37. Coloring race day
"This is an important day, why father and mother have not come" muttered in Alena's heart in annoyance.
Alena kept waiting for her parents with her face bent, she stood in front of her school along with her guidance counselor, and there was Desta and her mother. It's 07:49. And soon it was his schedule to leave.
"Hw.uh.. Father and mother when to come." complaints that he can not bear anymore.
"Sabar Alena, your father and mother will surely be coming soon" said Kevin who just came while stroking his head.
"Yes Alena, they love you so much, wait a minute" said Desta's mother.
Sure enough, Kai's car approached the gate that had been in the future by his daughter and also Desta and his mother. Several teachers, including Kevin, were waiting for him.
"Sorry for our delay" Kai said.
"It's okay, Mr. Kai, we should go immediately" said the guidance teacher Alena and Desta.
"Desta's kids and mom are in our car, you're in front of us to direct us" Kai said, agreeing with race guidance teacher and Kevin.
During the trip, Alena and Desta always play together and sing children's songs until the race building is held.
They immediately go down and park the vehicle in a place that has been provided. After filling out the attendance form, they were directed to directly enter the room.
"Mother.we go inside ya." said plain Alena.
"Dear baby, the spirit. Moch.."
Fleva kissed the chewy cheeks of Alena and also Desta alternately. They turned to Desta's mother.
"Tante, pray for us." Alena told Desta's mother.
"Of course, you can."
Desta's mother hugs her son and Alena. Now they turn to Kai. Alena and Desta were silent, Kai crouched down to equalize his height with the two boys in front of him.
"You need not doubt. Win or lose, it is the final choice. You just have to enjoy the process. This is your first experience in the race. You guys should be excited. Understood?"
Alena and Desta nodded and immediately embraced. Don't forget to leave a kiss on Kai's cheek. Alena is on her right and Desta is on her left. Alena and Desta laughed and immediately left her to follow her sheep guide. Kai was fixated, but still looks cool in front of people.
Without speaking again, they were directed at a special room for parents. They are placed in the dining room, and there is a large television that displays the activities of children in the competition room. They sit and enjoy the dishes served occasionally see the big screen.
"I'll excuse you to go to the bathroom." said Flova.
"Mother Flova, please allow me to come along. I also want to go to the bathroom."
Flova nodded and left the dining table. Only Kai and Kevin are left at the table.
"It seems, you are very liked by children. Especially with Alena. He really likes you." said Kevin while enjoying a cupcake served specifically for them.
"Because I'm special to him. It was like seeing a father inside me. Or maybe it's just like his father, I don't know. Most importantly, she's happy."
"But you're happy too, aren't you? You married Flova out of love or just on Alena's basis? Or maybe for something else?" kevin thought that was almost right.
"I'm happy, so don't worry."
Kai gulped down the red syrup on his desk. Before long, Flova and Desta's mother return to the table.
Mother Desta had only seen her right-hand like a confused person looking for something.
"Mother Desta, what's wrong?" ask Flova.
"Why are our other dishes? I know, we're the people who are respected, but still, for a meal like this it doesn't taste so right."
"You don't have to worry. I knew this would be a rumor. I've prepared everything." said Kai casually as he looked at the screen that was pointing at a child.
Looking faintly, Alena was seen behind her seriously coloring with her tiny hands that had started to shake.
Kevin counts down after Kai stops talking, and the same cupcakes and drinks are served all over the table.
"You're doing this?" flova asked in shock as the servants in the building flocked to serve cupcakes for each table.
"Hallo brother-in-law, this is all thanks to me.."
Nehra suddenly appeared just like that from amidst the crowd. However, the people he greeted just stared at him flatly. With no answer, Nehra sits between Kai and Kevin.
"You rich people always play a role in every drama well." Kevin said.
"Sorry Mr Kevin Aprilio Stone, aren't you from the same group as us?" asked Kai with a slanted smile.
"Ck. You must be investigating me until you know my last name." Kevin also drank the syrup served because of nervousness.
"It's exactly as you thought. I know everything. Company D manages the hospitality business in the field of lodging. And.."
"Enough.no need to talk about everything."
"As you wish."
Fleva gaped at all Kai's very detailed words about Kevin.
"You recognize her identity so well, even I, as her childhood friend, didn't know she had the Stone clan behind her name" Flova said in amazement.
"Look, our son is on the screen." Kai patted Flova's shoulder.
Instantly Flova looked at the screen in awe, looking at the picture of her extremely beautiful daughter. Alena draws like in a forest, there are carrion flowers, birds of paradise, komodo, and, the Indonesian flag that is attached to the stone and the bond of batik cloth on a tree is so visible and worked carefully.
"Wait, Kai said our son?" his mind was worried by Kai ''s words, but soon he sat down and looked back at the screen.
"Well, Alena's picture is amazing." praise Desta's mom.
Flova just smiled and nodded. The screen now shows a picture of Desta. Mother Desta smiled happily to see her son describing an island that features Borobudur temple, and Krakatau mountain to his right.
Below the two images are a dividing line showing many marine life such as leatherback turtles and coral reefs and some small fish that he describes in them.
"It seems, the theme of this race is about Indonesia" said Flova.
"Well, the picture of the two kids is amazing. They will be the champions. I didn't know Alena could be that good" Nehra said.
"Hm.it's a descendant of his mother. And, his intelligence was inherited from his father. I've seen him a lot, but I've always been amazed by what he's doing" Flova said as she looked at her son on the big screen.
"Sister-in-law, it seems like you are not from an ordinary person. Why don't you use the bloodline?"
Flova pensively for a moment. "Hm.. You mean? I don't have any clan because I'm from a simple family."
"Didn't your parents own the company? Don't you remember?" ask Nehra again.
Flova gritted her forehead in confusion and shook her head. And, suddenly, Flova grimaced as her head felt pain.
"Flova." said Kai and Kevin together.
"Well, don't talk anymore. You okay, Flova ?" ask Kai to worry.
"I'm fine." replied Flova.
"It hurts every will remember the past. I just remember Kevin was my best friend, but I didn't know he had a surname. Some of my memories are gone, too."
Flova was pensive while remembering the dream about the accident that befell her brother and herself.
"Oh yeah, it's definitely not a dream. I'm involved in it. Otherwise, why would I have been in the hospital 5 years ago? Why didn't I think of it before? I'll start to find out about my past." said Flova from her heart.
