The Wander Caravan

The Wander Caravan
Heading to goa gun

Chapter 64

After Joe looks at the map and learns the route they made before going into the jungle Joe decides to continue the journey to the gun cave. Joe took this decision with various considerations that the distance to get out of the forest takes longer than to goa gun.

Today many of them are injured, therefore the time taken will be longer than when they came because some of them had to help the injured. On the way they may encounter greater danger. Especially if all the animals are aware and start looking for prey then they will not be able to deal with it by bringing the injured person.

This would only be fatal to all of them. As for the cave the weapons were closer though they had to help get the injured person a shorter distance than the distance to get out of the forest. Arriving at the weapon cave they can find a place to rest as well as to recuperate.

There was also the possibility that the humans standing guard there had mutated into zombies. But with the four of them plus David these zombies they could still overcome compared to the mutated beasts. Unless their fate is very unlucky that in the middle of the journey to goa they are reunited with mutated animals then they must bet on life and death.

Both of these options are equally risky but the possibility of living is greater if they go to the gun cave. And Joe had to make a decision where the risks were small and the ratio for them survived big. Therefore Joe bet to goa gun.

Joe also thought once they got to the gun cave it was likely they would stay longer in the cave. To treat the wounded and restore their strength. Thinking of this Joe worries about their food reserves. Joe knows Leana has a lot of food stash but doesn't know how long it can last.

And also Joe does not know if Leana has drugs because if Leana does not have the necessary drugs then the possibility of the injured person could have died because it is not treated. Thinking of this Joe immediately asked David about the matter because if Leana didn't have the drugs they would have to risk breaking out of the forest.

"Uncle David, I want to discuss something with uncle before making a decision on the situation we're in now" Joe told David to secure the supplies.

"What are you talking about?" David who was asked by Joe also became confused because he was suddenly invited to discuss.

"I've learned the route to be taken by us. The shortest and safer route is to go to the gun cave. There's just a little problem that if we go to the gun cave we might stay for the next few days to treat the wounded and to rest. I don't know if brother-in-law has enough food supplies for all of us for the next few days? Then does sister-in-law also have the medicines we need? Because if there's no cure we have to risk breaking out of the forest so that the injured can be treated immediately but this is very risky."

David who heard Joe's explanation also immediately thought about the conditions they were facing at this time. And feel what is said by Joe is true the risk to goa gun is indeed smaller. They're halfway through anyway. Many of them are injured if they do not get their weapons then everything they do will be in vain.

If there was no space they could only break out of the forest and this was tantamount to looking for death. "You don't have to worry about this matter because Leana's storage space is very large and also complete. Food and drinks are also not lacking. Therefore we go to the gun cave." David told Joe to calm him down.

"Would it last for a week more? Because it might take us a while to get out because we might be trapped by a mutated animal when it comes out later. Because at that time all the animals must have been aware of all. Our risk will increase so it's likely that we'll need more supplies and medicine." Joe returned to make sure the supplies they needed were sufficient.

"No problem with our supplies. I'm just thinking about the risks when we'll be out. Whether we can deal with his mutated beast and also as long as we treat the injured there is also the possibility of us being attacked, this is what worries me. Because the one of us who has the strongest attack power is Alex but now he's still unconscious." David told Joe about his concerns.

"According to the cave, we'll set up landmines to prevent the animals from approaching. And also we will make some traps to be safer. So uncle need not worry. Since uncle says no problem with supplies then we should not delay going to the gun cave." After making sure there were no problems with supplies, Joe wanted to quickly go to his gun cave. So that everyone can rest and also to treat the injured.

After everyone heard it they immediately rushed to meet the others. Moreover David he wants to see his father who is seriously injured.

...*****...

After a while Joe's people get to where Leana's resting. David immediately rushed to see his father and mother. As soon as David got in front of his mother he saw both his parents sleeping again.

David saw the faces of his parents were a bit pale but he didn't see any injuries at all. Seeing this David thought whether the information provided by Top was wrong? But that's not possible because Top isn't the one who'll give you the information he doesn't have.

But how could his father not have any wounds on his body? Then David looked around and he didn't see his wife and Lusy. Where'd his wife go? Were the seriously injured were his wife and sister-in-law? Then they didn't get saved so he didn't see his wife and sister-in-law?

Thinking his wife and sister-in-law had died David's face instantly turned pale. David who thinks he has lost his wife does not notice the arrival of his daughter.
