Zara For Pramudya

Zara For Pramudya
Anarghya and Zara

Zara Inpatient Room

"Zara.." call Anarghya slowly.

Zara hurriedly wiped her tears and smiled towards Anarghya. "Please go see Arga's doctor."

Anarghya went inside while checking the monitor screen beside Zara's bed. "Your heart's falling apart, Zara..."

"I... Emotions.." replied Zara.

Anarghya then checked everything completely including his tension because if it is too high, must delay giving antibiotics.

"Zara, can I talk to you?"

"Okay, if you're gonna defend your niece, I'm sorry. I don't want to hear anything about Mr. Pramudya Hadiyanto's family."

"Zara, I know you feel that the world is collapsing with all the loss you're going through. But Pramudya did not want that. Pramudya wouldn't have thought it would be like this..."

"If I don't meet with Mr. Pram, if I don't agree about the contract, if I... " Zara turned her face. "It's all just 'if' but it's all happened... We can't turn back time..."

"All you can do is move on" Anarghya said. "I told you a story." The man took a chair and sat down next to Zara. "I have a great-grandfather named Nabila Pratomo. When she was in High School, she learned there was a tumor in her uterus and had to be removed because it tended to be aggressive. At that time Oma Nabila was still in high school...."

Zara gawking. "That young man has no womb?"

Anarghya. "And Oma Nabila is ready if she will not marry because not all men want to marry women who cannot have children, right?"

Zara nodded. "Then what happened?"

"Oma Nabila is a surgeon, just like me, met a fellow surgeon named Mike Cahill. Well actually met accidentally because Oma Nabila helped Mike's doctor's father who was shot. The two of them ended up dating and married and Opa Mike did not mind if they did not have children because they were both builders moved - moved as part of Doctors Without Border." (Read Just The Way You Are ).

"What are doctors without Borders?" ask Zara.

"One of the ways doctors apply their knowledge to various conflict countries or countries that need health workers after a natural disaster, war or pandemic. They don't see from which country because the core of their mission is to provide treatment to people in need."

Zara nodded.

"The bottom line is you still have healthy ovaries, a healthy uterus... I'm sure there's a guy like Opa Mike Cahill who loves... The open minded that not having children is not a disaster...You can have kids, Zara... God willing..." Anarghya stared softly at Zara. "Oma Nabila doesn't have a womb but she's very positive about living, you can."

Zara looked pensive at Anarghya's words. "Like... What's... Oma Nabila?"

The surgeon took his cell phone and showed a picture of Nabila and Mike.

"Oma Nabila's... Beautiful.." Zara's smile. "His face looked happy ..."

"Because Oma Nabila always thinks positive... So the aura is good. Everything needs a process, Zara. But it would be nice for you to take a lesson from Oma Nabila. Be positive and believe me, God has arranged all this and will give happiness to His people ..."

Anarghya patted Zara's head gently. "You need time.... Because this just happened... Talking is easy indeed, living it is difficult... Sure you can get through Zara."

Zara looked up. "Do you believe it Doc?"

"I believe it, Zara."

Pramudya looked pensive in the cafeteria while Oma Angela looked at her granddaughter with a concerned face. They both know how hurt Zara is who arguably lost almost everything.

"Pram..."

She looked at Oma Angela. "Omm... Am I a fucking carrier?"

Oma Angela was shocked. "Who said it?"

"Zara's."

Oma Angela holds Pramudya's hand. "Darling, you're not an unlucky carrier... It's just that the situation is not favorable for you. We know that Zara has to vent all her emotions?"

"Stay with Oma... Zara says I'm Jinx..." Pramudya.

Oma Angela sighed. "If Oma says this is the predestined message that has been outlined, it sounds cliche but it is the reality. We have all been written since the age of four months in the womb. You're this old, both of your parents died. You met Zara, it's written as well. Yesterday's event, it already exists. Want to say suppose, for example, if but if God has outlined... What are we gonna say..."

"I'm so sad Oma..." Pramudya covered his face with both hands.

"Zara is much sadder. Your task now is, to fulfill the request of the late Grandma Aisyah while you are in the house where you hid them both. Didn't you promise to protect Zara? That's Pram's will" said Oma Angela.

"I'm afraid that Zara will reject me..."

"Give him time but you... Don't be a saggy lover to keep seeing her and help her heal..."

Pramudya looked at Oma Angela "I'll try Oma..."
