"Are you ready?"
Aura responded to Devon's question with a nod.
They had just finished holding a social event at the orphanage and thankfully the activity went smoothly.
"I'll take you home, okay?"
"No, Dev. I'm just waiting for Wilow."
"Wilow's not home yet, is he? I saw his car leave earlier."
"really?" Aura did not tell Wilow if he wanted to hitchhike with his friend, but usually Wilow always waited for him because he knew he was alone. Maybe Wilow there is something urgent so hurry home without inviting Aura to go home together. I don't know.
"Huum. Look, it's getting dark, it's better if I drop off" Devon asked again.
Aura had yet to reply as the voice of a woman interrupted their conversation.
"Rome, Dev? You guys haven't come home yet?" Lucy and Rayyan approach both. Lucy said hello, while Rayyan looked silent and noticed, the man's gesture and expression were still the same, cold and flat.
Aura only responded to Lucy with a faint smile, while Devon chose to answer.
"Here we just got to go home."
"Oh, you guys are coming home together?" ask Lucy to investigate. He glanced at Rayyan at a glance, as if to see the man's reaction to this.
"Yes." Yeah."
"Don't Devon get on the bike, does Aura not mind?"
Devon turned to Aura, hoping that she would give him the answer.
"No problem. After all, my luggage has been distributed so it will not be troublesome even though riding a motorcycle," replied Aura.
"Oh. Yes, be careful, you guys," said Lucy as she passed. Aura had a glance if Rayyan's hand was slightly pulled by the woman to immediately move from the place.
After Aura picked up her bag, she and Devon walked together to get to where the man's motorbike was parked.
"Come on!"
"Are you tired?" ask Devon.
"Lumayan."
"What do you think? This kind of activity is fun, right?"
"Yes, this can fill free time on weekends" Aura timpal said with his trademark smile.
Arriving in front of Devon's motorbike, the man seemed to frown, because he felt something had happened with his vehicle.
"Why did the tires deflate?" muttered Devon. The man looked at Aura with a gloating look.
"Well, I'll take a taxi. Or do you want to come too?" bargain the woman with Devon.
After a short thought, Devon finally agreed to Aura's suggestion. He will leave his motorbike at the orphanage and will contact the subscription workshop to pick up the vehicle later.
"All right, let's get a cab."
Aura was a little surprised because Devon was holding her hand, because he did not want to offend the man who had always been kind to her, Aura slowly brushed off Devon's hand that held her fingers.
"Oh, sorry, I reflexively held you earlier," said Devon who realized that Aura was uncomfortable with her actions.
"Yes, it's okay." Aura did not return Devon's gaze.
As they waited for a taxi, a car approached them.
"Devs! Ra! Why are you here?" Lucy's voice rang out from the windshield of the car that was slowly lowered.
Aura suddenly looked there, where in the car was Rayyan sitting behind the wheel, but her gaze was straight ahead without looking at her.
"We want to go home but my motorcycle tyre is flat" Devon told Lucy.
"Oh, how about you guys just ride in our car? Yeah, right, Ray?" Lucy asked Rayyan for her opinion and the man only nodded once to respond.
"No need. Thank you," reject Aura directly, how can he ride there and must continue to watch the togetherness of Lucy and Rayyan throughout the journey. Oh, naw!
"May you also not mind."
Devon's answer was inversely proportional to the speech Aura made. Hadn't Aura already rejected his offer, why would Devon even agree?
Aura turned to the tall man by her side. Devon should have asked for his opinion on this, but in fact the man again reflexively took his hand to enter the car that had stopped there.
"Devs?"
"I don't want us to stay here until it's dark, it's okay if we go with them" whispered Devon.
Aura seemed to have no choice when Devon had opened the car door for her, inevitably the woman went up to the car as well.
"We deliver Aura first, yes," said Devon.
"Don't we go through your apartment first?" It was Rayyan who said Devon.
"Yes, but I want to take Aura along."
Not wanting to argue, Devon finally gave up because Rayyan's words were true. "Alright, we follow the route, ' he said relented.
Aura just stayed in the back seat that was next to Devon.
"aura?" Suddenly Lucy's voice broke the silence that had been created between the four of them.
"Yes?"
"From the beginning, I wanted to know how you and Ray got to know each other, it just so happens that now we're home together so I want to hear your answer about it."
"W-what?" Aura was slightly stunned by Lucy's question. It felt like he handed the answer to Rayyan alone, but seeing the response of the man who was just silent, made Aura go awry.
"Yes, since when do you know each other and why do you know each other?" ask Lucy to repeat.
"I-I can't remember exactly when we knew each other," Aura said hesitantly. He did not know when Rayyan knew him after the fact about Rayyan who had helped him from Shandy-began Aura remembered. Even with a photo of his childhood that was kept by the man.
"But you're reportedly relatives?" timpal Devon was also interested in this.
"Congratulations?" beo Aura did not understand, where did this info come from, he thought.
"Yes, I heard from Carl you and Rayyan are relatives."
Rayyan who heard that also took a glance from the middle rearview mirror, she wanted to know what answer Aura would give, even though her looks were made as flat as possible.
"Ah, yes, we are relatives. More or less like that," replied the ambiguous Aura.
Lucy was frustrated by the vague answer from Aura's lips.
"So, since when do you know?" ask Devon later.
"From small. Yeah, wouldn't relatives get to know each other from childhood?" aura said with a grin that seemed confused about her own answer. For whatever sake, Aura was eager to get out of this situation, as soon as possible.
"Ah, whereas I want a serious answer, but Aura seems like a joke hobby." Lucy chuckles in her position.
"What about you, Ray? When exactly did you know Aura?" devon asked, who asked Rayyan.
The man was silent, Aura thought that Rayyan could not possibly be interested in the silly question that Lucy and Devon were asking.
"Yes, that's right, I've known him since I was a kid," Rayyan said flatly but sounded honest.
And Rayyan's reply made Aura slightly stunned.
"really? Was little Aura also as beautiful as she is today?" Devon asked with a smile that led to Aura making the woman lower her head.
"While her teeth were broken when she fell off her bike, it didn't affect anything, she was always beautiful" Rayyan said.
Now Aura's eyes were breaking hearing him. Not just Aura, but Lucy as well.
But Devon was different, the man instead chuckled loudly. "really? She must be so cute" he said.
"That's how it is" Rayyan responded.
Lucy is seen to continue to observe Rayyan whose expression is not at all guilty of praising Aura's beauty in front of the woman.
While Aura, she stared at the streets thinking why Rayyan knew about her childhood - when she fell off her bike and broke her teeth.
"Had arrived, Dev. Comedown!" rayyan said, making Devon look around and right if he was in front of the courtyard of his apartment building.
"Ra, I'm first. You're careful on the road and don't look at the adult scenes Lucy and Rayyan might be watching" Devon joked before actually getting out of the car.
Aura's face instantly flushed red due to Devon's statement. Just imagining her words made Aura want to scream.
Don't let Lucy and Rayyan really put it in front of her.
The car is back running and feels a fairly calm atmosphere. Aura thinks Devon's speech will be realized, at least Rayyan and Lucy will chat and make him heartbroken for the umpteenth time again. In fact not so, the two also fell silent as if dissolved in their respective minds.
From the beginning of offering Aura and Devon a ride, Lucy does intend to show off her and Rayyan's affection for Aura and Devon. However, Rayyan's praise of Aura earlier, managed to make Lucy's mood deteriorate so that she suddenly remained silent without a word.
Until finally, the car driven by Rayyan again stopped. Aura felt that this had not reached her apartment area, so she thought that there might be something Rayyan or Lucy wanted to buy in this area, in fact, Lucy's voice made Aura realize that now they were in the area where Lucy lived.
"Why don't we take Aura first, Ray?" lucy's protest is back.
"This is correct, we follow the route and the Aura Apartment is on the last route," Rayyan replied calmly.
"But, Ray?"
"I'm not gonna turn around to drive you back here, Lucy."
Lucy grumbling. "All right." The woman looked back too. "I'm first, Ra!" he said it was pleasant-talking, but it sounded sniffy.
Aura nodded with a keki attitude. It's nothing, after Lucy gets off it means she'll be alone with Rayyan in the same car. That's right, isn't it? How'this?
After Lucy's departure, the car did not return. Aura wondered what Rayyan had in mind, why did the man not return to driving and immediately deliver Aura alone?
Because it feels like Aura wants to get home soon, because she does not want to be trapped in an awkward atmosphere if only the two are with Rayyan in this car.
Unfortunately, Rayyan's cold voice managed to freeze Aura's brain in the same second.
"Don't sit in the back, move forward because I'm not your driver."
