Episode 1: Valerie's new family

A cry echoed filled the delivery room. A handsome baby boy with a jet black iris was born into the world, Leon Ghifari Antar. The name given to Elena's son by Valerie, the woman who had helped him out of his misery. It means a valiant man who is easily forgiving and tender in heart, given to life by remembering good prayers as his name suggests. In order that someday if he met his father he would not hate too much—also later he had to live bravely like a lion, the king of the forest.

In the hospital room, Valerie shed tears. Not expecting the decision to be taken would give him the overwhelming feeling he had now. The terrifying sight he had just witnessed.

"So don't look, my son."

Elena smiled with a happy sobbing looking at the baby boy in her arms, while the woman named Valerei smiled sincerely while nodding her enthusiasm at the woman in front of her.

His eyes saw the watch on his hand. Already at 10am, he had to go to the office to complete his duties before he left the company he had been with for 10 years.

He walked towards the sofa picking up the bag then turned back and stood by Elena's side. “I'll be in the office for a while, anything you need?”

Justifying Leon's position, after which he shook his head quickly. “No brother, thank you.”

“Quick back mami” said him again, imitating the voice of a child. In response, Valerie laughed softly and disappeared behind the door.

After Valerie's departure, Elena looked out the window of the hospital room. A flash of the past flashed past, recalling how people's treatment of him back then made his tears glow. This meek woman has been through a lot of painful things.

He then turned to look at Leon's face. "Grow well son, mommy and mommy will protect you!" she said to Leon who didn't understand anything, she's a baby!

Not forgetting he reminded himself. "Elena, don't ever forget Valerie's kindness, however much you and your son owe her" Elena added.

Feeling lucky to meet Valerie at the most difficult time in her life, even though she and Valerie do not know very well and only know each other she is a good friend of her friend's sister, Ji Hyo.

“Please listen to me." Elena fell down and begged.

"Rey! this woman is lying. How dare he! you've seen it!” said the blonde woman cynically.

"No Rey, I never left this house! you can ask your officers and guards."

Elena cried withstanding her stomach pain. God is sick, he said in his heart.

None of them opened their mouths, even the people Elena thought were nice to her in the house were all silent.

"Go, I don't want to see you anymore." Rey steps away as Elena's tears fall.

The woman shouted while smiling sinisterly looking at Elena who was sitting on the floor.

"Rey! remember when that woman (Rey's mother) betrayed your father. How your father ended up pathetic."

"Guards! take this despicable woman out." again she shouted.

If I can't be with Rey, then neither can you. An envious cheer.

Rey didn't pay any attention to Elena. Some guards came and dragged him out. For a moment, on the doorstep Elena faintly saw the employees working in this house crying and bowed. What really happened, in my heart.

Elena walked dozens of kilos somewhere, this poor woman had no place to hide nor had a penny to survive in the future.

A few hours later Elena saw a stop. "Thank God, we can rest here son" while stroking his flat stomach.

"Please come with me, the doctor wants to talk." directed the doctor's office.The nurse was busy with a file in her hand while taking Valerie to see the doctor.

Not far from there, the doctor's room was right in front of him.A nurse from inside opened the door and invited. "Please sit down,"

The doctor sighed first then looked at the computer, stopped then asked carefully. "May I know where her husband is?"

Valerei smiled. "His husband is on a business trip. Elena's okay, isn't she?" she lies. Obviously he didn't know where Rey was going.

The doctor nodded. "Yes, I'd better. This is a medicine that must be redeemed. Please tell her husband, Elena's mother must gain weight." she sighed, feeling compassion for the patient's condition.

After talking to the doctor, Valerei again contacted Rey, until her finger was tired and did not get an answer. Not wanting to linger, Valerei went to redeem Elena's medicine and rushed back to the treatment room.

On the doorstep of the room, Valerei faintly heard the sound of crying.

"Elena?" call Valerie

Valerie was standing at the side of the bed, she was trying to figure out what happened to Elena, what about her husband who could not be contacted.

“Elena, I know this is none of my business but may I know what happened? Where's Rey and why were you at the stop?" valerie said straight away slowly and carefully

A few seconds, Elena was still silent. Valerie's trying to understand, maybe she hasn't wanted to tell me what's going on. "If you don't want a story-" Valerie hasn't had time to finish her words, Elena held her hand making her stop talking.

Elena was silent for a moment, then the story flowed from her thin lips. Valerei heard silently as she clenched her hand. That guy!

"Then you know where Rey is now? Maybe he's worried, you should go home.”

However difficult, they are husband and wife. Something he can't mix just because they know each other.

Elena shook her head, that answer was not the best. At least for Valerie.

“So, what kind of solution do you need?”

“I don't want to go home, Rey doesn't want to see me anymore. Under these circumstances I was afraid that my son was in danger" he said, with a raucous brush, Valerei stroked his soft hair

“I'll call Rey. If he answers and asks you to come home, then I will take you home but if otherwise, you can come with me. You can choose.”

“You okay?” he said when he saw the woman's face pale.

“Ya, thank you.”

He went back into the room, and his phone rang. A message came in. Messages you don't want to read. Rey says she wants a divorce and she has to see Jeong's lawyer because her personal lawyer has been fired.

Valerie did not reply, ignored the message and she called Frederick.

"Frederick?"

"What's Valerie doing?"

The man always answered quickly.

"Can you help me?"

"Something happened?"

"Yes, something happened, help me take care of the passpord for someone.”

He looked at Elena and ended the call. "You'll be fine, pray to your god.”

Back, Valerei came with a bag of fruit. She smiled looking at the beautiful face of the woman lying on the bed. "You can go home, said the nurse" he told Elena immediately replied with a nod.

"Leon,” said.

"Sister." Elena called

"Hemm" without turning around, he's cool with Leon. Her tiny cheeks were an easy target for Valerei but since Leon was a kid so he didn't touch just anyone.

"Sorry to trouble you. It's been almost a year since we've been here, do you want to go home?" ask him carefully

Valerie immediately turned to look at Elena, with a frowned, Valerei replied.

"Going home? to indonesia you mean? well, I'll be home for the day."

He was still silent even after hearing Valerei's words, there was still something stuck.

"Why? this is the first time you've asked,"

"Not coming back to Indonesia, I mean to Korea." Elena looked at Valerei and bowed.

"Hinduced your husband?" guess Valerei.

Elena answered him immediately. "Not so, I'm just afraid of bothering you for too long. You know it's been almost a year"

"What are you saying? we're family, what a hassle! after all, I'm here to work too, want this 1 year even more, don't feel you're troublesome. I thank you for being you and Leon, I'm not alone in a country of people either."

"This is the last time you say you're troublesome, okay!? I never thought of it that way!" he said, reminding Elena that there is no word troublesome for family.

Before talking to Valerie. Elena thought that the woman would feel uncomfortable after almost 1 year in a foreign country without family and friends. But after talking to Valerie and hearing her own words, Elena's heart became relieved. That night and the nights after that they passed happily with Leon who did not even understand anything.
