The Young King's Great Ambition

The Young King's Great Ambition
Chapter 4: Waiting

Everything had been done as planned, and all of his subordinates were preoccupied with the mission that Fermund had given, plus they had to do the main work.

Every effort has been made to keep things running smoothly, but what the final touches will be planned, is still in the early stages, and is not yet certain of its success.

Fermund and his underworld played with fire by making risky silent movements.

He bets everything for the success he wants, he still has a lot of tricks that he has not issued, and also a backup plan if he fails.

This time Fermund just kept silent, he sat down to relax while reading a book in the garden chair, he spent time not without reason.

He waited for the appointed time to begin, before that, the mission he gave to the gloomy man Andreis, must succeed first.

Fermund, who had been sitting on a park bench reading a book while drinking tea, felt the cool spring breeze, he felt the calmness.

The sound of the horse walking at once neighing the horse broke the silence and disturbed his calm, there was a horse carriage entering his mansi.

What was inside the horse carriage was more disturbing, something that was a mixture of sights and unpleasant noise.

Fermund stood up, he closed his book and greeted the man.

A thin, white-haired man, coming down from the carriage, he smiled at Fermund, but it was not a beautiful smile.

"Hello my cousin Colford, you haven't been here in a long time, what business are you here for, what's that all about?"

Fermund greeted him warmly, but in his heart he wanted to finish him off with a knife hidden behind his hip.

"I just want to ask for the wine you're producing, because it's so good, I've prepared the money" Colford said

"Then why did you come here, wouldn't you be able to buy it at the manufacturing site" Fermund said

Instantly Fermund fell silent, tension spread between the two people.

"Then we have to change the place of conversation, if you think this conversation is private" Fermund said

Fermund led Colford to the living room of the mansion on the first floor, brother Fermund called the waiter to serve tea and snacks.

They both sat on the sofa facing forward, Hermund stared intently at Colford"Now, what do you want to talk about, my cousin"

Instantly Colford's fearful serious face was clearly displayed, he began to utter a few words

"Fermund, I'm going to the great temple south of the capital for a blessing, and my time to inherit the throne is near, are you not going to do anything to me later," colbert said in a soft tone and a horrible face that was brought close to Fermund's face

bluntly without secrecy told Fermund that, now Fermund was silent and bowed, and he looked at his cousin, and he let out a long sigh

"I won't bother you, but instead it's you who keeps bothering me, I don't have a problem with that, I'm serious about this" Fermund said with a smiling face

As they clashed, unaware that an owl had perched on the window carrying a letter in its beak, Hermund went straight to his speed, approached the owl and took his letter, Hermund turned to Colford to read his letter.

"Anger cloud during the day is a strange thing" said Colford, who was still sitting and looking at the owl

Fermund read the letter quickly, he chuckled so that his cousin could hear it

"Why laugh there, don't scare me!" said Colbert who was shocked as well as creeped out hearing Fermund's little laugh

Fermund immediately tore the letter apart and threw it out the window, causing it to tear the paper

"Sorry if I scare you, I just got some good news"
