you madsud is Cardios?"

"Yes, who else?"

"Do you know him?" Ask Louis.

"Yes. When I was a kid, my teacher talked a lot about Cardios' heroic story and how he built the land for us, let alone his legendary power, the dragon-like Decraith,"

When Edgurt mentioned Decraith, Louis was immediately shocked.

"Do you know what Decraith is?!"

"I don't know much about it, my teacher said that power was given by the ice dragon king to Cardios, so only he had the power of Decraith" replied edgurt.

"So that's why depric says I look like him?" Ask Louis.

"That's what I want to ask you, why do you have Decraith?" Ask Edgurt.

Edgurt's face turned serious, his gaze was sharp and looked at Louis fearlessly, his current attitude was very different from before.

Louis was currently at a loss as to how to explain the origin of his Decraith power, there was no way he could say because of the system.

Edgurt wouldn't believe it.

"You really don't come from dhoren, do you?" Ask Edgurt.

"What's madsudmu?" Louis surprised.

"Dhoren is one of the cities that is famous for its tolerance of foreigners, you who come from there certainly know it, but you even acknowledge my words" said Edgurt.

Louis was silent, the fight was over, but the next fight came again.

"Your name also sounds foreign, say Mr. louis, where are you from?" Ask Edgurt.

Louis is really caught at the moment, he doesn't know when this rim by the name of edgurt is watching him, he's off guard, or, he's really stupid to know someone who's been watching him all along.

"Even if I say it, you won't believe it" said louis.

Edgurt's silent turn, thinking of his next move, thought as he looked at Louis.

"It's okay if you don't say it, anyway, it's none of my business" said Edgurt.

Edgurt picked up something in the bag he got from the corpses of the rim lying on the snow.

There he took a piece of bandage and then pointed it at Louis' body.

"For now, you have to close your wound before you bleed out" Edgurt said.
