Until one twilight in 2000 John met Jodie, "What's up? Why are you confused so?" jodie looked at her little friend.
Jodie felt that John wanted to say something to her even though John had been repeatedly pacing in front of her. Jodie frowned.
"John, what do you want to say? What's bothering you?" tanya Jodie put the newspaper on the table under a shady apple tree in front of Myra's house.
"Um, you don't want to get married again, Jo!" john asks, he always calls "Jo" if it's just the two of them.
"Hm, no! My love is dead with Miranda ..," said Jodie, she tried to be close to other women. In fact, Myra had already betrothed Jodie to many women.
However, none of them managed to shake his soul and heart like Miranda. Jodie looked at John, she understood what John was trying to say.
"You want to marry Lalita? Marry me!" jodie smiled, "i'm happy if you do all that, John!" jodie is proud.
Jodie smiled and looked at her best friend who was also staring at her, John sitting on the bench right in front of Jodie.
"Yes, you know! Lalita is 3 months pregnant! I think I have enough savings for our son's future" said John, he felt it was time to get married.
Moreover, he saw that if Jodie was no longer interested in power to return to be the head of the mafia, John saw that Jodie was more focused on helping people volunteer.
"John, don't worry! Your son is my son too, I will help raise him. The cost of your child. Don't you think!" jodie replies, she remembers a child she could never see and embrace.
"Thank you, Jo! Um, tomorrow I want to marry Lalita. Whaddya think? I spoke to Myra, ", he said.
"I support you! Do you want to use the wedding ring I want to give Miranda, John?" jodie asked, feeling she would never use any of it again.
"No need! Keep it, Jo. Who knows when you might need it" said John, he felt sure for it if one day Jodie would find a replacement for Miranda.
Jodie was silent, she was not sure of it but, she was not forced. Jodie just smiled embracing her best friend.
"Goodbye to John's new life. I thought you and Lalita would never get married but, thank God! In the end you are married! I'm happy for all your happiness and Lalita's, '" said Jodie, smiling proudly.
"Thank you, Jo!" john says, both of them embrace.
Next morning ….
The wedding of Lalita Banderas and Johny Campbell was held at a small church in the corner of Denver. All the neighboring neighbors and people who had been helped by Myra and Lalita witnessed the sacred marriage.
John looks handsome in his white dress as well as Lalita, who asks Mr. Parker as his godfather to deliver him to the altar.
Jodie as the groom's companion was so happy to witness the couple's happiness, she and Myra welcomed all the family. Myra introduces Jodie as her adopted son.
In the midst of the solemn event, which was filled with happiness everyone was grateful when the blessing of the couple's marriage had occurred.
Moreover, when John kissed Lalita in front of everyone. Clapping and whistling echoed, the bride and groom were so timidly happy.
Jodie smiled remembering Miranda, Miranda's shadow back dancing in the eye crackers. Jodie could only sigh.
"Miranda ... My love ... is lost," Jodie's mind is bitter.
But happiness never lasts long, and vice versa. Jodie, Myra, and Lalita don't think that's the last time they'll see John and everyone they care about on the corner of a small Denver street.
Brak!
The door of the Church was blown away by someone's kick. Everyone was surprised to turn to the church door, seeing a group of people wearing masks carrying long weapons immediately burst in.
"Hey! This is God's house! What do you guys want?" shouted Mr. Parker.
Dor's!
"George!" madam Parker shouted running towards Parker.
Dor's!
Mrs Parker fell in her arms and died.
"Who are y'all? What are you guys doing here?" pastor Joseph asked, he was trying to defend the Church.
All the children and women huddled around hugging their children, terrified by what they saw.
"Stop, guys! What are you guys doing?" shouted the Reverend Joseph.
Dor's!
The masked man shot pastor Joseph in the leg, "Aaa!" Pastor Joseph fell down.
"Fuck! Who're you!" jodie shouted, she did not understand what they wanted.
Jodie begins to realize that if it all has to do with her and John, she will not be silent anymore. He thought there was one of the Church's people they were looking for. While living in a corner of Denver, no one knows about their past except Myra and Lalita.
So John and Jodie feel they have no enemies and they never come into contact with anyone.
"Fuck! Are all these people my returning enemies?" jodie began to realize many things.
"Hahaha, I don't think that the people who have been helping the poor are the group of Jodie Nostra and Johnny Campbell.
"Well! Well! I hope this happiness will be eternal! Ahaha! Hm, but, what a pity! Today you all must die!" said the man in front who was wearing a mask.
"Who are you?" hardik Jodie, "shit! I didn't bring a gun!" jodie's insider, for the first time he parted with his gun and misfortune was in sight.
"Hahaha, Jodie Nostra and John Campbell! I didn't manage to kill you 9 years ago, now is the time for you to die!" hardik someone.
"If you only want me! Come on, let's get out! Let everyone who is here be free. Who the hell are you? Come on!" take Jodie, he gets more anxious with the number of masked men carrying guns.
Jodie sees the children and the women are already terrified at the corner of the wall hoping the wall is able to swallow their bodies to save them all.
"What should I do?" jodie's mind was anxious, she felt that an accident would occur.
Jodie was still thinking and looking for a loophole to snatch a weapon from one of the enemies. Jodie began to move towards her enemy.
Dor's! Dor's!
"Joe!" john shouted, he ran towards Jodie.
The masked man immediately shot towards Jodie but, John had pushed and hugged Jodie until a barrage of gunfire landed on John's back.
"Johnny!" lalita shouted, she wanted to chase after her husband but she realized something.
"I need to get help!" lalita's mind trembled falling to its knees.
John fell into the arms of Jodie, who hugged him with blood, "John ..," said Jodie, feeling that his world was dark at once.
"John!" jodie's birthday, he did not expect friends as a child for 25 years always together now killed in his arms.
The blood has soaked John's white bridal outfit and Jodie's. John is willing to be a shield for Jodie until the end of his life.
"You have to live, Jo! Please, take care of my wife and son, Jo!" john said before exhaling and smiling.
