42. "Away awake?"

Flova grabbed Kai and put him to sleep in his bed. He was about to leave, but Kai reflexively held onto Flova's hand.

At a glance the soft shadow of a hand amidst the cold temperature flashed across his head. He looked towards Kai who was still closing his eyes, but his hand tightly grasped Flova's hand.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm so limp, stay here for a moment."

Flova awkwardly sat down beside him. Kai again put his head on Flova's shoulder with his eyes half closed. Flova's heart was pounding. Sitting down, Flova tries to secure herself to lean on Kai's head slowly. His tired body, also makes himself sleepy to fall asleep next to Kai.

Alena who was outside Kai's room smiled. He took out the phone that his father gave him as a gift when he won the title. He typed something in a flat object he was holding and smiled to see his parents sleeping with each other. Alena also stole the moment with her phone.

Flova woke up from her sleep. He blinked his eyes and looked around. He who realized he had fallen asleep immediately woke up and sat on Kai's bed confused.

"Away awake?"

A familiar voice made Flova directly look at the source of the voice. The person who had just taken a shower and had dressed neatly with wet hair was standing in front of the mirror and was none other than Kai.

"Ee. I'm sorry I fell asleep. I'm gonna take a shower."

Flova immediately got up and was about to go to her room. However, a word that came out of Kai's mouth made him pause for a moment.

"Thank you."

Just that word alone, but it made Flova fixated in its place. He looked at Kai doubtfully and nodded. He went into his room and closed the door.

"Huh.huh... What exactly is going on? Why does my heart keep beating fast every time Kai looks at me? And , what's wrong with what he just said?"

A few words from Kai made Flova misbehave, but she immediately regained consciousness and brushed it off.

"No. no. No, you can't drop a heart like this. Come on Flova, stay professional with your role as a contract wife here.."

Fleva then just took his towel and decided to soak to calm his soul and body that is very tired due to activities all day.

After he had taken a shower, he went to Alena's room and saw her doing chores. Flova approached him and stroked his head.

"Mothers need help?" ask Flova.

"That mother, this is easy." Alena replied with a sweet smile.

"Oiya mother, two months is Alena's birthday. Alena wants a special bread made directly from the mother's hand. Can you please, Bun?"

Flova was stunned for a moment and immediately smiled stiffly while nodding, and stroking Alena's hair.

"Yes, continue yes. Mommy will bring Alena a snack, let Alena not be bored."

Alena nodded and let Flova do as she pleased. However, in front of the door was Kai who brought a glass of milk and some biscuits in the tray he was holding.

"I brought this snack to Alena."

"Oh. thanks."

Fleva was about to take the tray Kai was holding. However, Kai pulled it back.

"No need, let me. You go back to your room, and continue your thesis that you haven't had time to do."

Flova nodded and chose to leave the room. Kai takes over and approaches Alena who is studying at her desk.

Fleva returned to his room and immediately opened his laptop because sure enough he was almost forgotten with a very important task that he had to complete.

He paused for dinner, after which he returned to work on the script until evening. Kai who saw from his room there was still light on the sidelines of the curtain that was slightly open from Flova's room immediately examined it.

Kai just turned on the AC in Flova's room. While Flova just keep looking at the laptop that lights up in front of him while copying the words he had written in his book.

"Continue tomorrow, you must rest."

"I need a minute, you just go out, don't disturb my concentration right now."

"As far as you are. Most importantly, don't be too late."

Flova nodded without even looking at it. Kai let out a long sigh and came back out of Flova's room. Kai also accidentally opened the curtains slightly to be seen from the side of his room.

Almost three hours passed. Kai, who was enjoying his time before bed by reading a magazine, glanced at the room Flova was still burning. He looked at the wall clock in his room which indicated it was almost midnight.

He got up from his seat and shifted the door of Flova's room. Instantly, he felt a chill in the room. He remembered that Flova was afraid of the cold, he rushed to him, and had already found all over Flova's cold body.

"Help me." he said with his eyes closed.

Kai tried to shut down the AC, but it didn't work. He carried Flova's body and took her to his room. He immediately put Flova to sleep and covered Flova's body.

He also reduced the temperature of his AC in his room. He was about to go out to get some warm water, but Flova continued to hold his hand.

"Don't go." he said softly.

Kai slowly decided to lie down next to him. Fleva continued to be agitated as he still felt cold. Kai got closer and hugged the shivering body of Fleva.

"I don't think the AC inside is so cold, but why is he shivering like this? What makes Flova like this?"

Flova blinked her eyes while looking at the still blurry object in front of her. Until he realized he was sleeping while hugging Kai. He could only widen his eyes and try to distance himself from Kai. Get off the bed slowly and go into his room.

"Don't come in! I haven't called a handyman to fix the AC inside."

Fleva slowly looked back and slightly chuckled. He slowly stepped back and sat back on the bed.

"Why am I here?" ask Flova.

"The AC inside is broken, why didn't you tell me?" asked Kai with a heavy voice.

"I didn't pay much attention. But the point is thank you. Then, how do I pick up the clothes inside later?"

Kai opened his closet and put a jacket on Flova's shoulder. He also held a scarf around his neck from behind.

"I don't need this."

Fleva looked at Kai with his innocent face. Kai just saw it as usual.

"It's okay."

Flova stood up and opened the door of her room hesitantly. Kai who understands then helps him to open the room and enter first to his room.

"Come in, I'll stay here."

Flova nodded and slowly walked into her room. He also quickly picked up the clothes he was going to wear and a towel for him to take a bath. After bringing his needs, they came back out. Flova put down her clothes, and took off the scarf and jacket that was worn on her body.

"Thank you very much. I'm deeply indebted."

"This is my reply because you also took care of me yesterday. No need to think you owe me."

Flova just nodded and then just went inside the bathroom to clean herself up.
