Win Systems

Win Systems
Chapters 10

There were no lights in the cemetery. Jay squinted his eyes to sharpen his sense of sight. A shadow twitched behind the tombstone.

Jay's nape bristles. His two trembling legs pushed the ground to rewind the body sitting on the damp ground. Until his back hit the stone grave.

Jay tried to get up by resting on the stone grave stone. However, his eyes remained focused on the rustling sound from the direction of the black shadow earlier.

"Well!" Jay screeched restrained.

A head cupped from behind the tombstone. Jay almost fainted. The contents in his bladder also nearly exploded. Fortunately, he did not wet his pants.

"Sorry ... I .. I make you .. fear." The man is still as excited.

"I'm not afraid! I'm just surprised!"

Jay fumbled his left chest. Making sure his heart is still beating.

[New information is fed into the system. Jay Wijaya is afraid of ghosts.]

'Shut up! I told you, I'm just shocked! If you were human, you would have fainted, Sis!'

[Targets have been found.]

"Once again, I'm sorry" Fahmi said as he walked over to Jay.

Fahmi helps Jay stand up and clean his pants. Despite the darkness, Jay could still see Fahmi's face from such a close distance.

'Really, he's Fahmi. He looks so fucked up. What's with him to curse me? Time just fired until it wants to kill me?'

"Yes ... In exchange for surprising me, please take me out of this place. I'm lost."

Fahmi rubbed his wet face. "Come ..."

Jay approached Fahmi. Once again, Jay asserts to himself that he is not afraid. He was just slightly goosebumps and unwilling to stumble in the darkness.

"The lights here are dead since last week. I've met people who forget their way out a few times" Fahmi said.

"Multiple times? Meaning, you come here all night?"

"I come every day. Sometimes from morning to evening, or from evening to night."

"The gravekeeper's father here?"

"No. I'm a visitor too."

"Oh ... Pilgrimage to Jay Wijaya's tomb that I shouted, huh?" fishing Jay.

"No, Mas. He's my former boss. I'm waiting for my son's grave."

Jay's eyes widened, he just found out. Fahmi sometimes takes his son to his house. He also greeted the boy several times.

"His son has died long ago?"

"Just three weeks ago. And the name of the man I mentioned earlier who killed my son." Fahmi's voice shook with the cries.

Jay was stunned for a moment. 'What else is this?'

"Kill out? If your son is killed, you should report him to the police station."

"can't. He didn't kill my son directly."

"A murder plotting the point? Do you need help with reporting at the police station? I can help you right now."

Jay actually doesn't accept being accused of killing people. His chest rumbled withstanding anger.

"Thank you, but no need. It wasn't just that guy who killed my son."

"There's another killer?" ask Jay for astonishment.

"I'm one of them. I was also guilty of not daring to defy orders while still an employee of that person. If only I had asked permission to go home and take my son to the hospital, my son would still be alive today."

Jay's memory goes back a few weeks. He remembered very well how the chronology of Fahmi's dismissal used to be.

Fahmi was his personal chauffeur for many years and rarely made mistakes. You could say, that day was the unlucky day of the two of them.

Jay who hastily set out to meet important clients from abroad is very impatient to wait for the arrival of Fahmi who brought his car. Jay called Fahmi repeatedly, but there was no response. In fact, he had to meet two important clients at once at that time.

Fahmi arrived almost half an hour later. Jay is angry, but can still forgive. Because Fahmi is usually never late. And he also did not have much time to nag his subordinates.

"May I go out for a moment, sir? I have a sudden need. Ten minutes, sir," asked Fahmi when they reached the restaurant parking lot where Jay and his client had met.

"Can't! You get paid to take me anywhere. After all, it's still your working hours. After this, I also have to meet another important client."

Two hours passed. Jay was still laughing inside with his client inside the restaurant. On the other hand, Fahmi is increasingly restless because he left his sick child at home alone.

Because Jay did not come out, Fahmi secretly took Jay's car and went home. When he opened the front door, the five-year-old boy whose mother had been dead since birth was drowned on the floor.

Fahmi took his son to the hospital. Although she knew that her son was no longer breathing, her heart stopped beating.

"I'm so sorry, sir," said the doctor who examined her son.

Fahmi's world is collapsing. The only child left by his late wife is gone. He roared in front of his son's body.

In fact, Fahmi forgot to go back to his job. There were also dozens of calls from Jay Wijaya.

Eventually, Jay was late to meet the second client and the hundreds of billions he was supposed to have, simply disappeared. There's no way Jay's not pissed.

Jay fires Fahmi as soon as his car is delivered home. Without hearing Fahmi's explanation.

Had Jay not died and got into Winardi's body, he would never have known what his former driver was going through. And it was caused by Jay Wijaya's indifference to something or someone that was useless to him.

'For not giving permission ten minutes, I lost hundreds of billions. But, she lost her son.'

"What Father ..." Jay's voice stuck in the throat "... hate the boss of the Father so much?"

Fahmy did not answer. He lowered his head and observed the footsteps of the two of them slowing down even more.

"I hate .. but I also hate myself for not being around when my son needs me."

"Do you want to forgive him?"

"I'm .. I can't right now."

Jay stopped his steps. Fahmi stopped and looked at Jay in confusion.

"What's up, Mom? Want to split up here? You know the way home, right?"

Since Jay did not respond, Fahmi said again, "I'm sorry if I talk too much."

Jay completely ignored Fahmi's remarks. His mind was filled with complicated thoughts.

"Father need not regret what happened. Now, you must rise up and avenge Jay Wijaya's deeds."

"I don't understand ..."

"I'll help you get back to JW Corp. Incidentally, I have an insider connection in that company."

"How did you know I work at JW Corp?"

"Who doesn't know Jay Wijaya, sir? All men want to be as successful as he is, including me."

"Oh, so. I don't want to see Jay Wijaya anymore. Thanks for the offer."

"Then, are you going to keep waiting at the grave of your son, while Jay does not know what you are going through because of his actions? You just want to curse him without doing anything?"

Jay continued his remark, "Father can reply Jay Wijaya when you are close to him. Find his weakness and drop him." Jay patted Fahmi's shoulder. "The decision is in your hands. Come to the office tomorrow morning. And ... I'm sorry for losing you."

Jay leaves Fahmi still frozen in place. Apparently, Fahmi was contemplating Jay's words earlier.

***

Jay stared at the ceiling in his room. His mind was still wandering everywhere. He could no longer care less about what he had experienced.

"Sis, answer my question honestly."

[Please ask.]

"What is your real purpose? Why did you choose me to play this stupid game?"

[Win System is designed to make clients rich with little effort from completing missions. We are looking for clients at random and by chance our system finds the existence of your soul that still wants to live in the world.]

"Tch! Don't underestimate me, Sis. You think I'm stupid?" Jay laughed insultingly. "Well, I'll find out for myself if you don't want to answer honestly. Turns out, the system can lie, too."

[The system only processes data from the server and provides information to the client. No less and no more.]

"Hahaha, well, Miss Liar. What happened to the original Winardi?"

[From the system data mentioned, Jay Wijaya does not care about the affairs of people around him. Do you really want to know?]

"Yes, I want to know. Say it now ..."
