The Late News

After dinner Ghavi returned to the capital with Harry.

The man had a job there for three days.

"Mas Harry's getting busy now, yeah."

Ghavi opened the conversation as the car started to exit the main road of Jogja city.

"Well, that's it! Since you decided to retire, I am obliged to continue his business. That's why I have to be smart for the time between campus and the plantation" Harry replied, staying focused on driving.

"Actually the plantation has been taken over by Mas Handy. But since ..."

Harry did not continue his sentence. He felt a sense of speechlessness.

"Since what?!"

Ghavi was curious.

"Ah, it's nothing!"

Harry berkilah's.

" Why?"

Ghavi was curious. He believes his hearing is still good.

"Are you okay to hear my story later? Aren't you the one who asked me not to talk about things related to him anymore?!"

"Yahoo!!"

Ghavi breathed a heavy sigh.

"Four years have passed. Maybe it's time to look to the future. Even if I can be honest, there is still a bit of pain left here" Ghavi said, pointing to his own chest.

"Vi, I'm sorry, if I meddle with this. But, isn't there another word 'sorry' for my brother?" ask Harry carefully.

"Eitherway! It feels too hard to do. Even though I've tried."

"If I may give advice, make peace with the situation. Please forgive my brother! He also regretted all his actions. Moreover, he has been getting his karma since ..."

Harry's words are broken again.

"Since what, Mom? You always stop finishing that sentence. What's the matter? Since what?"

Ghavi shook Harry's left arm while driving.

" Are you sure you want to hear that?!"

Harry looked at Ghavi doubtfully.

"Say, what's up?!"

Ghavi kept pushing.

" Yes, you're right, Mom! Maybe it's time I made peace with the situation now" he said.

"OK! If you're sure you want to know all about him for four years. But we'll find a place to talk and rest."

Harry drove his car at a slowing speed when he met the rest area not far ahead.

Parked his car in front of a coffee shop complete with a variety of fried-fry.

"I ordered coffee first, yeah. What do you want to order?"

They had just entered a coffee shop that was designed today.

"I'm ginger milk and hot fresh tea if there is one."

"OK! You wait here for a minute!"

Harry headed straight to the mini bar to request orders. Ghavi dropped his body under a small gazebo near the entrance of the store, which is also next to the park's rest area.

"Sorry long! I'll order you all that fried food."

Harry came with the waiter behind him carrying a tray filled with orders.

"Thank you, Mum!"

The servant nodded and immediately left them.

"Aow!! It's so hot" Ghavi choked as he sipped his corn milk.

"Haha ...! Slow down, it's still hot."

Harry laughed at Ghavi, who had his tongue burned in hot water.

" Tell me now!"

Ghavi starts to open talks.

" Help .. fiuuhh!!"

"You know, didn't you, when you were asked to come by your father and mother to the Thanksgiving ceremony four years ago, a month before we flew to Ausie?!"

"Yes, why?"

Ghavi grabbed a fried banana in front of Harry and chewed it.

"The goal was held thanksgiving because Mas Handi and Mbak Vika had just married in Kalimantan a week earlier."

"Yes, I know!"

"You remember when Mas Handy met you after the show?!"

"Yes!"

Ghavi remembered. Recalling the moment Handy apologized and asked her to be patient waiting for her divorce from Vika after the birth of their child.

"That night my brother left and did not come home. Until we say goodbye back to Jogja in the morning, he's not home yet."

Harry sipped his coffee, then continued his story.

" Mr Vika was angry because she was left alone at home, while her father and mother did not pay much attention to her. Had there been no grandchildren, they wouldn't have cared about him."

"Unfortunately due to being too emotional, Vika has stomach cramps and has bleeding. Father and mother eventually took him to a nearby clinic as a form of responsibility. Mas Handy was also called by his father to go home immediately even though he initially refused. From then on, for the sake of his flesh and blood Mas Handy softened. For almost eight months he was forced to obey all his wife's will and live at the home of Mbak Vika's parents who he just bought in the Prambanan area. But, once Mbak Vika gave birth, Mas Handy immediately dropped the talaq. Vika felt he did not accept. Moreover, it was triggered because ..."

Harry sipped his coffee back up the toilet.

Harry also told the beginning of the tragedy that hit his brother.

Yep. After two months of Vika giving birth, Handy dropped the talaq. Handy wanted to fulfill her father's request and also fulfill his promise to the late Grandpa Umar to marry Ghavi after the girl turned twenty years old.

And the month after his son's birth was the month that Ghavi was twenty years old.

Handy intends to follow Ghavi to Australia to marry him soon. However, the plan was apparently known by Vika who turned out to secretly spy on Handy through her household assistant who had been paid handsomely by Vika.

The housekeeper tells Vika that Handy will leave Australia to pick up Ghavi.

Vika who feels vengeful because of her love is no longer welcome since she left him first for the sake of marrying the rich man chosen by the papa, especially her second husband now has the heart to divorce her for the sake of other women. For that, Vika tells people to damage the car that will take Handy to the airport.

Car accidents are inevitable. Handy's car experiences a brake blong and eventually crashes into a container truck from the opposite direction.

The front body of the car squashed the body of the truck and resulted in the bodies of Handy and Aswan, the assistant who was acting as a driver also squashed.

Aswan died at the scene, while Handy who was rescued by residents suffered paralysis because her knee was crushed due to the squashed body of the truck.

Vika, known later as the cause of the accident, was finally jailed after two witnesses, namely the domestic assistant as his informant and the mechanic who was told to break the car brakes, were presented in a trial that incriminated his sentence.

Eventually child custody fell into Handy's hands. Because Handy is sick and is in treatment, the child is taken care of by Handy's parents and Harry as temporary guardians.

Three years later Handy decided to babysit her own child with the help of a baby sitter. He also decided to stay in the capital, in order to eliminate the trauma he experienced.

Actually Handy's parents forbid it for the good of him and the child remembers the condition that does not allow to care for their grandchildren.

Handy was adamant about her decision to move to the capital and hoped to get her happiness there.

Ghavi heard Harry's story. Body shaken. His shoulders were up from crying. He really did not expect that the fate of his former fiancee would be as tragic as that.

For four years Ghavi deliberately missed the news about the life of Handy and his wife.

The girl asked everyone closest to her not to discuss or mention the life of the person who had made her disappointed and hurt.

Ghavi really did not think that the news he passed was bad news that befell the former.

"Ja-so, now Mas Handy lives in Jakarta?!" tanyanya.

"Yes!"

Harry nodded.

" It was a year ago that he settled there. I heard her daughter was also put into Kanak-Kanak Park. Although he was only three and a half years old, but he was a smart and independent child. He was also fluent in speech, unlike his age who usually still slurred because he was not fluent in calling letters."

"Daughter?!"

Ghavi is shocked to hear that Handy's son is a princess.

For some reason, suddenly came across a sweet little girl with sharp eyes that she met some time ago when the Star accidentally hit her.

"You've done well, haven't you?! Let's continue the journey.

Harry broke his daydream.

"Ah, yes. Come on!"

Ghavi followed Harry to where his car was parked. Both of them continued their journey.

Maybe because the stomach is full after drinking a glass of ginger milk and half fresh tea and two slices of bananas, or indeed because tired of crying hear the story of Harry, Ghavi finally fell asleep, and finally, he was not happy, Let Harry who was driving stay up all alone.

In order to prevent drowsiness that returned whack, Harry accidentally turned on the music from the audio of his car.

Around five o'clock in the morning, they arrived at their destination.
