TSURUNE: KAZEMAI KOUKOU KYUUDOUBU YABAI - FUJIWARA NO AI (FUJIWARA'S LOVE)
Prologue: Koi

Tsurune, the sound produced from the bowstring right after the arrows were released from his bow, was well conveyed by the wind to the ears of the listeners gracefully.

"The Young Prince is indeed the best" Hanamura Akane said smilingly at the appearance of his best friend.

Young Prince, a nickname given to Fujiwara Shuu. A half-Japanese genius child with unraveling brown hair on the forehead with large, shiny purple eyes. A person who likes to be aloof and calm, but is relatively polite to the people he meets. He rarely speaks unless necessary and is the calm type of person. Fujiwara Shuu proved to be very competitive, and rather straightforward in voicing his feelings. Fujiwara Shuu also had a terrifying aura around him.

"So it was really cool Shuu, I wanted to do it too" Akane said excitedly.

"Thank you" he said with a faint smile. "I'll teach you later."

"really?"

"Hm" he said. "Akane, do you really think that I did my best just now?" Shuu asked, bowing his gaze.

"What's Shuu?" Ask Akane back. It's not usually Shuu looks like this.

"I feel that I should improve my Kyudoku abilities, Akane. I felt that if I continued like this, I would be left behind by Minato and the others" he explained without looking at Akane. His violet netra stared at the path he was going through.

"We can't be satisfied first, but I think Shuu has done his best, you are great. But if Shuu said that, why not just ask Saionji-sensei?" obviously Akane gave advice. Shuu is indeed a competitive person, he will achieve all abilities so as not to be left behind by his friends. He was also never satisfied with his abilities and achievements.

"I've asked him but sensei said the same thing as you. Sensei said that my techniques and abilities were very good but still I felt that there was something lacking" he explained.

"Oiya Shuu, can I study with you again today? My English really is no longer helpful. Very bad." Clearly Akane smiled smirk.

"It seems like your problem was never finished before" Shuu smiled.

"sorry. I don't know why either, but my brain doesn't want to accept the slightest bit of English. There seems to be no capacity left for storing memories regarding English."

Slowly Shuu's smile expands on her calm face.

"Aren't you just lazy to remember English lessons?" Shuu asked with a smile.

"of course. Besides our houses are opposite, you just go in."

"If that's not possible, I'll be considered a thief."

"You'll be up" Shuu smiled.

Activities such as playing, telling stories, going to and from school together, learning together, supporting each other, have been an unmissable daily life for Shuu and Akane since they were children.

Their personalities are inversely proportional, making both of them filling and complementing each other. Quiet and non-talking Shuu can dampen Akane's excessive spirit and Akane's always optimistic and open attitude makes Shuu open and not keep his problems alone.

"Shuu, your face is so stiff. What are you thinking?" Ask Akane.

"Akane, what do you think of love?" Shuu's sudden question shocked Akane and stopped her steps. It had never been imagined before if Shuu could say such a classic. Akane doesn't even believe Shuu is interested in romance.

"S-shuu's? What's wrong with you?"

"What's wrong? Did I say it wrong?" Shuu asked with her calm face.

"N-no, it's not like that. I was just surprised, I didn't expect Shuu to be able to say something like this" Akane explained. He was really shocked to hear the word love from Shuu.

"Today I visited Yata Temple as an intermediary between Kazemai's trainers, Takigawa Masaki-san and Sase-senpai. There Takigawa-san says that in order to improve Kyudoku's abilities, I need love" she explained with a calm face. Her violet mane sparkled, staring into Akane's eyes as if she wanted to get the answer she expected.

"W-ah, love? Etto.sorry Shuu, I can't satisfy your curiosity because I never felt it either" Akane explained smiling awkwardly. True, neither Akane nor Shuu himself had ever felt the thing that Shuu meant earlier. 

"Ano, love is that, right? Like each other or something, right?" Ask Akane hesitates.

"I don't know. Takigawa-san says that we don't need rhymes or excuses when we feel in love."

"Don't need a reason? Like the old man?"

"The love meant by Takigawa-san is different from the love for parents."

Akane was confused again. Although Shuu said that to Akane, but actually he also did not know and did not understand.

"Hm, what's it like to help a stray cat?"

"That's right" Akane replied smiling. "Hmm. This is difficult. Did that Takigawa Masaki-san not tell you what he meant?"

"He just said that I was far from the core of Kyudo because I didn't understand love. I never felt it" explained Shuu who returned to make Akane confused.

"Huh? It's really harder than English. Looks like we have to find the 'love' that coach Kazemai is referring to" Akane explained confusedly. His brain worked hard thinking about the 'love' that coach Kazemai was referring to. 

"Shuu, after all, is love for someone the same as love for Kyudo?"

"I don't know."

Akane fell silent. His mind sank, trying to find out deeper into his memories all along. Who knows if his brain knows anything about love.

"Sorry, I'm causing you confusion" Shuu said, staring at Akane.

"No problem Shuu, I'm also curious now. Shuu, what if you love someone, you can also love Kyudo with the same feeling?" Ask Akane back. He really did not understand the meaning of Takigawa-san's words to Shuu.

"Hm, see you Shuu" Akane smiled.
