The Seirei Gensouki Spirit Chronicles

The Seirei Gensouki Spirit Chronicles
Chapter 4: Encounter's

The next morning, the two stepped into the great forest. The entrance of the forest was far behind them after a few minutes of walking.

Flora (plants) that grow too dense make everything dark even in the middle of the day, when sunlight is filtered by the tree canopy above. The ground is uneven, making it difficult to traverse, and

it is difficult to advance in a straight line. Rio and Latifa used their natural physical abilities to continue along the pathless route with ease.

There are trees and plants as far as the eye can see – similar sights can be seen no matter in the direction

where they turn. Normally, one would immediately lose their way and struggle to find a way out, but Rio did not hesitate at all. Every now and then, he would climb to the top of a tall tree and re-examine their direction, adjusting it as they went. Seeing such a reliable figure of Rio made all of Latifa's anxiety disappear.

Still, they found some ferocious beasts on the way. For example, a group of intelligent and persistent wolves and a four-meter-long tiger-like beast with fangs as sharp as knives appeared, but both were able to repel them with Rio's power. After developing throughout the day, the first day of their forest exploration ended fruitlessly. The incident happened on their second day

living in the forest.

“Onii-chan ... is really weak, but I can smell something foreign around here. Diverse scents.

” In the dark forest, night arrived quickly. It was almost time for them to find a camping spot when Latifa told Rio, twitching their noses while doing so.

“.... And it's not the smell you kissed until now?”

“Yes! I remember all the scent of the animals we encountered since entering the forest. It was not as powerful as the others, so it was probably not a savage beast? But it was probably because the aroma was weak …? I want to know ..” Latifa tilted her head in confusion.

“Then the scent owner is nowhere near here, right?”

“Maybe. Yes I think so.”

“Then we will rest here for today. We are almost at our destination soon. ”

“Betulkah? We'll finally get out of the woods!” Latifa grinned happily, while Rio smiled with a slightly troubled expression. That night, the two of them went into a narrow shelter

they were as usual, lying side by side.

“Onii-chan, can I hold your hand?”

“Sure,” replied Rio, offering his hand apart from the tense smile on his face.

Once their hands are connected, Latifa can get a quiet night's sleep. When not, she sometimes starts crying in the middle of the night.

“Ehe. Good night, Onii-chan.” Latifa said, falling asleep not long after.

After she was sure she was asleep, Rio closed his eyes as well. As it slowly slipped to the ground

in order to sleep, he stretched some of his consciousness around them so that he could react to any abnormalities around him. Then, a few hours later .. Rio's eyes jolted open.

She looked to his side and saw Latifa sound asleep. Gently moving his hands away from her, he took off the emergency door to the entrance of their tent and went out. There was a strange and uneasy feeling in his chest for some reason, but the forest was pitch black,

and there was no sign of any other living creatures around him. Their neighborhood is almost empty. Suddenly, a cold wind blew onto his skin; today it was colder than usual. He made a bonfire near the shelter entrance so Latifa did not catch a cold.

“Onii Chan...?” Latifa nervous voice could be heard from inside the tent.

“I'm here. Go to bed.”

Rio stroked Latifa head and spoke softly to her. To give him a quiet rest

without crying at night, she manipulates her essence to mimic sleep magic. With a sigh of fatigue, Rio looked up at the sky. He could not see that far, even with the campfire and his nightly adjusted vision, but he could spy on the star-filled sky through the gaps of the trees.

With his drowsiness completely fading away, Rio warmed himself near the campfire and

boil water to drink. A fire lit up, shining down on his face. As he pushed the coals that wanted to die with a stick, a gentle breeze swept over his body gently. Hm? Rio turned towards the wind blowing.

it was so close ?!

Rio gritted his teeth, then jumped to his feet, drawing his sword from its sheath. The silver wolf in front of him showed absolutely no signs of the expected ferocity of a beast; its presence was extremely weak. Despite its wolf shape, there is something unnatural about it – is almost like it does not exist.

Rio focused his attention on the silver wolf, unwilling to take it out of his sight. It was like when he let his eyes drift, the wolf would not leave. Suddenly, the silver wolf began to shine; bursts of light spread around him. White filled Rio's gaze, making him close his eyes involuntarily.

Oh, no .. it was in front of my eyes– just as the thought flashed through his mind, Rio felt a lot

presences appeared around him, one after another.

They're hiding! Are they half human ?! How did they know we were here?

Despite being surprised, Rio calmly analyzed the current situation. But even as he did that, the group of half-humans continued to approach. Time is up – he has no time to think. Rio lightly stepped on the ground, flooding the essence into the surrounding land. The ground around the shelter emerged from the ground,

forming the wall where Latifa slept. He could say the attackers were a little confused by the way they were moving in response, but they weren't naive enough to let their defense down just like that. Rio's vision had yet to recover, but he could tell that they were actually surrounding him. He sensed that one of them was quickly approaching him, which prompted him to dodge by jumping to the side.

As soon as he proved that he could respond to a surprise attack even when blinded, the air around the attackers increased all at once. Rio further increased his defense.

He may have managed to dodge the first attack, but his vision is still blurred, and he does not know the strength of the opponent – anyone can say that this situation is bad. His satusatiris rahmat

his savior was the fact that they were aiming to capture him alive. After all, there were many other ways they could approach him if they intended to kill him.

Which means negotiations should be possible. With that thought, Rio opened his mouth – but the first presence that attacked him clicked their tongue impatiently and launched a second attack.

“Hey, wait a minute!” Rio shouted hurriedly, but his opponent showed no signs of stopping.

Having no other choice, Rio prepared to activate the abnormal abilities of the other imitators, keeping the intensity of the situation under control. It was not an offensive technique: it was a clone of the Revelare Zone magic

it allows him to pour his essence around him and detect the essence reacting, like sonar. His true goal was to use it as a temporary replacement for his lost vision. He could detect the number and position of his opponent.

“ Uzuma, retreat! This guy uses some kind of spirit art! ”

A girl standing on the edge of the circle surrounding Rio – who seems to be the same age as her, with long silver-blonde hair and wolf ears sticking out of her head – shouted

in a language that Rio did not understand. In response to the voice of the first girl, the girl named Uzuma – who seemed to be in her mid-twenties and grew beautiful bird wings from her back – froze in her approach.

“It's okay ... it's just spirit art that detects nearest ode!” Another girl in the circle of – is also the same age as Rio but with very long and somewhat round emerald golden hair – immediately chimed in.

“She should not be able to see, but it would be wise to assume she knows our number and position now. Japos ..”

a short girl standing next to the fairy muttered while sighing. She looked slightly younger than Rio, with fiery red hair, short, and dwarf ears that were the same shape as the other girls.

I don't know what they're saying, but the atmosphere has changed a little. My chance.

After making that judgment, Rio took the opportunity to start a conversation with the purpose of buying time.

“Please wait! Are you demi-humans? If so, I'd like to talk to you. ” All

people present frowned in reaction to the word “demi-human.”

“nona Sara, humans are vile looters. He might look like a child, but he had the skills to make it this far into this region. He definitely didn't do anything ”

saran Uzuma with a stern tone, looked towards the silver wolf girl named Sara.

“ ... I know. However, we need to know what the goal is,” Sara said, furrowing her brows uneasily.
