72. "All right, we're ending our relationship now!"
Kai didn't come home last night and chose to keep himself busy in his office. Nehra was also confused by him, as he was suddenly ordered to be his secretary for one day.
Suddenly, a stranger entered Kai's room. She is Joanna, Kai's mother. Nehra looked at Kai and Joanna in turn. Kai's mother hinted for Nehra to get out of the room, and soon, he walked out.
"How's Flova doing?" ask the mother.
"Looks like he's good." Kai replied without looking at him.
"I know you're no good, but you better..."
Kai did not look at her, but his ears continued to listen to Joanna's words. Joanna, who knows Kai who is not interested in his words, immediately pulls out a brown envelope on Kai's desk.
"What's this?" kai asked confused while looking at it.
"You don't know about Flova. Every past he's been through, his life, his journey, everything is in this file. Mama's in a hurry, mama's going to go right away."
"Wait a minute." bans Kai.
Joanna was silent. Kai just stared at the confused envelope he was holding at the moment. Out of curiosity, Kai opened the envelope.
How shocked he was when he saw the photos about Flova's past. There was a picture of him when he was a kid. And, what attracted attention there was a photo where when he was with Danur and his father's colleagues seemed to stand in front of a factory. There was a little boy who was no stranger to him, because he was Flova. What caught the attention next here was Nuan who looked very familiar with Flova's father.
He saw a photo where there was Danur and a woman holding a beautiful little baby. His eyes widened in disbelief to see the photo, especially the baby in his carrier. She is Alena.
"Kai remember now? What happened 5 years ago?" joanna asked, folding both hands.
"W-how is that possible?" he said he didn't believe.
"Yes Kai, they were the victims of an accident 5 years ago. It was medically noted that Flova had amnesia. Flova's parents deliberately cover up her family's identity so that no one can trace her whereabouts. She was the daughter of a famous businessman back then and you probably remember that because you were a teenager."
Kai just listened while reading all the paper in the envelope.
"Kai, your existence will make Flova slump again with her past. You definitely don't want him to feel sad about his accident 5 years ago, do you? That's why you don't agree with her, because you'll feel sorry for her if she remembers her past."
Kai just silently tried to keep looking at the photo he was holding.
"You definitely don't want to see Flova slump again, do you? Maybe, you couldn't save her brother. But, you can still protect her from her slump by a long distance. Just think about how much pain he has when he remembers what happened 5 years ago, don't you feel sorry for him?"
Kai started to think and nodded his head. He confirmed the words of his mother. However, his heart could not lie that he could not get away from him because he loved him very much. But, on the other hand, his mental health is more to be considered.
"So, you mean I should stay away from her, right?"
Joanna nodded. Kai immediately limp heard it. He could only massage the base of his nose. Joanna held both hands.
"Love must not have. Every now and then, that love must be relinquished in order for him to remain happy. Love cannot be forced, but a painful memory will continue to linger in his heart. So think about it."
Joanna immediately left Kai's room. He himself just kept staring at one photo of a child who was none other than Flova.
"Right, I'll just invite him to open the dark gates of his past. I will only make him fall down someday, especially he often dreamed about the accident. And, should I stay away from her?" thought.
Kai's mind was instantly confused. He is confused about his position now. Where she loves Flova so much, but she will only bring Flova into the world of her dark past.

Fleva decides to come to Kai's office at Alena's request. Flova knocked on the door politely and went straight inside. Kai only glanced at her for a moment and refocused on the file that was in front of him.
"Dad.." said Alena.
Nehra, who knew that Flova had come, stood up from her place. Alena happily approached Kai while running.
"Don't run. Play in the playroom." said Kai coldly.
"Dad, I made you lunch. Alena misses me so Alena brought her here" said Alena.
"alright. Alena can play in the playroom. Nehra, take Alena. I'll talk to Flova."
Nehra nodded and held Alena's hand. Alena smiled and followed his orders immediately.
"Dad, don't be mad at you." shouted for a moment before he walked out of Kai's room.
"What's Kai?" ask Flova.
Kai closed the file and showed me a seat in front of him. Flova sat there confused.
"I'm not going to mince words here. From tomorrow on, you don't have to work here anymore. You don't have to come here anymore. And, our contract will expire in 49 days according to your request."
Like being struck by lightning in broad daylight, Flova was shocked and believed what she was talking about.
"You mean? You want to end our relationship now? It's only been two days, are you sane."
Kai nodded as if he was joking. Of course it makes Flova upset for him.
"All right, we're ending our relationship now! I will continue the contract until it ends!"
Fleva just walked out of Kai's room. Kai could only sigh long. He also held his chest that felt tight and painful.
"Is this how it feels to be heartbroken? I know he's hurt a lot, but my pain is not worth the pain you faced 5 years ago. I'm sorry Flova." she said softly.
Fleva kept running out of Kai's room. He forgot everything, because what he felt right now was just an excruciating pain in his heart.
He continued to run until he reached a bridge not far from Kai's office. He cried while holding his chest.
"YOU'RE EVIL KAI! YOU SHOULDN'T BE PLAYING ME LIKE THIS!" scream it over there.
"I shouldn't have fallen in love so quickly with you.. I shouldn't have believed all your sweet talk.. I'm very, very disappointed now."
He turned his back and stopped a taxi. He went straight to a bar.

Kevin was worried. Not because he could not go home or about his pets in the shelter, what he thought was Flova. Go to the bar to calm his mind.
He was so surprised, when he saw Flova was drinking almost 3 bottles. He was drunk and alone there. Directly, Kevin approached her and supported her already staggering body.
"Flova? Fleva ?" kevin panicked.
"Hahah.you." he said drunk.
"All men are evil.. They have no heart. Get out of here you're Kai Balang Pradipta!" continued.
"You're drunk, we better get home."
Flova rebelled in a drunken manner while being carried by Kevin.
"I don't want to go home. Take me to Steffa's house."
"Yes at least you stood up.."
Kevin also held Flova. Take him out of the crowded bar even during the day.
