Chapter 4: The Satomi Couple

Am I apathetic?

Elaina's question is very representative of my current self which is very selfish and always does not care about others. If asked like that, the answer is yes.

"After harassing me, you can heartily leave me?"

"I didn't harass you."

"I'm kidding, don't look at me seriously. Satomi, are you Japanese too?"

"Maybe yes and maybe not."

"The strange answer. What you did before was the way most Japanese teenagers approach their loved ones, Kabedon."

"Elaina, why are you following me? Are you hungry and want to have lunch? I'm sorry, but I can only pay for myself."

As I had expected, Elaina kept walking with me until she reached the front of the middle-class restaurant that served more fast-food menus.

"I'm hungry too, and you have no right to forbid me from eating here."

"I know that."

"Then why did you forbid me?"

"Don't misunderstand me and eat anywhere, I won't forbid you. And I happen to want to talk to you about something too."

"Seriously? Did you accept my love?"

"No, it's not that. First we'll go in and order something inside."

"You are weird!"

Without caring about Elaina, I immediately opened the door of the restaurant and looked for a place in the back so as not to attract the attention of many people.

Since it was lunchtime now, the people who were here were already countless. I wish I could get it.

"Satomi, they're scary!"

"Nothing to be afraid of."

"Are you going to protect me?"

"I didn't say it like that."

"You have to do it!"

After searching long enough for a place in the back, I finally got it and without a second thought I immediately sat there, then followed by Elaina who sat next to me.

"The seat in front of me is empty, you have to fill it."

"No, I want to be here."

"Is that so? Let me fill it."

"Wait on! Can't we just sit next to each other like this?"

"All right, it's up to you."

"Huhu.thank you Satomi, I'm so happy."

So this is the aggressive action that Elaina meant, she stuck her body to me so I could feel her temperature. Plus I smelled the sweet scent of her long silver hair.

I don't mind and don't care about his actions, but I'm still wondering why he could be so quickly attracted to me.

"Sorry to disturb your affection, can you name the order?"

As Elaina continued to act aggressively, a restaurant waiter came and asked for our order.

"No problem, please make one spaghetti and iced lemon water!"

"I'm the same as you!"

There was no particular reason for me to order spaghetti, after all this hot afternoon atmosphere was more appropriate if I drank something cold and refreshing, lemon ice.

As for Elaina, she ordered the same food and drinks as me.

"So Satomi, what do you want to talk about?"

"Before I get to the point, I'll tell you about myself first."

"You want to make me give up? I'm sorry, but it's too early for me to give up!"

"I didn't say it like that, but what you said is probably half right."

"A freak and a cold like you. I can't guess what you're going to do next, and also I feel like you're a very calm person in any situation."

"My intuition was pretty strong and when I saw you in class doing introductions, I became convinced that you were different from most of the other students."

"Sorry wait a long time, please enjoy the order!"

After a few minutes of endless talking, the waiter came to serve two spaghetti and lemon ice, and he put them on the table where we were going to eat.

"Thank you very much!"

I immediately picked up the chopsticks located on the plate and judged about the texture of the spaghetti smeared with red sauce, it looks like this is tomato sauce.

Spaghetti is shaped long, thin, cylindrical, and solid, which if considered does resemble noodles in general. It is a staple in traditional Italian cuisine worldwide.

"You're not eating?"

"I can't use chopsticks. Suap me, Satomi!"

"Then use the fork here."

Elaina just watched me eat and she didn't move her hand at all. Then I told him to use a fork because he couldn't use chopsticks.

"Bring me, Satomi!"

"Is your hand in trouble?"

"Not really, I just want to be fed by you."

I didn't care about Elaina, so I immediately devoured the spaghetti that I seemed like I was going to spend in less than 10 minutes.

"You're even ignoring me!"

In the end Elaina ate with a fork, it seemed like she could not use chopsticks.

"That's what I want to tell you, about my own nature."

"Just tell me, I'm really curious about you anyway. Like the things you love and hate, I want to know!"

"Hm.. Since I had a long time ago of unclear origin, even my parents I'm not sure if I have one."

"What the fuck?"

"As most people have told me before, I am indeed a freak and I cannot deny it. I'm used to being selfish and not caring about others."

"Who took care of you first?"

"Now I'm gonna ask you. Elaina, don't you mind my nature and attitude?"

This conversation will enter the final round. If Elaina doesn't mind, then I will continue. But if Elaina objected, then I would stop her conversation and head straight out of the restaurant without caring about it anymore.

"After hearing your story, I thought I wanted to be with you always. Yeah, I don't mind what you're gonna do!"

What a great sincerity, I could feel his very serious gaze and it made me sure that he would not betray me so easily. Elaina was honest about everything she said and I knew it.

"Then, Elaina. Be my partner in the exam this time!"

Elaina's expression looked very happy after I invited her to be my partner. Though I have ignored her several times, but Elaina remains sincere and wants to be with me.

"I'm not dreaming, am I? Are you finally fascinated by my beauty?"

"What do you mean?"

"Between me and Lina, who do you think is prettier?"

"I don't care about someone's beauty, after all I'll ignore you if you're useless."

"Just calm down, you can continue to rely on me. Then why did you suddenly volunteered to pair with me?"

"All because of my guilt, I think I'd be too outrageous to continue to allow the sincerity you give."

"Satomi, I'm so happy about this. But what about Lina, doesn't she also want to be your partner?"

So Elaina also found out, I think the situation now will be very troublesome.

Fear and anxiety surfaced within Elaina, she also looked confused.

Elaina ignored the food and grabbed my arm quite firmly. Now I also get confused and the dilemma between the two choices is one-sided.

If I choose Lina, then everything will be fine because most men accept the fact that Lina is interested in me.

But a troublesome life will happen if I choose Elaina. Perhaps in the worst possible case, Elaina and I will continue to be oppressed until they are satisfied with their frustration.

Actually if that bad possibility happens, I can still handle it. But I don't want to be flashy to be feared by them because of my ability.

From what I saw, most of the men in E class had no muscles at all and could only mentally clash while fighting, so I would easily fight them.

It all comes back to me who wants to enjoy a quiet and relaxed life. I guess I have to deal with it slowly and pretend to be a weak person.

My choice remains one in this exam, pairing with Elaina. With all kinds of obstacles, I will make them vent all their frustration on me. Then slowly but surely Elaina will be spared from the bullying that will happen.

Although troublesome, everything is becoming very interesting now.

"Eh.. Satomi, what's wrong?!"

"Just calm down, I'll stick with you. I'll deal with them slowly."

I immediately hugged Elaina and calmed her down until I could feel her body temperature again.

So this is how a girl smells, it feels like my mind calms down when I kiss her. Then somehow my heart feels faster when it feels it.

"Satomi, I love you!"

"I'm sorry, but I still can't return your feelings."

"I know and I'm gonna keep saying it until you get back at my feelings."

"Good luck and please cooperate for some things ahead!"

"Satomi, I'm the one now. Feeling very happy, even I think I should wake up soon from this beautiful dream."

"It's reality and you don't have to get up again, just face it!"

Elaina and I continued to hug for a long time, ignoring the situation until we finally decided to get out of this restaurant after paying for the food we ordered.

My and Elaina's goal is now the same, which is to come to the teacher's office to enrol us as a couple.
