The Trapped Princess

The Trapped Princess
9. Red Dragon

"Before he comes to prevent, I'll ask you first. Do you want to be my son's private affairs?" ask the King to Ara.

Ara was worried, she was silent and thought seriously. The incident that he had experienced, was clearly a very dangerous event and could threaten the safety of the successor, but why did it seem El could not cast magic like him? Is it true that El's body can't absorb the Queen's powers well?

Ara confidently bowed like a knight before the King, "i am Ara a disciple of General Arion swearing to be faithful beside His Highness Crown Prince Elrick, I promise to keep His Majesty safe despite the life at stake."

"I take your oath" the King took out a sword and placed it alternately on Ara's shoulders. A bright red glow formed a gigantic dragon out from the sword of the King, all eyes stunned.

The Red Dragon circled around Ara's body, and lifted her up to the sky, the dragon wrapped around Ara's body tightly, but not the pain that Ara felt, but rather a sense of comfort and warmth, even Ara felt her body extremely refreshed and energized.

"Your Majesty, what happened?" asked Arion who seemed to be coming in a hurry.

The King smiled without taking his eyes off the sky, "it seems that you chose a very great disciple, so that my dragon is very dear to him."

Arion followed the King's line of sight and he looked surprised instead of playing, "did Your Majesty ask him to give you a knight's oath?"

"Yes, I asked him to be Elrick's bodyguard."

"Isn't His Majesty supposed to discuss with the servant first?" Arion said in a high tone to make the King look at him. "You will surely regret what you have done today" Arion said with eyes that appeared to be burning with fire.

"Are you angry that I asked your student without permission?" the King asked his best friend, but Arion just silently looked up at the sky where the red dragon seemed to wrap around Ara's body.

"I'm sorry General's father, I just want to protect me." Elrick seemed to be trying to mediate between the two, "if the General was not willing, then I could revoke his vow."

Arion was still staring at Ara who now seemed to be riding on a red dragon that seemed to fly down towards them.

"Your father can take out his vow whenever he wants, but she will never do it" Arion said in a slightly trembling voice.

The Red Dragon landed gently and let Ara down from her back slowly. Ara looked happy with a smile expanding on her lips, she approached the dragon's head and stroked it gently. "Thank you for giving me such a precious experience, you made me see a dragon that's only been in fairy tales! You even let me ride on your back, when I was so heavy! Oh thank you very much," Ara hugged the head of the red dragon tightly.

"Ara, come here!"

Ara stared at the origin of the voice and found Arion who looked to put on a serious face. His body trembled slightly as Arion's aura looked intimidating, but inevitably Ara had to come closer to him.

"Teacher," said Ara while bowing in salute to Arion.

"Do you know exactly what you just did?" asked Arion with a big voice.

Ara's hair felt standing up, Ara shuddered in horror. "Am I not to ride and embrace the King's red dragon? If that's the case, I'm sorry teacher, I really don't know."

"Hahaha, you are indeed the first person who can touch her other than my family. Usually he doesn't want to be touched by someone who doesn't have a blood relationship with me." The king seemed to laugh out loud, "what is your secret so as to make my dragon fall in love like that? Look he didn't even go back in my sword! Haha..."

"Ehm!"

Arion cleared his throat loudly and instantly stopped the King's laughter.

"But why should I take my oath?" asked Ara confused.

"ARA!" Arion now appears to be yelling at Ara, "do you know what a knight's oath is?"

"Of course, teacher, that means I must not deny the oath I have made, or my life can be lost" Ara replied briefly. "My teacher knows exactly what I'm saying, and I will not take away my vows. I know that I may die while doing my duty, but wouldn't it be better to die while protecting the precious Crown Prince? Teacher, please allow me to be next to Your Majesty," Ara rested before Arion.

"Grpfr......Grrrr.." The red dragon who had been silent, was now suddenly shedding tears, as if he knew what was on Ara's mind.

"Are you sure you won't regret it?" asked Arion again, now in a softer voice.

"Yes Master, I will never regret it."

Arion's right hand stretched out to touch the head of Ara who was struggling, "you're my only disciple, so do your best."

"Thank you Master" said Ara as she stood up.

"Thank you son, I'll entrust Elrick to you," the King patted Ara's shoulder softly. "But can I ask you for your help again?"

Arion immediately glanced sharply at the King, "What do you want to ask again?"

"Why are you looking at me like you want to kill me? I just want to ask your disciple to persuade him into the sword!"

"What's wrong, let me." Elrick walked towards the red dragon who was still shedding his tears, then gently stroked the dragon's head. "Why are you crying?"

"He's crying?" arion and the King asked simultaneously, while Ara and Alardo were surprised to hear the question of the two.

Alardo who had been silent, now seemed to approach Ara, "the red dragon's tears can turn into rare crystals that are very expensive, because the red dragon is not easy to cry."

Direction listened to Al whisper in his ear while nodding in understanding. "What makes him cry?"

Unknowingly Ara ran to hug the dragon, she stood side by side with Elrick who was still trying to calm the red dragon.

"I don't know what makes you cry, but I hope you stop crying and be as happy as ever. Because someone told me your tears are precious, please calm down."

Ara took off her embrace and peeked at the dragon's cheek, Elrick smiled at Ara's behavior, inexplicably Elrick found that Ara's behavior was cute and adorable, perhaps the dragon thought the same because he was now wrapping his body towards Ara and Elrick, looking like he was hugging both of them.

"Is it possible,"

Arion waited for the King to continue his words, there was a glimmer of light in Arion's heart, his heart full of hope so that his best friend could recognize Ara who was now growing up.

"Is it possible that Ara is Elrick's soul mate?"

Arion immediately glanced at his best friend, "you've gone too far!"
