Chapter 2 Raymond

"Raymond let's play here with the other kids!" The teacher waved his hand at Raymond who was reading a book.

"No, ma. I don't like to play. I'd rather read the encyclopedia." The teacher named Heni approached Raymond and looked at the book the little boy had read.

Seeing the small and heavy writing made Heni's head a little sore. He did not think Raymond could read.

"So Raymond can read? That's grand. But not for the first time should read about the picture story alone?"

"Master, this isn't the first time. I've read picture books but they're not fun because they're too childish."

Heni gasped in shock at Raymond's words. "What age are you? Are you only 5 years old? If a 5-year-old reading a picture book is childish, is the 5-year-old reading the encyclopedia normal?" Inner Heni.

Raymond's two eyeballs were so adorable as he looked at Bu Heni. He could only sigh and let Raymond read the book. Some of his efforts were made so that Raymond could play with the other child but the little boy remained silent and read the book in his seat.

After Lusiana's work was done, she immediately drove her car to pick up Raymond. Tk Cahaya Gemilang is the school where Raymond began to learn about social life.

Luciana opened the classroom door and saw Raymond who was originally sitting at the table running towards her. "Eh slowly his running will fall." Raymond immediately scattered himself into Luciana's embrace.

"Mama." Her warm gaze and longing for her mother were clearly visible in Luciana's eyes. Luciana smiled gently and stroked Raymond's cheeks that felt chewy.

Luciana crouched down to equalize her height with Raymond. "What is Raymond doing?" Tanya Luciana was curious.

"Mama, me and the others are making origami. Lookie! I made roses for my mom." Raymond's little hand that had been in the back was hiding the roses he had made using origami paper.

Lusiana's heart warmed and she smiled happily as she accepted Raymond's gift. "It's so beautiful. Thank you, Raymond." Raymond smiled brightly, a smile that he rarely showed people. That smile was only for her mother.

Mrs Heni approached Luciana and Raymond returned to his seat to continue making origami. Some of Raymond's friends were amazed that origami was made in various forms such as birds, planes, stars, flowers and others. And only Raymond can do all that.

Bu Heni and Luciana sat side by side and started a conversation. After questioning Raymond's situation, Mrs Heni began a more serious conversation. "Mom Luciana, it seems like Raymond was a genius. He could already outperform all the subjects than his other friends."

"I'm also amazed because he's been able to read and count. Looks like Raymond could go on to enter elementary school next year. " Lusiana had suspected before that Raymond was not like a child in general. He's too smart.

But actually, Luciana did not care if her son was a genius or not that important Raymond grew up to be a happy child.

"Just Raymond was less able to get along with his friend. Compared to playing with friends, Raymond prefers to read encyclopedia books. He also said that picture books were too childish for him."

Luciana immediately called Raymond and advised him to play with his classmates. "Mama, Raymond wasn't unwilling to play but their game was boring."

"Wait a minute, where can you play chess?" Raymond looked embarrassed and replied he learned via the internet. There are computers in the hospital. When Raymond was treated there and Luciana wasn't there he would access the computer and play a lot of games.

"Your mom won't be mad, will she?" Raymond's watery eyes made Luciana just sigh and said, "other times it shouldn't take long to play computer. Mama didn't forbid Raymond if you spoke frankly. But playing the computer for a long time will damage the eyes. Youunderstand?"

Raymond nodded weakly. Luciana then asked Ms. Heni for permission for Raymond to come home early because she wanted to take him to the doctor for an examination.

Bu Heni escorted to the front of the class because he had to watch over other students. He saw Raymond who was so cheerful and spoiled when there was Luciana. Different when her mother is not there. In class she doesn't talk much except other friends who greet her. Raymond also found it difficult to get along with other children because they had different thoughts.

Luciana and Raymond arrive at Kasayana hospital. They soon see a heart specialist who is a friend of Luciana's. The name of the handsome man and having a sweet smile was Aryasatya.

"Raymond, don't be tired. Don't exercise too hard." Raymond nodded enthusiastically especially as he received the chocolate bar from Doctor Arya.

"Lusiana there are some things I want to say but.." Aryan's doctor looked at Raymond and looked at him a little pity.

Luciana understood and brought Raymond a waiting room in front. "Raymond, remember yes, don't go anywhere. Mama's only gonna talk to Arya's doctor for a few minutes. Wait here, will you?"

Raymond nodded obediently and said, "Yes mama." Luciana went back into the doctor's room and heard the explanation from Arya.

"Lusiana, you have to give approval for Raymond's surgery. 3 more months Doctor Cahyadi will return to Indonesia with several cardiologists. They could've operated on Raymond."

Luciana asked, "This time what percentage of success for surgery? Would it be the same as you said back then?" Lusiana's face was anxious and started to look pale.

Luciana placed her hands on the table and clasped tightly in anxiety. To calm Susiana in front of him Arya held onto Luciana's hand. It made Luciana slightly startled and pulled her hand. He was somewhat uncomfortable with Arya's treatment. Arya's face was also a bit awkward.

"You take it easy, according to Doctor Cahyadi, the success of this surgery can reach 75%." Luciana felt more relaxed after hearing Arya's words. Previously the percentage of success of the operation was only 30%. Of course Lusiana would not take such a low risk. He could have lost the only child he had.

He also decided to sign a letter of approval for the operation to be carried out in 3 months. "There's still 3 months. I hope Raymond doesn't have another heart attack. However, I did not have the heart to see Raymond suffer" he said.

Which mother could have seen her child fall ill with various tubes that enter her mouth and veins. If you remember that moment, Luciana felt like she had fallen into a deep abyss. For the first time, Raymond had a heart attack.

How can such a small child endure suffering?

Every day should take the medicine regularly. Can't play ball with his friends. Can't run around like a kid in general. Luciana hopes the surgery will be done soon so that Raymond can live a normal life like other children.

Luciana came out of the room with Doctor Arya and looked in the waiting room there was no Raymond. Luciana's face panicked, they went around the hospital looking for Raymond.
