"Honor for family values and relationships is something we must maintain. Laura is a stranger in this family, and her presence here as a stepmother to our child is a threat" Laura's ex-husband's family lawyer said.

Laura felt her chest pounding loudly hearing those words. He felt the eyes of the people investigating him. But he kept pushing hard, assuring his right to maintain the relationship he had built with Daniel.

Laura's lawyer, who was also present at the trial, immediately gave a response to the argument. "Dear judge, we argue that the family of Laura's ex-husband does not have a strong legal basis for demanding restrictions on the relationship between Laura and Daniel. Laura's presence as a stepmother is the result of Daniel's own love and desire, ”.

The debate between the two sides was long. Testimony from some of Laura's ex-husband's family members shows their concern over the impact of Laura and Daniel's relationship on the family's heritage and the traditional values they espouse.

Laura sat on the plaintiff's bench tensely, while the family members of her ex-husband, who was the defendant's party, sat in the front row. The judge sits at the court table, taking all parties seriously.

“Thank you, Judge. I want to make it clear that my relationship with Daniel was something that started with sadness and emptiness. I lost my husband in a tragic car accident. And after that, I felt devastated and this life was meaningless. But then, Daniel showed up in my life." Laura said.

The family members of her ex-husband shook their heads, showing their disapproval of Laura and Daniel's relationship.

“Judges, we have great concerns about the impact this relationship has on our family heritage and traditional values. Laura is not a member of our family, and we're not sure she can provide the stability we want for Daniel." Said Mrs Sari, the mother of Tom.

Laura held back her cries and continued.

“I understand their concerns, Judge. However, I would like to stress that I am giving Daniel sincere affection and care. I am not a stepmother who doesn't care. Daniel and I have formed a strong bond, and we are supporting each other in the face of this difficult time." Laura said in a hoarse voice.

The wise judge listens to all arguments from both sides.

“Good, let's listen to testimonies from both parties.” Judge Saying.

Witnesses from the family of Laura's ex-husband testified to their concerns one by one in turn.

“Your Highness, we are worried that Laura will not pass on the traditional values of our family to Daniel. This relationship could ruin the peace of the family and tarnish our family's good name.” Kris is Tom's om.

“I have listened carefully to all the arguments and testimonies submitted by both sides. I will postpone the trial until the next date to give time for both parties to draft their final arguments.” Judge Saying.

Laura and Daniel leave the courtroom feeling mixed. They were relieved that the judge did not directly decide in the trial that day, but they also felt tense with the upcoming trial. They walked side by side in the corridor of the court, contemplating what had just happened.

Laura took her breath and exhaled heavily. “It's really heavy, Daniel. But we have to stay strong and fight for our relationship."

Daniel clasped Laura's hand tightly, giving her support.

“You're right, Laura. Though they doubt us, we must prove that our love is real and capable of facing all challenges." Daniel said softly.

They sat on a bench by the window, looking out at the busy court scene. The atmosphere was silent for a moment before Laura started the conversation again.

“What happened today makes me sad, Daniel. I never intended to destroy family values or damage their heritage. I just want to give want to be with you and love you.” Laura said.

Daniel rubbed Laura's arm gently, trying to calm her down.

“You did nothing wrong, Laura. We're just trying to build a new life together. I know how valuable you are to me.” Said Daniel.

Laura smiled gently, moved by Daniel's support.

“I know you're also worried about the next trial, Daniel. But we must remain optimistic and believe in our love. We have a chance to prove that our relationship is the best,” Laura said softly.

Daniel looked at Laura with confidence.

“You are an amazing woman, Laura. I'm sure we'll make it through this together. We just need to prepare our final arguments well and explain clearly how much we care about each other." Said Daniel.

“You're right, Daniel. We're not just gonna give up. We will speak from heart to heart and express how important our relationship is. The next trial will be the last chance to convince the judge and family members that we deserve to be together." Laura said.

They held hands tightly, preparing themselves for the next trial to come, while the setting sun emitted its gentle rays through the court window, it signifies that there is a new life waiting for them at the end of this struggle.
