The Roof You Promised

The Roof You Promised
Section 47 - Mail Couriers

Time passed very quickly, it was already the seventh day since Herjuno left home after divorcing Aurorae.

Aurorae sighed softly. Looking at her phone lying on the dresser.

Had Herjuno just called her and apologized, Aurorae would have gladly accepted her back.

But apparently not , the man did not contact her at all.

Aurorae sat on the bed hugging her knees and drowned her face there. He sobbed again, I don't know what this time he cried.

Dira went into the room without knocking on the door. And hugged him tightly. Letting Aurorae cry to satisfaction.

"Tonight only. I'll just cry one more time. Tomorrow, I promise it will be fine." he said on the sidelines sobbing.

Dira nodded. "Take your tears tonight."

"Thank you for staying over every day. I don't know, if there's no you and Madam Dea." Aurorae has not had any close friends since she quit her job.

"No problem. I love playing with the twins."

That night Aurorae literally cried all night, and Dira did not interrupt at all. He just hugged and occasionally rubbed his back slowly.

The next day, Aurorae woke up with a fresher face. He went downstairs for breakfast and there was Dea there. I was chatting with Gumilar and Dira.

Aurorae smiles. "Why are you here so early?"

"Can't you? I want to take breakfast."

Gumilar. "Let's have breakfast after that talk."

Dea silently smiled happily watching the more cheerful Aurora. Aurorae chews her food more cheerfully, no more scenes of stirring rice up a dozen times before feeding a spoon into the mouth.

After breakfast, Gumilar asks Bi Izza to accompany the twins above. Aurorae Dea and Dira are asked to stay to talk.

"What's up, Dad?" aurorae asked after they all sat together on the living room sofa.

Gumilar opened a milky-white map. Take out all the contents. There was one piece of paper, and several sheets of photos.

Gumilar handed the paper to Aurorae.

A statement letter with the hospital logo where Aurorae gave birth.

Aurorae. Reading one by one the sentences listed, whether at a second to how much his hands slightly shook. Eyes glazed.

Dira who was right next to him, reflexes stroked his back slowly.

"It's okay. I'm fine." Aurorae turned to Dira with a smile.

Aurorae. "Thank you Dad." He hugged the paper he had just read. A letter from the hospital stated they had never done a DNA test with samples on behalf of Herjuno Ardhi with Ryan and Ryana.

It's obvious, the DNA test results the other day were fake. I don't know where it came from.

"And this, it's the culprit." Gumilar thrust some photos that he also removed from the map. Some of the photos were clearly taken from CCTV footage.

Aurorae. The first photo shows a woman in nurse's clothing, who is seen accidentally nudging Aurorae's purse.

The second and third photos, as the woman crouches picking up Aurorae's belongings.

The fourth photo, clearly visible the woman secretly grabbed the envelope from her pocket.

The fifth photo, when the woman stuffed the envelope into the Aurorae bag.

The sixth photo, as the woman reached out the bag to Aurorae while slightly bowing.

Ah, Aurorae remembers. This was the incident a few months ago in the hospital when he and Bi Izza came for a pediatrician visit. A few days after the twins were born.

The seventh photo, is when a pair of men and women held out two envelopes to the self-styled nurse, one of which is clearly visible envelope DNA test results found a few days ago in Aurorae bag.

And the last photo, when the woman received both envelopes in her hand.

That last photo was strongly rematted by Aurorae.

She was angry, not as a wife. But as a mother, she couldn't accept when her children's origins were questioned.

"Is this Satya?" Aurorae asked looking at Dira. The reason he recognized the woman who held out two envelopes to the nurse was Megumi.

Dira nodded.

"Father can drag the woman here if you ma-" Gumilar's words paused when the bell rang from the front door.

"Let me just Om." Dea went up, checked who came in early this morning.

There was a faint sound of Dea talking to someone, then closing the door.

He returned to the living room with an envelope in his hand.

"The mail courier" he said before everyone asked. He extended the letter to Aurorae.

Deg.

"From the court." murmured Aurorae softly, with a slight forced smile.
