The Roof You Promised

The Roof You Promised
Section 58 - Finish Your Meals

"What do you mean, Mom?" Megumi quickly mastered herself. "He's my friend. Because of this video you're accusing me of still seeing Haidar's real father? You're so unreasonable. Look, we're not just the two of us here"

"Is that woman your friend?"

"Y. yeah. They're lovers. I accidentally met them, and chatted for a while. You're totally outrageous, if my friend heard about this, where would my face be kept?" His lips softened Herjuno.

Herjuno. He traced Megumi's face with an inexplicable look.

A moment later, he laughed loudly.

"Gee, you've been playing the role really well. Even though you betrayed me, but I didn't expect you to fool me all out." he said still on the sidelines laughing.

"How can I trust you so much, Megumi." her voice swallowed, her gaze also dimmed no longer sharp.

"Mas, deng-"

"Me , enough. Aren't you tired?" Herjuno took a slow breath.

"Megumi Anastasya, I Herjuno Ardhi divorced you. From this second on, you are no longer my wife." she continued in a stifled voice.

"Mas!" Pekik Megumi could not believe it.

Herjuno passes into her room, ignoring Megumi who still seems to want to talk.

He packed all his clothes and personal belongings. Put it in a suitcase and a large bag.

Megumi stomps rough Herjuno hand.

"What are you doing, Mom? You divorced me? Huh uh?"

Herjuno. He kept moving to pack his things.

"Don't treat me like this, Herjuno. I'm the one who accompanies you in tough times when you have nothing"

Herjuno slams his suitcase, making Megumi's speech pause.

"That's why I'm gonna get out of here. This house, the car you used, Haidar's education savings, and the contents of your account are my hard work. I won't count even if Haidar isn't my son! Let's end it quickly, seeing your face makes me sick!"

Herjuno took back his suitcase and bag, passing by Megumi just like that.

"Ah yes, everything you saw earlier I got from Aurorae's father. Get ready, Mr. Gumilar won't be quiet with you, that man, that stupid nurse you paid for" she said before she actually walked out of the room.

Megumi slumped to the floor. Body shaking.

So Aurorae's father found out?

What the hell does he know?

Aurorae stared at the dense one of the streets of Surabaya from a large window in her room. His hands were crossed on his chest, his thoughts twisting again the beautiful memories of the past two years.

The first time Herjuno approached her.

When they got married.

Birth of the twins.

Aurorae sighed softly. There was no angry and disappointed look on his face. He promised to give it all up.

"Rae, there's Mr. Gumilar and Mbak Dira below." Bi Izza's voice broke his reverie.

"What's? Why did it suddenly come?" Aurorae grabbed the hair pigtails on the table and then stepped out of the room.

When he came down the stairs, he saw his father and his best friend there.

"Surprise, huh? Am I a child?" Aurorae. He was a little surprised, because no one said that his father and best friend would come.

Dira chuckles. Letting Aurorae hug Gumilar first.

"How's Dad doing?" ask without letting go of hugs.

"Very good. Father's children and grandchildren how's it going?"

Aurorae. "healthy. Everything's fine."

Gumilar hugged his daughter tightly. "Stop making me worry, after this you should be happy."

"I'm sorry, Dad."

Aurorae hugged Dira. "It's a long time for you, Miss."

"It turns out I don't have a husband this happy, I don't want to get married again."

"Get me talk!" Aurorae pulled Dira's ear slowly.

Gumilar chuckled as he headed towards the kitchen.

Aurorae is very happy, after a few days only accompanied by the twins and Bi Izza, tonight she can eat with her father and Dira.

"The city of Malang is not far from here, I heard there are many beautiful places. Wanna visit?" Aurorae stared at Dira in the middle of her dinner.

But Dira shook her head. "I had to work hard until the caterers were able to buy our own aircraft for distribution. My plane ticket is tomorrow afternoon."

Aurorae then turned to look at her father.

"Dad, just stay here so as not to be lonely. No need to worry about the cost of living , Dira promised to work hard." said Aurorae origin.

Dira chuckles. "Don't you better hide your bad intentions?"

"For what? You promised anyway! So I'm just gonna enjoy life here."

"Yes, I'll accompany you here. The house in Garut there is Bi Ita who takes care of. And the house in Bandung, Dad's been asking Farhan to re-market."

Aurorae just nodded. Recalling the times when his father stopped selling the house because Aurorae who had just married did not have a place to live.

"It's okay, Dira?" Gumilar tried to melt the atmosphere because of the Aurorae that returned to daydreaming.

Dira laughs. "Of! That's right."

Of course Gumilar was just joking. The old man's savings won't even run out even if he and Aurorae don't work. Not to mention the plantation business he had, although on a small scale but the results were more than enough to just bear the lives of his children and grandchildren.

Aurorae hugged her father from the side. "Thank you" he said softly.

"Recycle your food."
