The Trapped Princess

The Trapped Princess
Purple Wisteria Park in the middle of Pearl Lake

"Welcome Your Majesty," said the Five Elders of Yellow Mountain and Hyana together, they saluted the Queen Mother, King, Queen and Crown Prince Elrick who came to visit.

"What do the elders want to say to invite us to this beautiful Yellow Mountain?" ask Aaron the king.

"Actually it wasn't us who invited," Riley replied with a knotty smile.

The Queen Mother caught something unnatural, Riley's face did show a smile, but her eyes seemed to imply deep sorrow.

"Chairman Riley, who gave us the invitation?" ask the mother curiously.

Riley looked at Arion, then nodded slowly.

"Let's follow the servant, Your Majesty. Someone was waiting in the middle of the pearl lake" Arion said as he took a step towards the lake.

Riley, Agra, Ranu, Arva and Hyana followed behind in silence, they seemed to be swept away in something sad.

Elrick hugged his mother's limp-looking body since setting foot on the yellow mountain. "Mother, is the mother still strong to walk? Should I call Reona?"

Aurora shook her head looking at her handsome son, "no need son, mother wants to remember the step that mother passed this time, to meet him."

Elrick wanted to ask further about who his mother meant, but from a long time ago he knew that it was a taboo question to ask.

"We are here, Your Majesty," said Arion, standing by the lake of pearls.

The Queen Mother looked around and found Gentala who seemed to be wrapping her body in the middle of the lake.

"O dragon emperor Gentala, did you invite us?" the queen mother asked politely, her voice echoing throughout the lake.

Gentala opened his eyes, he looked at the people by the lake. "It's not me, but Your Majesty is the one who invited you," Gentala said in a weak voice.

"Your Majesty? Do you mean my daughter Eleanor? Where is he?" aurora asked with teary eyes.

Gentala did not answer, he chose to open his body that had been circular. Shortly after Gentala shifted, a small garden was seen in the middle of the lake, filled with purple wisteria flowers.

"Welcome, Your Majesty," said Alardo bowed followed by Blevine beside him.

"You're coming!" Ariadna waved her hand and made a bridge using her magic, a bridge that connected the edge of the lake with a small garden in the middle of the pearl lake. "Come here, Eleanor has been waiting a long time."

The Queen Mother, King, Queen and Prince Elrick rushed across the bridge made by Ariadna, while the five higher-ups of Yellow Mountain and Hyana waited by the lake with their heads bowed.

"Where's my daughter?" asked Aaron when he arrived, he looked around but did not find the figure he was looking for, there was only a purple eisteria flower that filled his view. "Great magician Ariadna, please meet me with my daughter" Aaron asked in a trembling voice.

"Before meeting him, I wanted to ask him something," Ariadna looked at the four people before her in turn. "If time can be replayed, is there anything you want to change?" ask Ariadna straightforwardly.

"Even if I could go back in time, I wouldn't change anything." The Queen Mother lowered her head, "I will still send Eleanor away with Isabel to another dimension, even to this day I still think it is the best option to save Eleanor."

"Even if it doesn't end up where you decided, do you still not regret Lilian?" ariadna asked the queen mother.

"No," replied the queen firmly. "Knowing that Eleanor managed to survive, is a gift I've always been grateful for, even though I couldn't hold her all this time."

Ariadna let out a long sigh, her eyes turning to the King, "didn't you regret choosing Elrick and taking Eleanor off, Aaron?"

Elrick was shocked at the question the great wizard asked his father. Her mother's hand was holding her hand tightly.

The King looked at his silent son in the Queen's arms. "No, because of that choice now I can see my son growing up to be a great candidate for leadership" Aaron replied. He looked Ariadna in the eyes, "although I could not give a fatherlike affection to his daughter, I am sure Isabel gave Eleanor sincere affection and made her live happily, although I finally knew that I had hurt my daughter, who at any moment was unforgivable."

Ariadna looked into Aaron's eyes, and turned to Aurora, the Queen who still had her son. "Aurora, is there anything you want to tell your daughter?"

Aurora looked at Ariadna, the tears she had been holding back, now flowing with a rush. "I realized, I might not be worthy of being a mother, for having abandoned my daughter," Aurora looked helpless. Elrick hugged his mother's shoulder, trying to appease the Queen. "The first time I held her, I was grateful that my daughter was blessed by the Powerful One, but I had to be willing to let her go so she could stay alive" Aurora clasped Elrick's hand firmly. "I survived all this time by observing Eleanor's brightly lit stone of life, even though I was tormented for not being next to her, at least I knew she was alive."

"For a long time I searched and prepared myself to meet him, but when I met him, I was helpless. I couldn't even tell the truth, I didn't even feel worthy to embrace it, and I didn't even feel like I could protect his life. I let her almost die, I let her sacrifice unknowingly," Aurora cried with a stingy breath, her roaring cry heart-wrenching.

Ariadna now looked at Elrick, "in the beginning I was very angry because your grandmother and parents preferred you who were not born with a red aura, compared to your twin sister. But Eleanor once said that the first time she saw you, she was sure that you would be a great leader."

Elrick was now looking at Ariadna, his heart shaking violently. "Can I see him?"

His Ariad smiled bitterly, "you've been with him for a short time, remember you'll be a girl named Ara?"

Elrick's heart was pounding, the memory of Ara filling his mind. "Is Ara Eleanor?"

"True, he came only to give up his aura to you, because he was sure that his parents' choice was right," Ariadna looked straight at Elrick's pair of eyes.

Elrick let go of his mother's embrace, and began to walk toward the wusteria, which closed the view like a curtain. "Eleanor, where are you?"

Elrick stepped past Ariadna, Alardo and the unmoving Blevine blocking him, as if they had given Elrick permission.

Elrick's heart was torn apart, "Eleanor are you behind this?" Elrick continued walking until he pulled the curtain of wisteria. "What's this?" Elrick fell down, his feet feeling helpless looking at the wet mound of earth filled with flowers. His gaze began to be blocked by the rushing tears.

"NO! ELEANOR!!" Aurora ran towards the still-wet tomb, while Aaron and Suri Lilian's mother, looked deathly pale as if struck by lightning in broad daylight.

"Eleanor has returned," said Ariadna as she passed away leaving the garden of purple wisteria in the middle of the pearl lake that was full of bitter tears.
