Chapter 7 We are divorced

Zaki had thought carefully about divorcing Lara and taking custody of her son. It's a mutual agreement. He's already paid Lara billions to give him offspring and marry her contract.

And if divorced, Lara would have to leave her home and leave Al with her.

"Lara, what if we end our deal sooner than we should" Zaki said as he finished his dinner at their home.

"What's? But why?"

Zaki couldn't tell if he already knew Lara's heart.

"Because I think all this is enough. You can be free to marry the man you love" Zaki stared at Lara.

"Why is it suddenly like this?" Looks like Lara objected to ending this deal. Because if it's over, he has no reason to meet Zaki again or Al. He should stay away from his family.

"One Week to prepare. Let me take care of everything" Zaki said and left Lara glued to the dinner table in deep shock.

So, I'm really heartbroken. It hurts more than a toothache. I'm going to the doctor and then I'm taking medicine. But a broken heart, where should I go to heal it?

Zaki went to see Irene at the bar. There they sat side by side and talked.

"Irene, it looks like I'm getting a divorce with lara,"

"Divorce? Why suddenly?"

"Because I want him to be free and be able to go to the guy he likes" Zaki said.

"Did he like someone? Ohh, then you should take it off...."

"Yes.he will go to the man he likes." said Zaki smiling wryly. She knows who Lara likes, but she chooses to keep in her heart what she knows.

They sit there for a long time until night, Zaki comes home after delivering Irene. Irene's husband is out of town, which is why she's free to date late into the night.

"Good night." said Zaki and left Irene's house.

When she returned, she was shocked that Lara was still sitting motionless from the dining table where they had been sitting together.

"Lara..have you not slept?" ask Zaki while turning on the lights.

"Why is dark like this? You're afraid I'm gonna cut your pay because of this electricity?"

Lara just shut up. Just the corner of his eyes was a wet mark as if he had just cried.

Zaki became awry to see him like this.

"God! If it's late you better go to your room? Why wait for me? I told you it's up to me whether I'm going home or not. Why didn't you hear my words?"

"You're right. My heart doesn't want to hear anyone. Even I talked to him, he's still stubborn!" Lara said with empty eyes and a flat face.

"What's? Anyway I don't want to see you sitting in the middle of the night in this room anymore. You should go to your room after dinner. Youunderstand. Or I won't pay you if you don't obey me!" Zaki spoke with a bit of anger to cover up his misguided attitude.

"I want to stay here. I don't want to end our deal until I'm ready to actually leave,"

"What's? I don't ask your opinion, here I decide everything," Zaki is getting annoyed at him.

"I beg you.." Lara suddenly fell at her feet. His love blinded him.

"God! Release my legs! Are you out of your mind or what? I release you and pay you even if the contract ends halfway. You should be happy because I'm kind to you, "Zaki's losing control of his patience.

"You can't pay me. But let me stay here like before. We don't have to get divorced." said Lara pleading and her head bowed to the floor.

Zaki was silent with an irregular breath. Lara's attitude is clear Zaki knows why. Because Lara loves herself. And Zaki can't repay Lara's love. And his attitude becomes rude in order for Lara to stop loving him and hate him.

"I really want to be your life partner. Spend every moment with you. This contract marriage, to me as real," lirih Lara in a stifled cry. Zaki had already been to his room, he did not hear his expression of it.

Zaki entered his room and closed the door very rudely.

Braaakk!

He then pulled the bed sheet and threw it away. His anger he vented on the pillow and bed linen.

Right now, his mind was extremely chaotic. He doesn't know how else to behave?

If divorced, it would be the biggest scandal this month. Her marriage suddenly ran aground, then Irene would definitely be the months of reporters. And a honeymoon undertaken for the diversion of the issue would be futile.

"Why are you so stupid!"

Zaki is upset that Lara has made all her plans fail.

If he gets divorced, then Zaki and Irene also can't meet as often as they used to. Her status as a widower, her contract marriage, will affect Irene as well. The public will condemn him. The careers of the two women would be ruined in the blink of an eye.

In the morning Zaki came downstairs after taking a shower and dressed neatly. He saw a dining table full of freshly made dishes. Lara makes all that cooking, for her love is doing her best for the person she loves. Either reply or not.

Zaki actually really wanted to eat all that. The food looks so delicious. But right now, he was trying to keep his distance from Lara.

"You're leaving, breakfast first. I made all your favorite foods." said Lara with a sweat on her forehead.

Zaki held his breath for a moment and turned to Lara.

"I'm not hungry. You just eat, I'll go right away" Zaki said without saying much as usual.

Lara was fixated with her attitude that kept going step by step trying to get away from her.

"But...."

Zaki had already started the car and left quickly.

Lara opened the hood and looked at the food she had made.

"What's all this for? Who could eat this much?" he felt that all the food was untouched.

He then remembered the CEO. And today there's a schedule to meet her in the morning.

So he put all that food in the bushel and would eat with the CEO in his office.

"If not eaten soon it will be redundant. And if it's eaten in the afternoon, the taste will change...."

Lara then goes to see the CEO after she takes a quick shower and dresses up thinly.
