Trapped in the Love of Stepchildren
Chapter 4's

Laura felt tense when she saw Daniel waiting for her outside the gate. He stood in front of the mirror, set his hair and tried to calm himself down before going out. Finally, he took a deep breath and opened the door.

"Hey," he said, smiling at Daniel.

"Hi," Daniel replied as he answered Laura's smile.

“I've prepared dinner for us." Laura said.

Daniel follows Laura to the kitchen, where he sees a dining table full of food. The two of them sat together, talking about all sorts of things, but they never missed to glance at their phones to make sure there were no incoming messages or calls.

"They'll definitely suspect something if we keep going like this" Laura said after they finished eating.

"But I don't want to hide our relationship, Laura. I love you," Daniel answered, holding Laura's hand.

Laura smiled, feeling warm in her heart. "I love you too, Daniel. But I don't want to hurt them, especially your mother or the neighbors around my house.”

Daniel nodded. "I knew. But I'm sure they'll support us if we love each other. And I'm old enough to make my own decisions."

They continue their secret date, but find it increasingly difficult to hide their relationship. They try not to be too friendly when there are other people around them, but sometimes it is difficult to do.

One day, while they were walking in the park, Laura suddenly saw one of her neighbors, Bu Eni, walking towards them. Panicked, Laura grabbed Daniel's hand and walked away from the neighbor.

"What's wrong?" daniel asked, looking at Laura's anxious face.

"My neighbor, she's there," Laura whispered as she pointed towards Bu Eni.

Daniel looked in the direction Laura pointed to and felt tense. "We find another way,” said Daniel, and go grabbing Laura's hand to take another way to avoid Bu Eni.

Laura and Daniel find it increasingly difficult to hide their relationship. They're not trying to stay careful, but it doesn't always work. They often stop in more private places to avoid suspicion.

Laura and Daniel were sitting in a garden, looking out at a beautiful lake. They looked tense and anxious, and Daniel held Laura's hand tightly.

“Laura, I find it increasingly difficult to hide our relationship from others. I wanted to tell my mom, but I'm afraid she won't like it." Said Daniel.

“I know, Daniel. I want to tell people too, but I'm afraid they'll get angry. They've always had a bad impression of me since I was your father's second wife." Laura said sadly.

“But I can't keep our relationship hidden like this. It makes me uncomfortable and I don't want to lie to my family and friends." Daniel held Laura's hand tightly.

“I understand how you feel, Daniel. But I'm afraid of what will happen if we reveal our relationship. We must think wisely before making a decision." Laura said.

“Yes, I know. But what should we do? How can we stay together without having to keep everything a secret?" Daniel looked at Laura.

“I don't know, Daniel. Maybe we could try to reduce the time we spend together in front of our family and friends, but I'm not sure it'll work." Laura said.

“I think we should take the risk and tell our family and friends. I don't want to hide our relationship anymore." Daniel was sure.

“I know, Laura. But I can't keep my feelings hidden for you. I love you and I want everyone to know about it." Said Daniel.

“Alright, Daniel. We will tell our family and friends about our relationship. But we must be prepared for the consequences." Said Laura softly.

“Thank you, Laura. I know it's not an easy decision, but I'm sure we can deal with it together."

They hugged each other tightly and looked at each other lovingly. They know that their decision will probably have great consequences, but they are both ready to deal with it together.

“Laura, you know I feel very happy to be in a relationship with you. You're so special to me, and I can't imagine my life without you in it." Said Daniel.

Laura smiled and replied to Daniel.

“Together, Daniel. You are also very special to me and I feel very lucky to have you in my life." Laura said.

“I just hope our family and friends can accept our relationship openly. I know it's not an easy thing for them to accept, but I wish they could see that we love each other and want to be together." Daniel tightened his embrace.

“I hope so too, Daniel. But we must remain patient and give them time to understand and accept our relationship." Laura said.

Then, Daniel clasped Laura's hand and looked into her eyes lovingly.

“Laura, would you stay with me if our family and friends could not accept our relationship?" Tany Daniel with a worried look.

“Of course, Daniel. I love you and I don't want to lose you. We can face all obstacles together." Laura said.

Daniel smiled and kissed Laura's hand.

“Thank you, Laura. You're an amazing woman and I'm so lucky to have you in my life." Said Daniel.

Laura felt warm in her heart hearing Daniel's words. They continued their date by enjoying the view of the lake that felt more beautiful in front of them.

“Daniel, what are your plans for the two of us in the future?" Ask Laura.

“I want us to get to know each other better and learn about each other's desires and ideals. I want us to be able to build a bright future together." Daniel was serious.

“I agree. And I also want us to be able to find a way to build our relationships openly and honestly in front of our family and friends." Laura said.

“Yes, it will definitely be a beautiful thing. We'll stick together and face all the obstacles together." Said Daniel.

They talk about their future with passion and ambition, and feel so happy that they can live their secret dates more quietly because their plan to announce their relationship to their family and friends is getting closer.
