The Undying Past
PART 17 ~ NOT JUST MEET
The meeting of two friends who have been separated for a long time they celebrated in an unusual way. Wandering around the city while sharing a story after leaving his gray white uniform. Apparently David has also been trying to find Najib who disappeared somewhere.
"Where have you been incubating for seven years ? Finishing your finishing party and Aleya instantly disappeared, I think you eloped, "David just took a quick glance and refocused on the highway.

"Papa sent me to Ausy and back a year ago, it was time for you to enjoy your old age" David answered Najib's question as he was.
"And you ? How have you been all this time ?" David continued to ask with great curiosity.
"Just like you, grandfather sent me out of the country to continue my education with anger and resentment towards Aleya who suddenly disappeared. After coming back for a while a reality made me hate Aleya even more. But it turned out that I was wrong to take revenge on the woman, "Najib glared out the window. David stopped his car in front of a famous restaurant in the city. A favorite place of the upper class that likes a calm and peaceful atmosphere.
Both then entered the restaurant and David also ordered some menus that became the best restaurant menu. Najib and David then sat by the door that connected directly to the green grass that cooled every eye that looked at him. Finally David stopped his car in a city park that had begun to be crowded by city residents who wanted to enjoy the twilight.The two handsome men then mingled after they got out of the car. Enjoying the twilight in the corner of the city turned out to be a very beautiful sight. It felt peaceful and serene to make Najib momentarily forget his problem.
Najib stared at the orange sky with sparkling eyes until Aleya and Celya's shadows flashed and smiled at him making the young man so shocked.
"What's up ?!" David was shocked to see suddenly his best friend like that.
Just a heavy breath and a head bobble as the answer. David did not want to force his best friend. The man knew his best friend would tell him after his condition improved.
"Suddenly the shadow of Aleya and her daughter flashed above" Najib did not turn his gaze to the orange sky.
"Maybe your guilt and remorse are too deep or your daughter really misses her papa," David also stared at the increasingly orange sky indicating the sunset will soon occur.
"But my daughter already thinks I'm dead."Najib breathed in a rough fit of frustration from his breathing .
"Your job is to convince your daughter and recapture her heart especially her mother's heart" David now looks at his best friend with a concerned face. He could really feel what his best friend was feeling. David couldn't imagine being in Najib's position.
"I'm not sure I can have Aleya's heart. If only you had seen his expression when you saw me then you would have agreed with me, "Najib's eyes are now glazed over. Not because he wanted to be pitied, but it was all pure from his heart.
How all this time his soul and body was shrouded in anger and resentment towards Aleya. So that when meeting without thinking long always torment Aleya by giving a lot of work and unreasonable. And now that resentment and anger is impossible to change with prolonged regret.
Somehow Najib had to turn things around and be able to get back with Aleya as they used to when they were still lovers.
"Don't give up quickly, do everything you can. With your hard work one day Aleya's heart will be moved. All that's going on between you is a misunderstanding about someone who's irresponsible." David cheered on his best friend who looked very pitiful.
Najib was silent trying to digest the word for word spoken by a friend he had just met. His gaze now sharpened even more through the sky which began to darken the sign of the night had greeted. Najib's hopes of being with Aleya were very small. The Aleya he met a few months ago was very different from the one he used to know even Aleya's gaze was too flat and expressionless as she looked at him as if they didn't know each other.
