"Rican! Back off! "
Kaira reflexively calls Rico, and orders him to retreat.
It wasn't without reason. Kaira did that to save him.
Rico who did not understand the situation was confused, but he did not argue and immediately retreated exactly as Kaira ordered.
A second later, an explosion appeared right on the ground where Rico had stood before. The explosion was powerful, but not so powerful that the shock wave it generated did not affect Rico and the others at all.
Even so, such an explosion was enough to crush humans into disgusting meat pulp.
"Whatis that? "
Thanks to his analytical skills, Rico managed to identify the explosion as a timely danger, so he was not late in responding to Kaira's warning.
"I don't know. But, I guess that was the trap that was meant in the message earlier," replied Kaira.
Rico began to check his memories, and found warnings about the many traps set up in this place.
But, just with that information alone could not be enough. If there really was a trap planted around this place, then they would have to take that as a serious matter.
After all, most of them did not have a good resistance to traps. So maybe they'll die right away when they touch that trap.
"Alan, can you take care of all those traps? "
Kaira turned to Alan, who was eventually responded to by a simple sleigh.
"My ability is to disarm the enemy, and not to destroy traps. So that's impossible. But, I might be able to help by checking the positions of all those traps."
With regards to the abilities that Alan possessed, it was an ability that was truly useful in a fight against someone whose main strength lay in the weapons he used.
《Dissarmament》, that was the name of the skill Alan possessed. Function as described. It can disarm all the weapons and fighting gear used by its enemy.
Naturally, such an ability was useless in this kind of situation.
Even so, Alan had another advantage that made the lack of the skill a commensurate payment.
"Okay, let's do it."
Alan put his palm to the ground, and began to close his eyes.
A certain amount of magic energy flowed through his hands, and began to gather right in his palms.
Shortly after, a low-frequency sound wave began to be emitted by his palm, and it instantly roamed the ground.
The specific points where the sound waves stopped were the places where all the traps were laid.
(One, two, and .. There are too many .. )
Alan raised his hand, and stood up. "I think it's the kind of trap that gets active when it gets a hard touch from its top, and also .. There are too many traps in this place. We won't have time to destroy everything."
"In that case, we just need to destroy the ones blocking the path. Anzu, Werli, can you do it? "
Kaira turned her head, and immediately got a reply in the form of a small nod from them.
Anzu immediately threw a few marbles to the point that Alan had marked, and triggered all the traps embedded there. Instantly, numerous explosions began to spring up from the point touched by his marbles.
Each of the traps was active with just a touch of a marble. That was enough to prove just how terrifying of a sensitivity all those traps had.
Meanwhile, it was Werli who also got the role to get rid of the remaining traps …
Werli lifted up, and then casually swung his arm, creating a gust of wind so strong that it blew away all the sand and dust covering the ground.
It did not take long until finally the sand and dust that crashed began to gather at certain points, then clumped until finally hardened into a solid footing.
Werli created the foothold using all the sand and dust that was around him, and set it right at the point where all the traps had been eliminated by Anzu before.
By doing so, they would have a place to stand, without having to worry about touching the remaining traps.
"Let's hurry."
Kaira immediately ran over, and passed through all the footings that Werli had made. Behind him, Rico followed by holding Lilith who was still unconscious.
They all ran along the route Noelle had told them before, making sure no traps were accidentally activated.
Soon, they finally arrived at a crossroads that were filled with shelves and boxes of wood that had no idea what they contained.
Some of the metal cargo appeared to have opened, and had the inside completely empty. Rico assumed that the enemy must have kept a lot of valuables there.
"What is .. Golem? "
Liscia casually threw a small knife towards the golem who was working on transporting goods.
The knife he threw was easily pierced, and destroyed the red crystal that became the golem's main power source. When the source of energy he used to work was destroyed, the golem instantly fell down helplessly, letting the many wooden boxes he carried in his hands scatter on the floor.
Kaira and Liscia nodded at each other, then ran over to the golem.
"This place should have been abandoned. But, why are there still golems working? "
That's the question that's in everyone's head now. It is only natural that they are astonished. They quite understood the workings of the golems, so they naturally felt a strangeness here.
Based on the way it worked and its energy source, the golem was supposed to be a golem created for logistical purposes. In short, the golem maid.
The energy capacity is not very large. So, the crystal that is the source of its power must be replenished every once in a while.
When they saw that the golem was still working, it meant one thing. The enemy has not long left this place. That was the only conclusion that made the most sense to them.
It was indeed possible that the prisoners were giving energy to the golem. But, what's the point? They are just tools assigned to fight. They are nothing more than bait that only acts as a time traveler.
"Hows it? "
Rico walked up to Kaira and Liscia, and watched the golem.
There are absolutely no scratches there. The only physical damage that was on the golem's body was the remains of the crystal that Liscia had destroyed using her knife.
"Nothing strange. It's just an ordinary worker golem" Kaira replied.
He then stood up, and watched his surroundings.
At first, he assumed that the golem would have a bomb in it. But, it seemed that it was a futile worry as the golem did not have any trace of dangerous modification. A simple worker golem.
" … Let's go ahead."
Right after Kaira said that, the wall on the west side instantly shattered, and made all of them reflexively turn around with a high degree of vigilance.
Keira had mounted the horses with his spear, and was ready to attack at any time. However, his pose instantly collapsed when he saw the figure coming out of the hole in the wall.
"Normany! "
It was Norman, who coughed hard enough while fanning his surroundings, making all the dust that was present instantly crash away.
"Can't you slow down? That's pretty awful."
With a breath of breath, Norman turned around and looked at the figure who was the perpetrator of the wall.
It was Noelle, who wielded a long sword with a unique color pattern between black and white.
"This is the best way to break through. Or do you want to walk down a road filled with annoying traps? "
" … I thank you for your concern" Norman said, bowing to Noelle.
The scene was seen by everyone, and made them instantly confused.
What are Noelle and Norman doing in this place? That's what they want to ask.
Norman and his group will indeed be with Noelle on this mission, but they should be at a considerable distance from the location of Kaira and Rico.
"Hey, what are you doing? "
Kaira tried to ask, and was immediately greeted with an astonished look from Norman.
"Why are you two together here? "
'You guys' Norman meant Kaira and Rico, along with his group. Supposedly, Kaira and Rico were in opposite directions, and could not have ended up on the same route before reaching the core of the building.
Rico came forward and intended to explain, but he stopped immediately as Noelle moved to look around him.
His gaze was then fixed on the golem whose core crystal had been destroyed by Liscia before.
"Did you destroy it? "
Liscia nodded, and made Noelle refocus on the golem.
He then walked over to her, and inspected each part of the golem closely.
"The activation time of this golem has not been long enough. Does that mean the enemy left this place recently? "
It seemed that Noelle had the same suspicions as them. Rico nodded, agreeing.
"That's the only answer that makes sense."
Noelle sighed, and inserted the golem into her spatial storage. The reason was of course, because he wanted the meterial that was the golem making material.
Even if viewed based on his appearance alone, everyone could clearly tell that the golem was not made of ordinary stone or metal. It seemed that it was a special metal that also became the basic material for the construction of this place.
"Can I ask you one thing? "
" … What is it? "
Rico was looking at him. The Lilith she was still carrying in her hand seemed to be motionless, and had yet to recover her consciousness, so Rico could not just move around.
Norman and the others could clearly feel the heightened tension around them. However, they did nothing to stop him. It was because they had a premonition that what Noelle would talk to them about next, would be very important.
"Are you guys .. Meeting some people, and fighting with them? "
Rico's eyes immediately narrowed, he confirmed his face, and looked at Noelle with amcaman.
"If the answer is yes, what will you do? "
" … I see, yes."
Noelle nodded, then turned around. He then continued. "Did they explode? "
" … From the way you say it .. Can I assume that you're facing them too? "
"certain."
From this, Rico had no other choice but to answer Noelle honestly.
"Yes." Yeah."
"Oh, yeah."
Noelle did not continue her words, and immediately walked away.
Everyone looked at him in bewilderment, unaware of the mysterious smile forming on his face.
