"it's all done." said the man who walked up to Wanda while helping her open the large sack.
His dark face began to shine through the moonlight coming from the window.
"hey, don't mess with your hands with this" Wanda said, preventing the man from helping her.
The man and Wanda pulled the large sack together tightly until the strap on top of it broke until it was thrown out.
"is this why you're avoiding me?" asked the man in a serious tone while looking at Wanda's face up close.
"what are you saying? you are still my brother Yalan." said Wanda as she looked towards Yalan who was on her left side.
The two of them daydreamed while looking at each other's faces accompanied by a gust of night wind and the sound of insects outside the hut.
"a...duh... Why is my head spinning?"
There was the sound of a woman's moaning from outside the hut. The daydream between the two was split apart while rushing out towards the source of the sound.
Cheng Nan was standing next to a woman sitting on the ground with half of her body in the sack.
"how are you, miss?" ask Wanda who approached him while crouching in front of him.
The woman's eyes opened wide staring at Wanda's face with her right index finger pointing right at Wanda's face.
"put your finger down" said Wanda who looked at him coldly.
The woman was one of the Tangjin pavilion workers the crown prince had met, Xiao Zhennai, a while ago.
"just get to the point, what's your relationship with the guy you met?" wanda asked as she turned the small knife on the ground near the woman sitting down.
"answer honestly or.." the rapidly spinning knife stopped right in front of the woman's hand supporting her body at a distance of one cm, "you understand?"
"i, I understand." said the woman with a quick nod.
Cheng Nan was speechless at the way Wanda was doing while looking at Yalan opposite her, a faint smile appeared on Yalan's lips that left her stunned for a moment.
"is he still my master?" his inner.
The next day…
After finishing all the affairs at hand, Aqira and Jeni return to the capital separately with Jeni bringing Jing Nan home to her residence, and Aqira begins her duty to the clinic.
"strange, why so quiet?" batin Aqira who looked around the clinic looked quiet.
Shortly after that silence, a girl came to the clinic for treatment.
"miss, reduce the excessive consumption of sugar." Aqira suggested to the girl while writing down a prescription drug.
"thank you physician Chu." said the girl in response.
"yeah, can I ask you something?" connect Aqira while giving the prescription of the medicine she has written.
"let's just say, I will answer you as best I can." said the girl.
"why is the city so deserted? is there something?" tanya Aqira stood up from her seat while driving the girl to the door.
"doesn't the lady know? the crown prince's concubine will be executed today, and all the citizens come to see her." replied the girl.
"it turns out so, thanks for the information" Aqira said, stopping at the door.
"alright, then I'll see you later" said the girl who stepped out of the ChuLin clinic.
"the people present, here we will see the punishment for traitors of the state" said a man standing next to the shackle while provoking the residents.
"the law of traitors of the state! the law!"
The sound of cheers continued to be heard all the way to the emperor's palace. After half an hour of cheering, the crown prince and other state officials were present.
After his presence, the burly man who would execute the woman in the pasung was to be beheaded before the people who were there.
Just as the sharp sword was about to hit the woman's skin, someone threw rotten vegetables from the crowd towards the people near the execution site until there was chaos.
"protect the crown prince!" said the commander who became the provocateur ordered the soldiers to protect Xiao Zhennai from being hit by the throws.
Amidst this chaos, those who were busy protecting the crown prince did not realize the woman in the pasung was missing.
"greetings crown prince" said a soldier reporting at the southwest palace belonging to the crown prince.
"say!" it was Xiao Zhennai who stood his back to the soldier.
"we've searched every corner of the city, but found no trace of it" he said.
Xiao Zhennai, who was playing with a knife, threw the knife and stuck it exactly one cm in front of the soldier's foot.
"find out until you get it! if tomorrow can't find him, cut off all the soldiers who came looking for him" he said giving orders to the soldier.
"ba.ba, good noble." said the soldier immediately left the room.
"true enough, how could a heavily guarded fugitive just disappear." muttered Jing Nan who walked back to Jeni's residence.
After arriving there Jing Nan was fixated to see Wanda sweeping the yard filled with fallen leaves.
"need help?" he said he asked Wanda.
Wanda simply nodded to respond, and Jing Nan immediately helped her by digging a hole to bury the leaves.
Finished with that Jing Nan sat under a shady tree in the side yard, while Wanda went straight inside the house.
"sorry to trouble you" said Wanda who offered a cup of tea while sitting next to Jing Nan.
"thank you." said Jing Nan who received it.
The two of them enjoyed the cup of tea without any chatter. Soon, Jeni returns with Tian ai and her son with groceries.
"Yo... did you guys clean the page?" jeni said that mocked both.
Wanda stood up from her seat as she approached Jeni with her tea cup placed on Jing Nan.
"as much and as fast as this?" asked Wanda who was astonished to see Jeni and Tian ai who each carried two bags of groceries.
"huff..what's okay, the store owner sells it for cheap but the quality is good, so we think it's better to buy everything." replied Tian ai with the happy face of a woman after shopping.
"why could that be?" ask Wanda again while looking at Tian ai.
"don't know, he said they wanted to immediately close the shop to see something in front of the royal palace" replied Tian ai who gave a bag of groceries to Wanda.
"not something, but executing a traitor of the country." - timpal Jing Nan who joined the roar together.
"what?!" Tian ai became surprised when he heard the news even though it was only half.
