Trapped in the Love of Stepchildren
Chapter 3

Laura sat on the sofa, her face filled with confusion and worry. He stared at the window, occasionally sighing.

Emma, her closest friend since high school, comes to Laura's house with some warm cookies and tea. Emma soon sees that Laura is not in good shape.

"What's up, Laure?" emma asked, putting cake and tea on the table.

Laura looked at Emma, her lips quivering, and she finally decided to tell her everything.

"You know Daniel, my stepson?" laura asked, her voice sounding weak.

Yes, I remember," replied Emma.

"I don't know how to tell you that,” Laura said.

Emma sat down next to Laura, taking Laura's hand gently.

"Tell me, Laure," said Emma.

Laura also admitted that she had been in a relationship with her stepson Daniel after her husband Tom died.

Emma looked at Laura with a thoughtful look. "How do you feel about this, Laura?" tanyakanya.

"I'm so confused, Emma. I love Daniel, but he's my stepdaughter. I felt like I was doing something wrong," Laura replied in a trembling voice.

"You didn't do anything wrong, Laura. You've found true love and there's nothing wrong with that" Emma said gently.

"But how can I love my stepdaughter? What would people think of us?" I asked Laura sadly.

Emma put her hand over Laura's. "What matters is how you feel about yourself and your relationship with Daniel. No matter what people say, if you're happy, that's the most important."

Laura nodded. "I feel happy with Daniel. But, I'm afraid that this relationship won't end well."

"All relationships require hard work, Laura. Don't stop loving just because you're afraid of getting hurt. We never know what happens in the future, but we have to take risks and follow our hearts" Emma said.

Laura pondered for a moment about Emma's words. He knew his best friend was right. He can't stop loving just for fear of getting hurt.

"I will try to trust my own feelings and continue this relationship with Daniel" Laura said firmly.

Emma smiled and nodded. "I've always supported you, Laura. And if you need someone to talk to, I'm always there for you."

Laura thought of Emma's suggestion for a moment before saying, "I'll give it a try. Thank you so much, Em."

Laura and Daniel sat on the porch with a glass of tea in their hands. They faced each other and looked at each other affectionately. They are talking about their past.

"You know, Daniel, I feel so guilty for what happened in the past" Laura said in a soft voice.

Daniel placed his hand on Laura's hand and said, "You don't need to feel guilty, Laura. What happened in the past cannot be changed. The important thing is that we learn from our experiences and strive to be better in the future."

Laura smiled, relieved to hear Daniel's words. They continued to talk about their life experiences. Laura tells about her past with Tom, and how she felt lost when her husband died.

Daniel listened attentively and held Laura's hand tightly. "I know what it's like to lose someone we love, Laura. But, we must learn to never give up and keep fighting in life."

Laura felt warm in her heart hearing Daniel's words. He felt that he could open up to Daniel and talk about anything without fear or shame.

"You know, Laura, I feel so lucky to have found you. I never thought that I would find someone like you" Daniel said sincerely.

Laura smiled and said, "I also feel lucky, Daniel. You are an amazing person, and I feel very comfortable with you."

"But I'm afraid of what will happen in the future. What if we face a difficult obstacle? What if we can't solve our problems?" laura asked with a trembling voice.

Daniel placed his hand on Laura's cheek and said, "Don't be afraid, Laura. We will face our problems together. We will support each other and overcome obstacles together."

"You know, Daniel, I've never been this happy before. I feel that you are the right person for me" Laura said sincerely.

Daniel smiled and said, "I feel the same, Laura. I'm so happy to be with you."

Laura looked at Daniel and said, "I just want you to know, Daniel, that you are the most important person in my life right now. I don't know what would happen if you weren't here."

Daniel smiled and grabbed Laura's hand, "I feel the same, Laura. You are everything to me. I will always be here for you, to support you and love you."

They kept talking about their relationship and talking about their concerns. Laura worries that their relationship may not be accepted by those around them, but Daniel assures her that they should prioritize their own happiness.

"I don't care what others think of us. Importantly, we love each other and support each other" Daniel said firmly.
