Chapter 8 - Meeting with the Protector

After returning the light to the Land of the Disputant, Jason and Maya are satisfied with their achievements. They also feel stronger and wiser after going through various thrilling adventures. However, they still felt that there was something that had yet to be fully revealed about the Land of the Disputant and the Stone of Light.

One night, while they were sitting under the stars, a strange light suddenly appeared that radiated from the Light Stone. The light formed an alluring image, showing a mysterious figure surrounded by an aura of golden light.

"Who is that?" jason asked in astonishment.

Maya held tightly to the Light Stone and said, "I feel that this figure is the protector of the Light Stone."

The figure smiled gently, "You're right, I am the protector of the Light Stone. I have watched your adventures in the Land of the Antichrist and seen how you with courage and a sincere heart have faced trials."

"The Protector, can you tell us more about the Light Stone and the Land of the Disputant?" ask Jason.

The patron replied, "The Rock of Light is a magical object that is believed by the natives of the Land of Antah Berdangah as a source of light and life. However, the Light Stone also had great strength and was dangerous if it fell into the wrong hands."

"The "Stone of Light connects with the spiritual energy underlying the Land of the Antichrist, and only those with a sincere heart and good intentions can control and use it wisely. Unfortunately, there are many who seek the Stone of Light for evil purposes, and this is why this land was once threatened by darkness."

"We want to protect the Light Stone and keep it from falling into the wrong hands" Maya said.

"Why were we chosen for this task?" ask Jason sincerely.

The patron smiled, "You were chosen because of your sincere heart and your incredible courage. You are brave adventurers and have a strong determination to bring peace and wisdom to the world."

"But we are just ordinary people" Maya said.

"Truly, courage and wisdom are in every human being, only that not everyone is aware of it. You two have proven that you are the precious holder of the Light Stone" said the protector.

With renewed vigor, Jason and Maya declare their determination to continue their duties as Light Stones holders and protect the Land of the Disputant from the threat of darkness. The protector gave them some pointers on how to use the Light Stone wisely and gave wise advice for their next trip.

After an inspiring encounter with the protector, Jason and Maya feel increasingly confident about their mission. They decided to deepen their knowledge of the Land of the Antichrist and look for more clues about the whereabouts of other treasures that might be hidden in the land.

Their journey no longer focused solely on finding treasure, but also on understanding the wisdom and wonders of the Land of the Disputant. They learn from the natives, explore hidden locations, and continue to develop their abilities as dodgy and feisty adventurers.
