Section 73 - Don't Apologize

Aurorae was sitting in a cafe near Stockholm Group. He deliberately chose a table on the north side that was side by side with a large window. From where he sat, it was clear the Stockholm Group building that Aurorae had forgotten how many floors, maybe nineteen? It's been a long time since he last set foot there.

"I'm sorry, you waited a long time?" Herjuno takes the place facing the Aurorae.

Aurorae. Scan Herjuno's appearance this afternoon. A sky blue shirt with sleeves rolled up to elbows, and pants material in black. Gosh look, he's almost half a century old but there's no belly there.

"Eh." Aurorae cleared her throat, why was she suddenly nervous.

"I came early on purpose" he said again and drank a bit of ice chocolate earlier.

Herjuno smiled, he caught clearly the nervous face of his ex-wife. Oh, my God, what the fuck are they both like teenagers who just love.

"What's important?" asked Herjuno as one of the maids passed after taking down his order.

Aurorae cleared her throat again. He again drank his iced chocolate makes Herjuno hold back a laugh. Can he be confident? That Aurorae still loves him?

"Mas , about us-"

"Rae! Aurorae!" A woman approached, before Aurorae could continue her sentence.

"real right. How long have we not seen each other?" The woman - Tania - hugged the Aurorae.

"Tania? How are you?"

"I'm good. You how? Since marrying Mr. Juno you cut off all our contacts, even when divorced you left Bandung. Oh, my God, that's so mean!" Tania hits Aurorae's arm slowly.

Aurorae. "I'm sorry. But I routinely ask your news and others to Madam Dea."

"Sad. Dea resigned from the company a few years ago. Maudy too, she quits after marrying Far-" Tania pauses her sentence for a moment. "wait. You know Maudy's married?"

Aurorae chuckled again, then nodded. "I'll come to the wedding if you forget!" He hit Tania's arm slowly. "Then maybe nine or ten years ago, I accidentally met him in Surabaya."

Herjuno. Seems like a look of dislike for Tania's words earlier. Why does she hesitate to tell Aurorae that Maudy is married to Farhan. Hid. He thinks Aurorae will be disappointed? Just be right.

"really? Ah anyway, our team used to be the best. Now there's only me, Ms. Tita, Farel and a few new kids left. Farhan has also moved to another division."

"I'm sorry" said Herjuno suddenly making Aurorae look up.

Aurorae almost forgot, there was this man before her.

"I didn't give you a comfortable marriage, just yet. I'm sorry." continued Herjuno again. Tania's words were disturbing her mind. About Aurorae who cut off contact after the wedding. Because what else? Of course because Aurorae is uncomfortable, right?

Aurorae. Then smile. "Our marriage was, not just your decision. Why apologize."

"Eat first, after that we talk." Herjuno finally broke up.

He vividly remembers the Aurorae saying about us before Tania's arrival interrupts. Of course, what Aurorae will talk about is something important, between life and death. He wants them to talk calmly.

Aurorae ate slowly, she was not in a hurry. No, not because he wanted to spend more time with Herjuno but suddenly the sentence he had strung together in his head since last night disappeared because of his nervousness. Oh, my God, he's not even a teenager anymore. Meet Herjuno almost every day because the man never misses the opportunity to just have dinner with the children. Why are you so nervous.

Herjuno asks the waiter to clear their table after Aurorae finishes her lunch. He did not want to be bothered with unimportant things when they spoke later.

"So, what's important about Rae?" herjuno's voice softened, he did not want Aurorae to tense up.

"Is there a problem with the kids?" Idiotically. It was clear that Aurorae said that we were tense, why even discuss children.

Aurorae. "The kids are fine."

He cleared up again. "It's about us."

Aurorae paused her sentence for a moment. "I'm sorry."
