Lucy's birthday event began to be held in the grounds of the Resort on the beach. The atmosphere is very comfortable accompanied by the sound of the waves of the beach and the sea breeze that blows breeze.
The night was also very bright, with the sky decorated with many stars, adding a romantic impression that is hard to miss.
The event began with a dinner together, then continued with small games followed by Lucy's friends including Ghea and Sylvia who were also enthusiastic.
Aura himself is not very interested in following all the list of events carried there. He just sat and watched. Various deserts are presented Aura try without anyone being missed, sometimes sweet foods can make the mood improve again.
Until someone came up to him and Aura knew that it was Devon-the man she had only known a while ago.
Actually Aura has not changed much about her interest in men, she is not so interested because her understanding still remains the same that all men are not sincere. To that end, he responds to Devon in the usual way, just as he mingles with Darren and Carl.
Until now, only one man was able to make him interested and want to have, unfortunately that person was actually the man who had once belonged to him and it was Rayyan. The feeling was also formed because Aura only realized that Rayyan had sacrificed a lot for her.
"Why not join the others?" devon asked starting the conversation.
Aura responded to that with a thin smile, "I'm not interested," she replied honestly.
"I think you have a personal problem" Devon said later.
Aura nodded, she did not dismiss. "You're a good guesser" he admitted.
Devon chuckled at a glance. "Because since the beginning of your arrival on the yacht, I've been watching you" he said seriously.
Hearing Devon's words, Aura turned to the man with the firm jaw. "really? I thought I was the only one who felt cared for by you," he replied. Actually Aura did not intend to serve Devon, only accidentally he saw if Rayyan was watching his interaction with Devon now, so Aura deliberately did that to see the reaction of her ex-husband.
"It turns out you're not as I thought you were. You can joke, too" said Devon.
Mangosteen aura. "You've known Rayyan for a long time, haven't you?" tanyakanya.
"Oh, Rayyan joined our organization six months ago."
Apparently Devon's answer is the same as Carl said the other day, this actually sparked Aura's curiosity about the organization.
"What organization is it?"
"social organization. We are joined in a sphere that cares and helps each other for social affairs such as orphanages and nursing homes, accident victims and victims of natural disasters. So we go hand in hand to help with activities that lead to that kind of thing."
Aura was interested in hearing that. "If I join there too, what can I do?" tanyakanya. Besides being interested in getting close to Rayyan through that organization, Aura asked that question as well because she really had a soul concerned about it.
"May if you want. You can also donate clothes, medicines, especially money to those in need" Devon replied.
"It looks like it's interesting. I'd love to be able to channel all of that to people who deserve it."
"That means you have a high social spirit like most of us in the organization."
Gradually, Aura told a lot of stories with Devon. At first he only wanted to see Rayyan's reaction, but because Devon's response was good to him as well as answering all of his words in earnest they ended up actually engaging in quite a serious conversation.
It did not feel the peak event that was hailed from the beginning was finally implemented. Where Lucy stood in front of her birthday cake and greeted all the friends who were present.
"Tonight is a very special night, apart from because it's my birthday, it's also because there's someone special coming to attend my special event." Lucy started to say her words.
This is where Aura has to strengthen her heart, as if she already knows and can guess where Lucy's next conversation will be.
"Thank you to him for making time for me. This first cake I will give for him," said Lucy with a bright face.
Before long, the woman said a name that finally got cheers and applause from all the guests who came there, except Aura of course.
"Rayyan, this is my first cake for you."
And Aura threw away her face as Rayyan actually received the cake Lucy had given her.
Aura ran to the shore. He leaves Lucy's birthday party still going on. His memory again makes a glimpse of Rayyan's response when receiving Lucy's birthday cake earlier. The man seemed to be smiling shyly and as if he was hanging out with Lucy there.
The most painful thing is that they both seem to be very compatible. Even their outfits are laden with meaning if the two are really a compact couple.
Aura held onto her chest which felt a thundered pain. Is this how it feels to have a broken heart? Aura did not blame Rayyan, it was her own fault. After all, Aura knew that Rayyan deserved to be happy. He could not give her that happiness so now is the time for Rayyan to be happy with others.
The aura took a deep breath. It sits on the sand of the beach giving a night view of the ocean. Crying with a tight chest. How much regret is no longer useful.
Everything that ever happened between him and Rayyan-spinned in his brain memory like a movie being shown.
Aura deeply remembered how Rayyan treated her and she responded with an inappropriate attitude.
Aura also remembered the incident where she always said ketus to the man. Comparing Lucy's meek treatment in front of Rayyan.
"It's obvious Rayyan chose Lucy, a gentle woman unlike me who was always thin even though Rayyan had treated me very gently."
Aura patted her own chest because she felt this reality was very painful. Aura also recalled how she had always underestimated Rayyan. High-minded and consider Rayyan just hitchhiking with her.
"How can you still expect him to come back, Ra? Even a little bit about you, Rayyan will be easily forgotten because all you give her is pain!" That was how Aura's inner self reminded her of the past she had always served for the man.
"Now you must be self-conscious, Aura! You shouldn't expect Rayyan anymore. If you truly love her, let her be happy with others."
Again Aura seemed to be at war with herself. One part of him told him to forget Rayyan and let her go. But on the other hand, his selfish soul also thrashed to have the man back and promised to be even better.
Aura finally gave up, after pondering for quite a while, Aura knew that Rayyan hated her selfishness the most. For that, Aura would try not to be selfish by forcing the man. From now on, Aura must be able to accept the reality and forget about Rayyan because her ex-husband also has the right to be happy.
"You're here apparently!"
Devon's voice made Aura immediately wipe away the traces of her tears. He looked up and saw the tall man not far from him.
"Devs?"
"Why leave all of a sudden? Your friend asked you because we were at the same table."
Aura tried to smile. "Sorry, I was on the phone so decided to stay away because it was too noisy there" he said.
Devon. "I don't think you like the crowd that much" she guessed.
"You can judge others quickly, huh?" said Aura.
"That's right. That's me!" he said with confidence.
"Did you see my three other friends? I haven't seen them since."
"So your friend Wilow asked you, but after I said I'd find you, he was relieved and rejoined the other friends who were playing games on Lucy's show."
"Oh, so they're there. I didn't see it." Aura put on a grin that looked stiff.
"How can you look at them if your body is here but your mind is everywhere" Devon joked.
Aura grimaced, This Devon is good at judging others, he thought. Aura was actually afraid that Devon had read the situation after seeing Rayyan save her this afternoon.
"Are you okay? I think you're daydreaming a lot."
Aura chuckled small. "Don't you guess that I have a personal problem and yes, it's not entirely wrong" he said.
From now on, Aura will really try to be sincere and live everything according to the plot that has been written for her. He recalled, if Rayyan had ever told him to deal with a problem instead of avoiding it, so now Aura would have started doing that.
