Anas bin Malik Radhiyallahu ‘anhu (died 93 H)
Anas bin Malik third from a friend who narrates many hadiths, He narrates as many as 2,286 hadiths.
Anas was a trusted (Khadam) servant of the Prophet, when he was 10 years old, his mother Umm Sulaiman brought him to the Prophet Shallallah alaihi wassalam to serve. His father was Malik bin an-Nadlr. The Prophet often joked with Anas ibn Malik, and the Prophet himself did not behave like a master to his servant.
Anas himself once said:” Allah's Apostle Shallallahu alaihi wasssalam never rebuked what I did, nor did he ever ask me about something I did not do, but he always said Masha’allahu wa ma lam yasya”.
Anas ibn Malik did not fight in the great battle of Badr, because he was very young. But he followed many other wars after that. When Abu Bakr asked Umar for his opinion on the appointment of Anas bin Malik to become an employee in Bahrain, Umar praised him :” He is a bright and readable young man, and also long time to hang out with Rasulullah”.
As for Abu Hurairah's Comment on it : “ I have never seen anyone else whose prayers resemble those of the Prophet except Ibn Sulayman (Anas bin Malik)”.
Ibn Sirin said:” He (Anas) best Prayers both at home and while on the way”.
On the last day of his life, Anas moved to Basrah, Some others said his move was due to the slander of Ibn al-Asy’ats which prompted Hajjaj to threaten him. So there was no other way for anas bin Malik to move to Basrah which made the only friend of the Prophet there.
That is why the scholars say that Anas bin Malik was the last friend who died in Basrah., on the death of Muwarriq said: “ Has lost half of knowledge. If anyone likes to reduce his pleasure when quarreling with us, we say to him, let him face the one who has heard from the Messenger Shallallahu alaihi wassalam”.
The most authentic Sanad is derived originally from: Malik, from az-Zuhri, and he (Anas bin Malik). While the most Dlaif of Dawud bin al-Muhabbir, from his father Muhabbir of Abban bin Abi Iyasy of him.
He died in 93 A. H. at the age of over a hundred years.
His full name is Zaid bin Tsabit bin Adh-Dhahak bin Zaid Ludzan bin Amru, he converted to Islam when he was 11 years old when the Battle of Badr occurred.
Life journey.
The Prophet handed over the banner of Banu Malik bin an-Najjar to ‘Imurah as commander of the battle of Tabuk, then the Prophet took it and handed it over to Zaid bin Tsabit. When he asked for it, the Emirate asked, ” O Messenger of Allah, are you going to give me what you have given me?. He replied, ” No, but the Quran should come first, and Zaid bin Tsabit mastered the Quran from you” more.
Zaid was also the author of the revelation for the Prophet Shallallahu ‘alaihi wassalam.
When Umar became Caliph he was appointed as the amir (governor) of Medina 3 times in the capital or in the central territory of power, and he was also assigned to collect the Quran on the orders of Abu Bakr and Umar as described in the narration narrated by Bukhari : “Zaid bin Tsabit said, ” I was told to face Abu Bakr with regard to the killing of the people of Yamamah, and when it was before him there was Umar bin al-Khaththab. Then Abu Bakr said, “If the war continues to be raging many casualties of the Muslims, many of the Quranic exporters in this country are killed, he said, where finally many parts of the Quran are lost so that the Quran is recorded, I look the same as Umar, you are a smart and young man, he said, so find and collect (Mushaf) al-Quran”.
Zaid bin Tsabit is a cleric whose position is the same as the scholars from among other friends, Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wassalam bersabda,” Ummatku who most mastered the science of Faraidh is Zaid bin Tsabit”.
Another similar history is found in the history of Imam an-Nasa’I and Ibn Majah, where the prophet said,” My most loving people is Abu Bakr, the strongest testimony before God is Umar, Umar, the most recognized feeling of shame is Uthman and the most powerful of faraidh is Zaid bin Tsabit”.
When Zaid bin Tsabit died Abu Hurairah said,” Has died the best man of this people may Allah make Ibn abbas his successor”.
