CHAPTER 37. THE DISAPPEARANCE OF KEN AND HIS HENCHMEN

Johan was looking for a way how he could oversee a house they considered home where his parents and foster siblings were.

"Gue wants out of this job. And I want to work somewhere else" Johan told Daniel.

The shocked Daniel began to scrunch his forehead. "Where else is it?"

"The place Alea was."

"Lu's crazy! isn't Alea just against us?" daniel asked in surprise as Johan said.

"Gue can't be quiet, Niel, they're a part of me. I can't bear to, I'm sure the old woman has made mama suffer and I should be able to make papa aware immediately" Johan said with a stir.

"How's it going?" ask Daniel.

"I'll work there as a personal bodyguard. Ajumma is next door to our house who tells us that his master needs a bodyguard. I think what ajumma said was Ratih."

"Supervisors? body guard means?" asked Daniel in wonder.

"Yes." replied Johan lightly.

"Lu's sure?sorry, I'm not sure, but I doubt it. What can you do?" daniel asked, a little scoffing.

Johan only grimaced in response to Daniel's remark. "Eagle's legs snatched the chick."

"Serious gue Jo!"

"Your life is too serious after you know Asia even after you break up your life feels high voltage."

"Ah ah, I'm asking seriously no kidding. Then, what about dady for sure he'll know if you stop working, and he'll be suspicious."

"Dady can't be suspicious but he'll be asking a lot of questions. Take it easy I'll explain in my own way."

"Okay, you be careful over there. Don't make Ratih suspicious."

"Relax, Ratih doesn't know me" Johan said.

The next day, Johan had given a letter of resignation, this morning he had packed from the mess and started living in Ratih's house to work there.

While Daniel is looking for ways how he can communicate with Johan even though they do not live together. The goal is none other than to find out the situation of Alea and her family to learn the negligence of the household in order to save the three of them and get out of the house.

Daniel was looking for part time job vacancies in several newspapers and unexpectedly found a suitable and fitting job. The arrival of the place and coincidentally the work is not too complicated where Daniel only needs to come at night as a cashier in a minimarket. This is very coincidental because the minimarket is not far from the Ratih house. Like a saying of shoots loved ulam also arrived. "I finally found a way to communicate with Johan" Daniel said.

A month later

Daniel has gone through his new profession as a cashier at night as well as Johan who works as a personal bodyguard. And for a month that Daniel still did not know the situation Johan, had felt worried but he was sure Johan is not a weak person.

Tonight for Daniel is not as unusual as usual night, so crowded minimarket. Daniel, who was usually not as busy this time, felt a little tired. He who was exhausted was suddenly irritated by the presence of a customer who was so clenched.

"I need a bottle of milk,"(i need milk)

"What flavor?"(what taste?) ask Daniel politely.

"White strawberry,"

"Sorry berry or strawberry?"

"Berry strawberries."

"Means you will buy two bottle berries and strawberries?"(will you buy two bottles?)

"No, I need strawberry berries."

Long enough Daniel responded to the wishes of the customer, it felt irritated. Until he felt strange and familiar with the customer. He looked carefully at the customer's face before long the customer began to smile a little while laughing and Daniel also understood that the customer was none other than Johan.

"Damn you! don't bother you!" said Daniel.

"Hahaha, very tense bro! relax dunk."

"Crazy you, my emotions got customers so."

Finally, the two of them talked to each other because it happened that the minimarket had begun to be quiet.

"Where are you there?" ask Daniel.

"Gue's fine, mama's condition is not good. Alea and papa still don't realize that handsome body guard is me" Johan said.

Then Johan told all the details of the condition of mama, papa and also Alea. According to the story Johan the worst condition is mama Lily, while papa Joshki does not remember his wife even he was silent when kissed by Ratih in front of his mother. That's why every night Mama Ratih always cries like a moaning person.

"I feel like I'm boiling when I see Ratih hugging papa. It seems that Asian behavior is declining from Ratih. Though clearly he is still the husband of Leon as well as the father who is the husband of the mother." said Johan while sounding his jaw hard and clenching his hands.

Daniel who heard that was silent and not surprised. He remembered how his ex-girlfriend behaved like her mother.

"Did papa really not remember his wife?" ask Daniel who tried to divert Johan's words.

"When he could remember his wife, because Ratih did not give the reminder medicine given by the doctor, he simply threw away the medicine."

Not feel their long chatter makes them forget time. Finally they both ended their conversation because indeed Johan had to return to the house immediately as well as Daniel who had to close the minimarket and return home to rest because tomorrow morning he had to leave works.

During work part time as a cashier fatigue and drowsiness did appear but as much as possible he lost. That sense he made as a reference where indeed to be successful is not instant, he who at that time after graduating from college was immediately offered to become a diplomat also felt tired when studying as well as now where he must become an OB and try to save his uncle's family by become a cashier.

Daniel did not think that what he was doing had been supervised by his dady, including being a minimarket cashier. Joshka is proud of her son because he can live independently.

Not only proud of Daniel, he was also proud of Johan, he did not expect Johan to choose to become a personal bodyguard and take off the chauffeur job at his company.

Daniel and Johan are so good at storing information about Joshki's living family. They have a goal of not wanting to involve Joshka and Melly because if they are involved then it is feared that this conflict of hearts will not be resolved and widened.

Daniel who is not working part time as a cashier at night is a little difficult to communicate with Johan. And it's been almost a year that Daniel hasn't seen Johan.

Daniel's decision is not to continue his part-time work because a few months ago he got a promotion from Ken who is none other than the head of a branch company in Korea owned by his father.

His suspicions against Ken were based because he overheard two people in Ken's room talking about him embezzling company money. At that time Daniel who was still an OB and was cleaning the room heard it clearly, but when he heard someone coming out of the room immediately Daniel put a headset and pretended to keep cleaning the room. Ken suspects that Daniel heard all of his talk.

"Gee, what if the OB were listening to me" Ken said unsettledly to one of his staff.

"Did you make sure?"

"She was using a headset and when I rebuked her loudly she didn't hear my call" Ken explained.

"Did you make sure?"

"It's done, but I'll take care of it."

After hearing Ken and his interlocutor's conversation it felt like Daniel was emotional and angry. How not Ken who is a confidant of his father embezzles the company's money. Daniel was eager to tell his dady but some days his mother said that the health condition of dady is not good.

"Don't this be Ken's stratagem, I was raised to a staff in the finance department, would I be scapegoated?" his inner.

During his time as a financial staff there were some employees who did not like and underestimated even looking side to Daniel, but he is not too dizzy with that attitude he actually reciprocates by showing his credibility at work.

Ken himself was surprised he did not think that Daniel was able to do all the work he deliberately gave, and requested that Daniel's teammate forbid them to teach Daniel but they were all stunned when Daniel was able to do the job in no time. Though Ken's initial intention of putting Daniel in that section wanted to throw Daniel away.

"I want you to manipulate the company's financial statements."

"Why do you trust me so much and tell me to do it when I'm a former OB and not clear background" said Daniel mendelah as if to insinuate Ken who has investigated Daniel's background.

"Because I admire you, I believe in you. We share the profits of the company after all Mr. Joshka will not know and suspect, he is already quite rich and has a treasure."

Daniel who heard that felt like he wanted to hit the person in front of him. Ken himself is unaware that Daniel is the son of Joshka, the owner of the company. Business friends and even Joshka employees never know the face of Joshka's son and wife, who they all know is that Joshka's son is a diplomat and his wife is a doctor.

Daniel who listened was just silent and paying attention and looking for the truth of the employee's words.

"Sir .. how is what I say true that you also saw the manipulation report?" say one of the other employees.

"Hem. Then where are they all, why don't they show up one by one?" ask Daniel.

"That's Mr. Joshka. He does look good, calm but he is like a wave if angry. He does not hesitate to eliminate people who are in trouble especially to manipulate financial statements to harm the company." explained the employee.

"How do you know all that?" ask Daniel not to believe.

"My uncle was an employee of Mr. Joshka at the London branch, and once a friend of his had manipulated financial statements. And he was lost, after the disappearance of the man finally assistant to the master Joshka gave an ultimatum that the master Joshka will not tolerate the name of betrayal, and will eradicate it to the roots."

Hearing that Daniel did not think that the dady he thought was calm turned out to be cold-blooded.

Joshka's unexpected arrival left some employees shocked, due to incomplete office conditions where the main manager and some employees in the main division did not appear exactly disappeared.

He asked his assistant to explain the company's order, which basically means that whoever committed fraud will bear the consequences. All the employees who heard gave boisterous applause, congratulations and happy words for having a smart and handsome leader.

"Dad, where are Ken and his henchmen?" ask Daniel in curiosity.

"Without dady explaining you already know the answer."

Daniel who heard Joshka's answer still can't believe it turns out that what the female employee said about her dady is true.
