"Sorry Mr Rehan, why did Mr Rehan let your son undergo the sanctions?" Asked Mr. Sulaiman shortly after Mr. RT and his entourage left his residence.
"Why is that Mr. Leman?" Not her answer, Rehan asked back.
"We are just ordinary people sir, and our family does not deserve to be with the family of Mr. Rehan," replied Mr. Sulaiman, "our degrees are much different, sir," he continued.
Rehan smiled, "isn't what distinguishes us in God's eyes the faith of Mr Leman? If we are faithful, and obedient to Him. That means our degrees are the same, right?" Rehan replies by asking the question, "rich or poor, it is only about gratitude. And not a few people who live mediocre but feel enough, it's because the person is good at being grateful." Is that right, Mr. Leman?"
Mr. Sulaiman nodded, the father of Salma was increasingly amazed by the figure of Rehan, although Rehan was a company owner and famous rich, but he still wanted to hang out with school guards like himself.
Yes, when Rehan drove Mirza to school, the boss of RPA Group often took his time to just chat and mince words with Mr. Sulaiman and his colleagues.
"Son, sorry daddy. Because daddy forced Mr. Leman to prevent you from leaving his house, you and Salma got into trouble." Rehan said to his son, shortly after they all fell silent.
"It's okay dad, it's with this incident.. Kevin knows that Salma also likes Kevin." Kevin replies with a happy smile, "so Kevin thought, Kevin's love clapped one hand, so Kevin did not have the courage to express Kevin's feelings to Salma," continued while glancing at Salma who was also stealing a glance at her.
"Oh, so mommy's son has been in love with Salma for a long time?" Tanya Nabila to her son, while smiling seductively to the son.
"I don't know also mom, which Kevin obviously feels comfortable when close to Salma," Kevin replied as he glanced at Salma.
"If Salma is alone, what? Love isn't the same as aunt's son?" Tanya Nabila glanced at the beautiful hijab girl whom Kevin had often invited to play at the main house with other Kevin friends.
Salma blushed in embarrassment, and lowered her gaze.
Salma could only nod, with a face that had been blushing withstanding embarrassment.
"Mom, why ask like that? Look at the face of our future daughter-in-law who is flushed red, because of mommy's question just now" Rehan said as he glanced at Salma.
While Widya's mother who had just been silent to hear, felt grateful because her daughter was loved by a good and responsible man like Kevin, she said, and being a daughter-in-law in a good family like daddy Rehan and mommy Nabila.
For a moment, silence greeted the living room in the modest residence of Mr. Sulaiman.
"Son Kevin, you take care of him, please take care of him, and do not hurt him. Because we love Salma so much," pinta pak Sulaiman stared at Kevin's blue netra, breaking the silence.
Kevin nodded steadily, "God willing Kevin will take good care of Salma sir," Kevin replied earnestly.
"Well, Mr. Leman, because it's midnight. We beg you to say goodbye, God willing as I promised you, my family and I will come back here tomorrow night to propose to Salma." Pamit Rehan glanced at her son.
"Son, do you want to go home or stay? If you stay, it means you have to be ready if tomorrow you are led to KUA," asked Rehan while chuckling, teasing his eldest son.
Kevin smiled wryly and scratched his non-itchy nape.
Rehan soon got up, which was followed by Nabila and Kevin. They leave the Salma residence with one car, while Kevin's car is left in Salma's yard.
Along the way, no one spoke. Each is preoccupied with his own thoughts, including Kevin who still keeps asking why not Papi Vincent who takes care of him?
"Dad," call Kevin who's sitting next to his daddy.
"Kevin apologized, because he was disappointed and angry with daddy," said Kevin felt guilty.
Rehan shook his head with a smile, his left hand gently ruffling Kevin's head. "Daddy understands how you feel, son, that's why we wait until you're old enough to understand everything." Reply Rehan patted Kevin's shoulder gently.
Silence returned to say hello until a while later.
"Dad, why isn't Papi Vincent taking care of Kevin? Why daddy?" Kevin repeated the question.
Rehan was silent, for quite a long time.
"Why dad?" Again Kevin asked, because after a while waiting.the daddy never gave an answer.
Nabila who sits behind himself, just be a loyal listener.
"If it's about that, let Papi Vincent himself say it tomorrow huh?" Reply Rehan asked his son to be patient.
Kevin nodded, though inwardly dissatisfied with the father's answer.
Not long after, the car that Rehan drove turned towards the main gate of the house. Rehan immediately parked his car in the yard, and the three of them immediately got out of the car to get into the house.
They walked into the house, "son," called Nabila before Kevin climbed the stairs to his room on the second floor.
"Yes mom," Kevin replied, stopping his steps.
"Whatever you say Papi Vincent tomorrow, face it all with a cold head yes.
Kevin nodded obediently, and then hugged the mommy at a glance, "thank you mom, mommy has always been there for Kevin," she said with a sincere smile.
"Sama-sama son," replied Nabila by rubbing her son's arm lovingly.
"Daddy, don't cuddle son?" Pinta Rehan stretches out both hands.
And just like when Kevin was a child, the teenager immediately rushed to hug the daddy who had been pouring sincere affection for him.
"Daddy loves you son very much, anything daddy would do to make you happy" Rehan patted his son's back gently, and a second later Rehan let go of his embrace.
"Good rest mom, dad," said Kevin and then immediately stepped up the stairs.
Along the way up the stairs, Kevin's endless lips expressed a smile. Recorded back in his memory, how brave he was when he declared ready to marry Salma. And in the presence of their parents, Kevin even dared to express his true feelings to the beautiful girl of his class.
Though Kevin had long gathered the courage to express his feelings, but it turns out fate said another.
