The Roof You Promised

The Roof You Promised
Section 78 - Changing Your Mind?

Herjuno stared at his two children. Since then the grip of both hands in each hand of children he never let go. His heart was pounding, he was much more nervous now than when talking to Gumilar that night.

Ryan glanced at Ryan. After hearing his father's confession, he did not know what to say. Is your mom and dad back together? Of course he'll be very happy. But is his mother willing? That's what he's thinking. Don't let his mother be forced to accept their father back just because they have seen the overreaction of happiness from Ryan and Ryana.

"Dad.." Ryan took a voice, his hands clasping Herjuno's hands tighter and tighter.

"Dad is the best Dad for us. Although we live apart, Ryan and I never lack anything."

Ryan nodded confidently confirming her sister's speech.

"Me and Ryana have always been proud to have a Dad like Dad. If offered by another father, we wouldn't."

Herjuno. There was a corner of his heart that felt it necessary to hear the words of his son.

While Ryan took a slow breath, pausing his words for a moment. "As a Dad, Dad was perfect. But Dad, as my mom's husband, I think I deserve a lot better."

Deg.

Herjuno.

"Dad don't misunderstand me. I told you, Dad is the perfect Dad." Ryan was afraid his father would think of something else.

"But Dad, I don't want Mom to go back to Dad just because we are, because we want us to be happy until Mom doesn't care about her own happiness. We don't want to. Just like this, we are very happy. Dad never left us, we just stayed apart."

Ryan nodded quickly. "Dad don't be sad, I mean if you really want and happy Mom, of course we are also very happy. But if you guys get back together just because of us, we'll be sad."

"Once Dad is, we want you to be happy too. We love you as much as we love you. Come back if it makes Mom and Dad happy. Don't be forced to just feel guilty for us." Ryan hugged Herjuno, drowning his face in his father's shoulder.

"I beg you not to be sad, we love you very much."

Herjuno's tears escaped uncontrollably. He hugged Ryan.

"Dad is our Dad, you said we were proud to have a Dad like Dad." Ryana also hit her sister's body from behind, hugging Herjuno.

Two days have passed since Herjuno's tour with her two children, and during these two days neither Ryan nor Ryan have spoken anything to the Aurorae.

This afternoon, Aurorae and Herjuno promised to have lunch together at a cafe near Stockholm Group, the company where Herjuno works. Talking about this at home, makes them less free. So Herjuno asks Aurorae to meet him outside the house.

"What's the problem, ma'am?" aurorae asked because Herjuno had been less excited since then while continuing to stir the food in front of him.

Herjuno took a breath for a moment. "Rae, be honest. Are you ready to come back to me?"

Aurorae. "Mas , we've discussed this before, right? I'll consider it, if Dad and the kids agree."

"Forget it first about the others, what about you? Deep down, are you ready?" Honestly, Herjuno was starting to get scared. Fear that what the kids say is true. About the Aurorae who might receive it back just for the sake of the children. Herjuno did not want to be like that, as if Aurorae was forced to take it back.

"You doubt?" Ask Herjuno again because Aurorae has not spoken.

"I love you, Rae. Loves you so much. You coming back to me is my greatest hope. But if you're willing just to think about the kids, if you ignore your own feelings, I can't."

Herjuno paused for a moment his sentence. "I'm sorry I didn't know myself to ask you back. I even ignored the possibility that you were only considering children, proving once again that I was very selfish. If it wasn't for Ryan and Ryan's words, I might never have noticed. I'm sorry."

Herjuno took a deep breath, laboriously holding back his cries. "It's okay if you can't take me back, as long as you don't stay away from me, that's enough for me."

"Mas, did you change your mind?"
