The Uniregular Sport School 1
Chapter 9: Math Lessons

How should I act?

Maybe it would be better if I did some stupid and lame things until they believed that I was that kind of person.

Learning begins as usual, the material taught by Mr. Smith is mathematics. He had already explained at length about the opportunity material, but it seemed that many students still did not understand.

While this is a sport-specific school, it's still lessons like maths and those required for next Sunday's exam.

Mr. Smith started drawing some cards on the board while writing down questions that would probably be questions to be answered.

"Please one person come forward and work on this front!"

With no answer, the students took their eyes off Mr. Smith and some of them pretended to be busy in order not to be chosen by him.

"Satomi, you should be able to answer that, right?"

"I think the answer is 1/26."

"It's great that you know right away!"

"This ordinary question is nothing."

The brief conversation between me and Elaina seemed to catch the eye of Mr. Smith and before long he immediately looked at me.

"Satomi Adney, do it now!"

"Hmm. I can't answer that."

"Just do it!"

"Good."

Of course I expected this to happen, so I will answer it wrongly.

I walked to the front of the class and took a marker and played around for a while with him. The gazes of the students I could feel clearly, but I did not care and continued to pretend to think even though I already knew the answer.

"Why are you confused? It's still easy and the kind of opportunity itself there's still a lot."

"Sorry, give me some time to think."

"Five minutes!"

"Good."

Five minutes to answer about this starting-level opportunity I think it's still too much. Essentially, odds are the magnitude of the probability or likelihood of an event occurring. There are still many levels to that possibility and what Mr. Smith is teaching now is still very easy to understand.

I looked at the blackboard once more and thought that the picture Mr. Smith drew was very bad, so I just focused on the writing because the point of finding the answer was there.

From a bridge card, a red card number 10 will be drawn. Determine the chances of getting a red card number 10!

If it's about bridge cards, then I need to solve some things first.

A bridge card consists of 52 cards. That is, the number of sample space of the experiment is 52, so the formula is n(S) \= 52.

A red card number 10 indicates 2, so the formula is n(A) \= 2.

What is asked is the chance of getting a red card, so it is written with P(A)

Meaning the right formula is...

P(A) \= n(A)/n(S)

Based on the classical probability theory, it is obtained:

P(A) \= n(A)/n(S)

\= 2/52

\= 1/26

So, the chances of getting a red card number 10 is 1⁄26.

It was the right answer to his question, but I would answer it wrongly for me to be considered a fool by them.

I started pulling markers and writing numbers on the board. That number is 100. Briefly, there are two 10s in there, so they'll assume I'm multiplying those two numbers.

"How about Mr. Smith, is it true?"

"God. Don't piss me off!"

"Then why did you tell me?"

"Stay there until someone can answer it correctly!"

Without telling me why, he kept telling me to stand in front of the class until someone could answer him correctly.

"Sir Smith, may I answer it?"

Lina raised her hand and offered to answer him, I think she will answer him correctly.

"Yes, Lina. Please!"

"The answer is 1/26."

The entire class immediately clapped after being ordered and the sound of clapping was heard loudly. The face of Mr. Smith who was upset now turned into a thin smile after Lina managed to answer the question given by him.

"Because my answer is correct, please let Satomi go!"

"All right, now you can sit down. Next time pay attention to my explanation well!"

"I understand, I'm sorry."

Walking leisurely to her original seat, I saw Elaina's face which I could not guess her expression. I was a little confused as to whether he felt scared, sad, or angry. But after seeing the frown on Elaina's forehead, it seemed like she felt angry.

"Today's lesson I'm enough here and you can go home after. Thank you!"

"Good!"

Mr. Smith ended the lesson with a cold look and left the class.

I was a little relieved that I had at least managed to deceive Mr. Smith and some of the students in the class.

"Well, Lina, you're so great!"

"I don't even understand what's being explained, a mathematical genius is indeed great!"

"Compared in reverse to it, 100. What the fuck?"

"She only looked at the number 10 and then shifted both."

"You're so good at just getting him to stand up for a little while."

Lina was flooded with praise and admiration of her classmates for her correct answer, she at once became the savior of the class for them.

Without giving it any more attention, I left class and intended to relax first in the grass of the park. Looks like Elaina will follow me too.

"You didn't go straight home?"

"Yes, I still want to be with you."

"Is that so?"

"Woh, it turns out that this grass is comfortable too!"

Elaina was lying on the grass, although she would usually just sit next to me.

"That's how it is, like on a golf course."

"Satomi, actually. I have something to talk about."

"What's that?"

"Why are you holding back?"

"Didn't I tell you?"

"Not that, after seeing you who can get along with a terrible teacher. I think you look sorry."

What Elaina said might be half right, but I actually just felt tired from not sleeping well these few days.

If you count, I slept for three days for only 11 hours. Which time is very less for teenagers and can have an impact on health.

"I can't regret what happened, if I'm honest I just feel tired and sleepy."

"You can't sleep?"

"Not really, only my sleep is lacking."

"Then what if you sleep now?"

"You mean here? Yes, this place does calm me down. But still I won't be able to fall asleep if I'm out in the open."

I don't understand what Elaina said, I'm sure she'll do something unexpected.

"You're wrong, I want to offer. my thighs. as a pillow."

It turns out to be true.

"Sorry Elaina, I don't want to trouble you. Aren't you going to feel uncomfortable? I'll go home and go straight to bed."

"I don't mind if it's Satomi, what if it's just for a while? I'll wake you when it's almost night."

Elaina was getting carried away, I was sure that if I rejected her then she would be sad, maybe she also looked angry because she couldn't help me back in class and offered her own thighs instead.

I don't think it would hurt if I followed her wishes, after all the state of the park was already quiet because many students decided to rest in their own rooms that felt more comfortable.

"Well, I'll use your thighs as a pillow. If it feels heavy and achy, you can wake me up."

"Please, sorry if my thighs are too small."

"Yes, excuse me, then."

I immediately raised my head and placed it on Elaina's thigh. It feels very soft and chewy, even exceeding the comfort of this garden grass.

I closed my eyes for a moment and before long, I felt nothing more.
