Anas bin Malik said:” One day Umar came out with his sword, and Bani Zahrah asked” O Umar, where are you going?,” then Umar replied, “ I want to kill Muhammad.” Next the man asked:” What about the peace that has been made between the Bani Hashim and the Bani Zuhrah, while you are about to kill Muhammad”. Then the man said,” No you know that your sister and your brother-in-law have left your religion”. Then Umar went to his sister's house when he saw his sister and brother-in-law reading the Quran, and Umar said, “maybe both of them had changed religion”,. So Umar jumped and stepped on him hard, then his brother (Fathimah bint Khaththab) came to push Umar, but Umar slapped him so hard that his sister's face was bleeding.
Then Umar said: “Give me the sheet (al-Quran), I want to read it”, then his sister said.” You are unclean should not touch it unless you are in a state of holiness, if you want to know then take a bath (whore/holy).”. Then Umar stood up and took a bath (holy) then read the sheet (al-Quran) that is the letter of Thaha until the verse, and then read,

Then Umar went to the place where Muhammad Shallallahu alaihi wassalam, in front of the door stood Hamzah, Thalhah and other companions. Then Hamzah said, ” if Allah wills good for him, he will convert to Islam, but if there is any other purpose we will kill him”. Then Umar declared his conversion to Islam before the Prophet Shallallahu ‘alaihi wassalam.
Then the glory of Islam and the Muslims increased with the entry of Umar bin Khaththab, as narrated by Imam Bukhari of Ibn Mas’ud, saying,” Our glory increased since the entry of Umar.”. Umar participated in the battle conducted with the Prophet, and remained in the battle of Uhud with the Prophet as described by Imam Suyuthi in “Date of al-Khulafa’ Rashidin”.
The Prophet gave him the title al-Faruq, as narrated by Ibn Sa’ad of Dzakwan, saying,” I have asked Aisha, “ Who called Umar by the name of al-Faruq?”, so Aisyah answered “Rasulullah”.
Hadith Imam Bukhari of Abu Hurairah, the Prophet said:” Verily there have been from the people before you the reformers, and if there is a reformer from my people surely ‘Marlah his people”. This hadith is set aside by the Judge. Likewise Imam Tirmidhi had narrated from Uqbah bin Amir that the Prophet said,” If there was a Prophet after me, surely Umar bin al-Khaththab his man.”.
”Surely Allah has transmitted the truth through the tongue and heart of Umar”. His son Umar (Abdullah) said, ” What my father (Umar) said about something then it happened like what my father predicted”.
