Section 64 - What's Right?

"Then why don't you stay here?" Ryan looked at Ryan expectantly.

"Do you understand divorce? Of course they live apart."

"I mean, Mama and Papa Tiffany are also divorced but they're still living together."

Ryan nodded. "really? Tiffany said that?"

"No. I see her Papa taking Tiffany to school every morning, and in the afternoon she's picked up by her Mama."

Ryan took a deep breath. He had been very trying to restrain himself from cursing his sister.

"Maybe his father's house is close by, so he can take him to school while leaving for his place of work."

Ryan nodded his head understanding. He ran to his mother at the dinner table near the kitchen.

"Mother, why don't you work in Surabaya? Or why don't we just live in Bandung?"

Aurorae, who had stolen the conversation of her twins, was not surprised anymore. All this time he thought , it was good enough to give everything the kids needed. But it turns out that still, they miss the whole family.

"Later I'll talk to Dad." Aurorae gently rubbed her daughter's head.

"Really?" His eyes are already shining.

Aurorae.

Ryana directly passed towards the stairs to go up to the second floor.

"Abang! Later in the future we will meet with Dad more often." he shouted before actually climbing the stairs.

The boy was very happy, as if he often met his father was the thing he wanted the most.

Aurorae sighed as she watched Ryan follow her sister.

"Slow down 'em, no need to force." Gumilar who had been listening since, rubbed the back of Aurorae.

"Actually I talked about this with Mrs Dea yesterday. I've considered it Dad, so it's okay. I'm just surprised, it turns out that's what the kids want."

Gumilar nodded in understanding. "Our relationship with Herjuno has long since improved, so there's no reason to stay here any longer."

Gumilar deliberately uses our pronouns instead of you, he does not want Aurorae to assume this uncomfortable situation is because he is a person. After all, Gumilar supported all the decisions of the Aurorae.

This morning Herjuno really kept his promise to come take the children's report at school. Since morning, Aurorae's house has been busy with Ryana who is impatient to show off her father in front of school friends.

Even last night, he slept late due to chatting a lot of things with Herjuno. Luckily, every time Herjuno visited Surabaya to visit his children, Aurorae allowed him to stay in Ryan's room. The woman was indeed generous, therefore Herjuno would not demand more.

"Grandpa, if Ryana is in the top five, what would Grandpa give you?" the boy wrestled spoiled in Gumilar's arm before getting into the car.

"Ryana wants what gift?" Gumilar asked.

"Vacation ! Ryan wants to stay in a good hotel!" The boy cheered cheerfully.

Gumilar seemed to chuckle then fell silent for a moment.

"If there are in the top three, we will move to live in Bandung."

"really? Really? Don't lie!" Ryan took Gumilar's hand.

Not only was Ryana waiting for answer , Herjuno was a little surprised and now his heart was pounding waiting for Gumilar's answer.

"really. Isn't it Mom?" Gumilar stared at the Aurorae.

Aurorae nodded her head while glancing slightly at Herjuno who was also looking at her.

"Yeah! I promised you!" Ryana cheered, then jumped into the car.

The car that Herjuno was driving shot after saying goodbye to Gumilar.

Herjuno cleared his throat slowly, wanting to ask what Gumilar said earlier but he was confused how. So from then on he just stole a glance towards Aurorae who was sitting next to him, and occasionally cleared his nerves. So it continues until the car reaches school.

"Rae, can we talk to you for a second?" Herjuno finally ventured, after noon they reached home.

"Let's go to lunch first."

Herjuno glanced at the stairs, Ryan and Ryana came down after cleaning themselves and changing their clothes.

"Mother, we're eating out tonight, right?" half-running Ryana approached Aurorae.

"Gum." Aurorae only muttered while nodding faintly.

While at the dinner table, Ryan did not end up telling her how happy she was today. Being able to come to school and show off his father to his friends was what he wanted the most from a long time ago. Moreover, earlier everyone praised, saying his father was very cool.

Although he was sad because he did not enter the top five, Ryana was carefree again because Aurorae assured that they would still move to Bandung in the near future.

Because of Aurorae's answer as well, Herjuno's heart pounded even more. He wanted to finish this lunch and find some certainty about what Aurorae had said.

Aurorae immediately asked the children to play in the backyard when lunch was over. He said he would discuss something important with Herjuno so that children understand not to interfere.

"About what you said, um.. stay in Bandung, can I ask if it's true?" herjuno said impatiently as the two of them just sat on the living room sofa.
