Trapped by the Marriage Bond

"You're home yet? Change clothes and come to dinner here" Hamid told his son.

"Ck. yes," replied Alex who was actually feeling lazy. He had to eat dinner at the dinner table which he never did as long as his parents were not home.

Alex immediately headed for the elevator to go upstairs, he did not notice Liana at the dinner table. 

While Liana looked amazed when she first saw the figure of Alex who turned out to be so handsome. Though he thought that Alex was old and his face was not that handsome, he thought. How could such a handsome man not sell? 

"Liana, the man who just entered the elevator was Alex. He will be your husband. Yeah, he was like that. Irit talk, cold, and also sniffling. That is his nature. I hope you never take offense, yeah. Because his nature is like that. And uncle also hopes you can change Alex for the better, you're a good woman. Uncle believes in you" Hamid said with a smile.

Liana could not answer anything but nod. He was not sure if Alex would accept the match. Just look, Alex is so handsome while he's just a normal-looking woman. If it might feel like a joke, he thought.

Not long after, Alex came and joined the dining table. He was seen glancing at Liana, and made her frown. But he did not care then busy staring at the plate that was filled with rice and various other menus by Veronica the stepmother.

"She's Liana, she'll be your wife in a moment." Hamid's speech was like a lightning strike. Alex never even knew the girl. 

Alex just kept quiet and preferred to eat his food. He doesn't care about all his papa. 

"Papa hope this time you agree and there's no rebuttal!" said Hamid who seemed pushy. He was very frustrated to find a mate for Alex. And this time he did not want Alex to argue and reject it.

Alex stayed quiet and enjoyed the meal. It made Hamid growled and felt neglected.

"You heard it or not!" snapped Hamid who felt his emotions had spread.

"Hm. but there's a condition." Alex now begins to talk without looking at Hamid, he stays busy with his food.

"Say." 

"I don't want this marriage to be known to anyone. This marriage must be closed. Don't let anyone know let alone the media know." 

"good. The important thing is that you get married" said Hamid, who agreed to Alex's terms. For him it doesn't matter. Most importantly, her son is getting married. He feels really relieved.

Veronica was also relieved. He became not dizzy looking for another soul mate for the son he continued.

While Liana, she was a little disappointed by it. He felt that Alex was ashamed to have a wife like him.  

"I'm done, I go to the room first" said Alex who immediately rushed away from the dining table. 

Liana stared at Alex's departure which looked very cold. Would she marry a man like that?

"Well, Liana. Since Alex has agreed, maybe your marriage will be done in these weeks. You don't mind, do you?"

"No, uncle." Liana smiled in agreement. But her mind was writhing, it felt so hard to go through a loveless marriage. Is this a good decision?

A week later, the wedding was held. There are no fancy parties. The wedding was held in a closed manner. And only attended by the nuclear family. 

The marriage took place solemnly. Alex has already made the marriage pledge. They are now officially married. Hamid felt overwhelmed. He was seen occasionally wiping tears that seemed to escape from his petals. He was so happy that Alex was married. 

The show did not last long, after they were legal and finished signing the marriage book, suddenly Alex just passed away. 

Hamid immediately chased Alex who suddenly left. 

"Alexes. Hey. wait! Where are you going!" 

Hamid immediately slapped Alex's cheek hard. Alex just silently looked at Hamid with an annoyed look.

"You just left? Leave the show without being polite! Where's your wits!" Hamid was furious with the behavior of Alex who felt inappropriate.

"Some of it all settled. I have business!" 

Alex just passed by leaving Hamid still clenching his hands.

"Based on a brat!" hamid grumbled while squeezing his fingers.

Hamid then returned to the event that was still going on with a heart filled with emotion. 

It seemed that Liana also felt disappointed at Alex's attitude that suddenly left just like that. But he tried to keep smiling and be fine. 

In the evening, Liana sits alone in Alex's room. After marriage, she moved into a room occupied by Alex. But until late at night Alex never came back. It made Liana look sad. Alex doesn't like his marriage at all.

Liana finally fell asleep on her own. He curled up with tears that had dried up on his cheeks.

In the morning, Liana wakes up and her net goes straight through her room, but there is no sign of Alex coming back. He was really sad, a marriage that should be happy but it was very painful. 

He woke up and immediately went to the bathroom, cleaning his face that looked cute and puffy eyes due to crying all night. 

After that she immediately went downstairs to help her mother-in-law prepare breakfast. 

"Liana, how did you sleep? Wakeless? Is Alex back?" veronica asked with a friendly smile. 

"Your, ma. She did, but she left for work this morning. He said there was something important in the office" replied Liana who was forced to lie. 

"Ck, the kid. Yes, no, don't enter the heart. Alex likes it that way." 

"Yes, ma." 

"Yes, already. Let's have breakfast. Everything is ready, let bi Ayun bring her food to the dining table. You just wait at the dinner table." 

"But, ma." Liana actually wanted to help. 

"Once, just wait there. This isn't your job." 

Liana had to comply. There is already Hamid sitting while busy with his phone. Liana sat down at the dining table feeling awkward.

"Eh Liana's. Hows it? Is Alex home yet?" ask Hamid. 

"Had pa, last night he came home. But it was gone again this morning, he said there was something important in the office." Liana had to go back to lying.

"Basic CPK. Looks like you have to be patient often huh, Liana. Alex likes to be outrageous. Papa likes to be dizzy with his behavior." 

"Yes, pa." Liana had to nod. His heart somehow felt. 

"Oh yes, later in the afternoon papa same mom should return to America. Papa's work has piled up so forced to go back there. Take good care of yourself. I hope your relationship with Alex gets closer. Papa can't wait to pet the grandson." said Hamid while chuckling. He returns to America not because of work, but just want Alex to be more intensely in touch with Liana without any intruders.

Liana objected to Hamid and Veronica leaving, but she could not have banned her in-laws from returning to America. He was forced to say it.
