She turned towards the door. His body stiffened instantly upon seeing who was standing in the doorway.
"Amanda!" pekik.
Amanda stared at the husband with a difficult look. There was a sense of disappointment, annoyance, and anger mixed into one in his heart.
Alma who saw that, immediately approached. Amanda held up her hand. He gave the code so Alma wouldn't come near.
"Please close the door from the outside!" Amanda said without looking back.
"But, Mom---"
Amanda turned her head and stared intently at Alma. "Accomplish my orders. Close the door from the outside and no one can come in before I get out of this room" he said.
Alma had no other choice. He obeyed Amanda's words. The girl nodded her head and immediately closed the door of Bara's room.
"Hopefully nothing happens" Alma said.
"Quiet down. Ms. Amanda is not a bar-bar type of woman" said Ferdy.
Alma looked in wonder at Ferdy. "Do you know much about Amanda's mom?" alma.
Ferdy was a little surprised to hear that question from Alma. "Yes, yeah that's it! I've been working with Ms. Amanda and Mr. Bara for a long time. So a little bit I know about them" Ferdy explained.
Alma mangosteen heard Ferdy's explanation.
"Back work again!" take Ferdy.
Alma nodded her head. Then he walked away from the room.
Meanwhile, Mia who had just arrived before lunch did not escape Destyan's interrogation. The girl handed over her duty of guarding the booth to Andi. He chose to talk to Mia.
Destyan looked at her companion and best friend with a probing look. His eyes looked at Mia from top to bottom.
Mia looked uncomfortable when being stared at like that by Destyan.
"It's normal to see!" mia protest.
Destyan ignored the words of her friend. He still looked at Mia with a sharp look.
"Why all night? It's almost half a day late?" ask Destyan.
Mia looked nervous upon hearing Destyan's question. But he tried to cover up his nervousness.
"Not going anywhere. I came from Alma's house straight home. Just don't go anywhere anymore" he replied.
Destyan smiled in oblique fashion. "Don't lie! Who did you meet last night?" ask Destyan.
Mia's getting nervous. He didn't expect that Destyan would ask him that.
"Elo end the same--"
Mia put her index finger in front of her mouth. Give the code so that Destyan shrinks her voice. He didn't want anyone to hear their conversation right now.
"Why? What are you hiding from me and Alma?" Destyan urged Mia to be honest.
Mia had no other choice. He had to speak the truth or Destyan would not let go of him at this time.
"But don't tell Alma. Let me tell him myself" asked Mia.
Destyan frowned. But a second later he nodded in agreement. He promised not to tell Alma about this.
Mia breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the nod of Destyan's head. Then slide a story out of Mia's mouth. A story that Destyan or someone else might not be able to believe.
"Gue's been close to him for a long time, Des. But only now there is courage for more than just friends" said Mia.
"Why can't Alma know about this? He's also our friend. He would be so happy to hear this good news!" ask Destyan.
"Why should I be ashamed? Kan elo dating same guy single. Not the same guy's husband, is it?" cut the Destyan quickly.
Mia fell silent. He could not answer a simple question that came from the mouth of his friend.
"Yes, if you don't want to tell me why. But you should know, we both always support whatever your decision," said Destyan finally.
Mia smiling. He knew Destyan wouldn't press him. He will understand everything whatever his circumstances.
...****************...
The sun is in the western horizon. The orange squirt looks so pretty this afternoon.
Alma seemed to rush out of the building where she worked.
"Hurry up, Al?" reprimand Ferdy.
"Eh, Mr. Ferdy. Yes. I was picked up" replied Alma. A sweet smile was clearly drawn on his face.
"Oh! Not with Mr Bara?" said Ferdy again.
Alma turned her head while frowning. Where did the young man know that he often went home with Bara.
"Not to be surprised. Everyone in the office knows it too. You often go home with Mr. Bara," he said. It was as if he knew what was on Alma's mind.
"Don't misunderstand me. I accept the invitation to go home together as a form of gratitude Mr. Bara. Because I completed the task well" said Alma.
Ferdy smiled obliquely. "Oh yeah? Not for any other reason? Like--"
"Please don't spread cheap gossip in the office. Because I and Mr. Bara have nothing to do. Our relationship is limited to his superiors and secretaries. Not more than that!" Alma cut off Ferdy's words that he considered outrageous.
"I reiterate once again. My relationship with Mr. Bara is only limited to superiors and secretaries. Not more!" emphatically.
After saying so, Alma immediately passed away from in front of Ferdy. Leaving the young man with his guilt.
Meanwhile outside the office, Garland had been waiting for him patiently. He sat on his bike while playing his phone.
"Hi! It's been a long time!" Alma patted the lover's shoulder gently. A smile was on his face.
Garland was shocked. He looked back. His smile was clearly drawn when he saw the lover standing behind him.
"We're going home now?" ask Garland.
Alma nodded her head. "Eh but stop by to buy boba first?"
Garland rattled the lover's hair in a fit of anxiety. "By dong, honey. What the hell is not for you" he said.
"Buy martabak can too?" ask Alma.
Garland smiled and nodded. "Well, I can" replied Garland.
Alma smiled at the lover's words. He then put on his helmet and immediately climbed into Garland's splat.
"Is he ready?" ask Garland when Alma is in her arms.
Alma nodded her head. "Udah!" answer Alma.
Garland smiled. He then took the bike slowly. Leaving the parking lot of the multi-storey building.
After Alma and Garland died, a young man and a woman came out of the building.
"Keep close to him and find out his relationship with Bara. Don't let her go before you know everything!" said the woman.
"Quiet down. I'll definitely find out everything. Not to mention his relationship with Bara. About the genealogy of his family I will find out, too" he replied.
The woman smiled cynically. Then without saying anything he walked to his car parked in front of the building.
