Flashback 2 weeks ago.
From a distance, there was a figure of a woman standing next to a new tomb. His hair seemed to flutter in the wind that was quite strong that afternoon, a sign of a storm later that night. He had been standing for hours, but there seemed no intention of getting out of place even as the raindrops began to fall.
The woman just stared at the scene below. In front of him are 3 identical tombs lined up, signifying that they have relatives. The woman who brought a bouquet of fresh flowers still did not decide where to put the flowers. He closed his eyes and looked up at the sky, letting the rain that began to pound slap and wet his face and body. All he had in mind was one: Should he catch up with all of them?

Hearing the open door of the apartment, Chris immediately went out of his room and headed for the front room. It's been a few days since Lina came home late, and Chris started to worry about her. His wife always came home with a crumpled face and dark circles in her eyes, but every time Chris asked, she never got a satisfactory answer. Chris knew his wife was lying to him, but did not know how to extract information from him. Her relationship with Rina was indeed unlike any other couple from the start.
Chris saw his wife enter with the same face as in previous days, even today her lips look blue as they are cold. His skin looked pale and slightly wrinkled, like he had been soaking in water for hours. Observing his wife's appearance, he noticed that his hair was wet but his clothes were dry.
"You're rained?" Unknowingly Chris asked.
Lina only glanced at her husband a glance before stepping towards her room.
Not like being ignored, automatically Chris immediately holds the upper arm of Rina to stop his wife from entering the room.
"Rina!"
Chris's sudden touch made Lina's body stiffen instantly and without wanting, making her body tremble uncontrollably. The wife's unexpected reaction, made Chris hurriedly release the grip of his hand. He also took several steps back to make his wife feel less threatened.
After seeing his trembling reduced, Chris apologized to his wife.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."
Rina who also did not expect the reaction of her body, could only nod in silence. She also appears to be stroking her former upper arm held by her husband. Seemed trying to eliminate invisible traces that made him afraid.
Feeling that the time was not right, Chris decided to postpone the thing he wanted to talk about until tomorrow morning.
"There's something I want to talk about. Do you have time in the morning before you go to the office?"
Rina is actually taking a sabbatical, especially since her father got worse and finally had to go home. So, of course tomorrow the time is very free. And he had already decided what steps he should take regarding his marriage to Chris. It just so happened that her husband wanted to talk to her too. He felt the sooner the problem with Chris was solved, it would be easier for him to decide his life later, especially when there was nothing that bound them anymore.
"of course. We'll talk tomorrow."
After that, he went into his room without looking.
The next morning, Chris had inhaled the smell of cooking from the dining room and this made his stomach rumble. Although he did not want to admit it, he actually missed his wife's cooking. For a few days now, Rina has never cooked again which makes Chris have to bite his finger every time he goes home. He turned down dinner invites from his business partner at some expensive restaurants, only to go home and enjoy his wife's cooking.
The view on the dining table makes Chris' heart beat fast without him knowing why. Lina looks like she is arranging food on the table with an apron covering her shirt. The clothes his wife wore were ordinary, but somehow Rina looked beautiful in Chris' eyes. His wife's face looks happy with a bright hue, unlike the night before. Stunned by what he was seeing, Chris stopped his steps and just looked at his wife.
"Chris?"
"Girl!"
The 2nd call of Rina who was a little loud made Chris wake up from his daydream and went straight to the dining table to sit with the wrong behavior. His heart was still pounding uncontrollably as he watched his wife take food for herself. How much he missed this the last few days. Seeing his plate full of side dishes that he liked, making Chris' cheeks slightly flushed happily. His body seemed to be more honest than his brain, that he was used to his wife's presence.
Chris always ate his cooking with greed and as much as possible wash the dishes used for his own meal. He never even complained about his wife's style of dress when they came to visit his mother's house, even though Rina was not wearing the clothes that Chris had bought. Chris comments at the beginning of their marriage, make Rina so wonder how serious her husband's opinion about her appearance because this was never revealed again. Which of course from small things like this made Rina's eyes become closed with her assumption, that her husband liked her.
Smiling full of irony, Lina lowered her head and stirred up the food on her plate. After realizing the truth, of course, Lina did not dare to think about her husband. His current heart was already quite wounded and he did not want to add to it by repeating his stupidity again and again. Plus her current self is a kara, making Rina have to be stronger to face life. He does not want to fall into trouble marriage that actually already has a clear end.
"Hm... Bo-, can I add it?"
Chris's hesitant and unexpected question, made Rina look up her face. It was the first time he had seen Chris's innocent-looking, child-like face. I don't know why this makes Rina feel moved, because without having to say even her husband turned out to like her cooking. Finally he got the answer to his question all along, and this made Rina want to cry happily. Trying to control her heart, Rina also serves her husband back with a flowery feeling. Just this time she felt she could play the role of a real wife for her husband.
After breakfast, they finally sit back face to face and will only start talking when Chris' phone suddenly goes off. Got an unexpected distraction upset Chris and intended to turn off his phone, but stopped when he saw the name of the caller.
Not happy, Chris asked his wife for permission to answer the phone.
"I'm sorry, I have to answer that."
Seeing that it must be something important made Lina nod her head.
Patiently, he watched as Chris looked away to receive the call. Currently, Rina was trying to record as many figures as her husband could. Her eyes seemed unblinking, trying to absorb the shadow of her husband standing behind her. He may not have another chance to meet Chris in the future.
When her husband returned to the dining room, his countenance looked cloudy. Chris took a breath before explaining to his wife.
"It seems like our conversation should be postponed first. Right now there's an urgent matter, and I need to get to the office. Rich's downstairs, waiting."
Rina took the initiative to get Chris' briefcase lying on the middle sofa, something she had never done before. Receiving a bag from his wife, Chris smiled faintly. He felt his heart suddenly warm up to receive the unusual treatment of his wife. With hesitation, his wife handed him something that looked like a food box. Chris accepted it with wondering eyes.
As Chris exits the apartment door and prepares for the elevator, Lina suddenly holds Chris' arm to stop her husband.
"Schris."
Chris stopped and turned to look at his wife.
Although Chris was already standing in front of her, but Rina still did not want to release her grip from her husband's hand. For a moment Rina seemed glued to the grip of her hand on Chris' wrist. This was the first time she had touched her husband. Her tiny fingers wrapped around her husband's wrists. The heat of Chris' skin that began to feel absorbed into his palm slowly, made Lina realize that she had really touched her husband.
"Schris."
While looking down, Lina recited her husband's name like a mantra and only then raised her head to look at him.
"Chris, I agreed to your divorce request. I'll sign it."
Rina's words sounded steady as she said them and after that, she let go of her husband's hand. He was sure of his decision.
Chris' head felt empty hearing the statement of his wife who was like lightning in broad daylight. She did not expect that Rina would say that she wanted to divorce in this way. Moreover, they had just had a nice breakfast together for the first time. Chris' lips felt faint and his heart began to hammer. He didn't know what to react to. Not wanting to say or do something he would regret, Chris could only say coldly.
"Let's talk again."
Chris left his wife without even hearing the answer. When he was in the elevator, he saw that his wife was still standing at the door of their apartment and looked at him. Until the elevator doors closed, Chris realized that his wife still remained faithful staring at his disappearance. He never thought that it was the last time he would see the figure of the wife.
