Trapped in the Love of Stepchildren
Chapter 15's

Daniel grabs Laura's hand and comforts her. "We're gonna get through this together, Laura. We'll find a way to live our lives without fear and being happy together."

The lawyer took a breath and said, "There are several options you can consider. You can look for areas or countries that do not consider this kind of relationship as illegal and move there. Or you can get married so that this relationship is lawful."

Laura and Daniel stared at each other, pondering over the options provided by the lawyer. They know that their choices will affect their lives as well as the lives of their children later on.

Laura took a deep breath and said, "We will consider all these options and decide what is best for us and our family.”

Daniel nodded and gave a gentle smile to Laura.

"All right," said the lawyer. “Let me explain in more detail about the laws and laws related to the relationship as you are currently living, in order to make it easier for you to consider your decision.”

Laura and Daniel listened carefully, noting down every word the lawyer said.

"First of all, I would like to say that the laws and laws related to relationships like the ones you live in vary in different countries and regions. So, I need to emphasize that what I'm saying at this time only applies to this region," explained the lawyer.

Laura and Daniel nodded, telling the lawyer that they understood.

"Then, in this area, the relationship as you live can be considered as incest" the lawyer continued. "This means that both of you could be sentenced to prison if convicted of unlawful sexual intercourse."

Laura was surprised and looked at Daniel with a worried look. He could not imagine being separated from the man he loved.

"However, I have to say that not all types of relationships like this are considered illegal" the lawyer said. "There are some exceptions that can make a relationship like this legitimate in the eyes of the law."

Laura and Daniel listened carefully, noting down every explanation the lawyer gave. They hope there is a solution to the problem they are facing.

"One way to make your relationship legal in the eyes of the law is to get married" the lawyer explained. "However, I must tell you that in this region, even if you are married, there are still some types of relationships like this that remain illegal."

Laura and Daniel are a little relieved to hear that getting married could be the solution to their problems. But they remain concerned about the possible legal consequences they could face.

"The question now is whether you want to get married or not" the lawyer said. "If you decide to get married, then you must prepare well and ensure that your relationship is lawful."

Laura and Daniel stared at each other, giving each other support. They know that this is a big decision that will affect their lives and their children later.

"We will consider everything," Laura said finally, in a soft voice. "We just want to love each other and live our lives happily."

The lawyer nodded and gave a gentle smile to Laura and Daniel. "I understand, and I will be ready to support any decision taken by the two of you" the lawyer said sternly.

The lawyer continued, "I understand that this is a difficult decision, but I want you to understand the legal consequences of the relationship as you live. This is not only a moral or ethical issue, but also a serious legal one."

Laura and Daniel nodded, showing that they understood seriously what was being faced.

After that their lawyer asked permission to leave, after the lawyer left Laura and Daniel are still in doubt in determining the decision of their relationship. They decide to look for other solutions to their problems, and begin to find out if there are other alternatives they can consider.

Laura bowed lethargic and said. “I feel like my life is back in ruins. I love you Daniel, but I can't imagine how our family life will be.”

Daniel held Laura's hand. “I also don't know what to do. But we have to try to find another alternative. There may be a solution that we can find together.”

Laura and Daniel decided to seek help from other lawyers who might be able to provide advice or other options for their situation. After some time searching, they found a lawyer who had experience in cases like this.

The lawyer looked at Laura and Daniel attentively. “I understand how difficult the situation you are in is. However, I am sure there are some alternatives that we can consider.”

Laura was excited after hearing the words of the lawyer in front of them. “What alternative can we try?”

“First of all, we can find out if there are any countries or regions where this kind of relationship is considered legal. I can help find out more about the laws in those countries and help you in the process of moving to those countries.” Said the lawyer.

Daniel looked worried and said. “But does that mean you have to leave everything here? Our jobs and family?”

“I understand your concern, Daniel. However, we can look for solutions that can make this move easier for you both For example, we can find a job or business in the country, for example, or seek financial help to help your transfer process.” Obviously the lawyer.

“I feel this could be a good solution for us. But, do we have to just leave everything here?” Ask Laura.

“Not always so, Laura. You can still connect with your family and friends here, even if you are in a different country. You can also still make regular visits here to keep in touch with your family and friends.” Lawyer's remarks.

Daniel looks relieved. “I feel this solution could work for both of us. But, are there any other alternatives we can consider?” Said Daniel.

“Yes, no. In addition to finding out about countries or regions where such relationships are considered legal, you can also seek help from organizations or institutions that support rights like yours. They can provide advice or support for you in situations like this.” Said the lawyer.

Laura looked a little confused and asked. “What kind of organization or institution?”

“There are several organizations or institutions that support the rights to this relationship. They can provide advice or legal support for you in situations like this.” Lawyer's remarks.

Daniel seemed interested. “What should we do to seek help from such organizations or institutions?”

The lawyer explained. “You can find out more about the organization or institution through the internet or seek help from lawyers who have experience in cases like this. I can also help you in this process.”

Daniel was relieved to hear of alternative options they could consider. I feel more confident in finding solutions to their problems.

Meanwhile Laura was only speechless hearing what the lawyer explained. Does he feel any doubt that they, especially Daniel, have to sacrifice so much for their relationship? Is this sacrifice worth their love?
