Dimitri blinked when he felt his face touched by cold water, but it was salty on the tongue. He then completely opened his eyes, and slowly raised his head that was face down on the sand by the shore.
It was almost evening, visible from the dim sky with a hint of orange light mixed with yellow and reddish from the sun's nearly submerged trail.
Dimitri slowly got up, then looked around. He was in a deserted place, a desolate island that was likely uninhabited. It was seen from the absence of signs of life there, in addition to seagulls that perched in the trees, and some monkeys that seemed to hide. Because if there is a human being, it is certain that someone is aware of its existence.
The man restored his wet hair, and rubbed his pale face filled with sand. Some scratches even make it a little grimacing because of the pain when the sea water hit it. He was stunned, and just remembered another person who might be with him.
"Om Andra!" dimitri muttered while releasing the buoy from his body.
And he looked around again, just in case the assistant was there with him too. The last time they were together was when a big wave hit the rubber boat they were riding on so hard that it flipped over and made all the passengers on board scatter.
But Andra did not let go of his hand. Even as they drift in the ocean, the man continues to push him to find something to hold onto, which may lead them to land.
"Defire Dim! you must survive!" the words he spoke repeatedly rang in his ears.
"Om Andra!" Dimitri shouted, but instead the words of birds and apes were heard.
He walked while removing his shoes and suit that was soaked, the phone in his pocket could not even be turned on again because it was submerged in water for a long time. Though in it there is a tracking device deliberately installed by Andra, just like the man did on his cellphone, so that if something happens, then someone at home can track their whereabouts.
"Om Andra!! Where's Om!" he yelled again, though his efforts might have been in vain, but Dimitri could not if he had not done so.
His steps were heartily combing part by part of the beach that the sea water has been rising. He searched, among the rocks also fallen trees, hoping that his assistant was there. Either wedged or stuck.
Almost an hour Dimitri searched, until he walked far enough from where he woke up. He was even almost desperate after finding no sign of Andra, which finally caused him to collapse on the sand. He then fell back and looked up at the sky.
In his entire life, Dimitri had never found it difficult like this. He never had any trouble, anything else alone. There will always be people who support him, be it happy or sad. There will always be someone to help him through the difficulties. And there will always be someone accompanying him no matter what. But now? he doesn't even know where he is.
Imagine if one day, you were in trouble. No one can be helped, and there's only one thing you have.
He seemed to remember someone's words, leaving him stunned for quite a long time.
"Rania!" des*hnya closed her eyes when she remembered the woman, then she let out tears.
"I'm sorry." he muttered, wiping his wet eyes.
Suddenly the shadow of quarrel and strife between them flashed in the eyes. Everything he said and what Rania said became the noisiest thing in his head. How he continues to defend himself, while Rania continues to shout to corner him for mistakes he accidentally made. And how the woman always acts outside the habits of women in general. Which made him careless and even made a complaint. And his insensitivity becomes a reason to avoid. But right now, that's what he misses the most.
I don't have anything right now, and I don't even know where I am right now. Inner Dimitri. And the warm water again flowed from the corner of his eyes.
Oh, .. If I had survived today, I promised I'd do what I was supposed to do, Rania. I-i promise. I won't demand you do much, and I won't waste any more time.
The sky is getting dimmer, and the sun is getting drowning. Sea water was getting tidal but Dimitri did not know at all what to do. All he wanted was to go home.
But how? Behind him there was only a deserted island, while around him was a very wide waters, which he could not pass through just by swimming alone.
He got up, then climbed up one of the sizable rocks that was almost submerged in the rising sea water. Find out if there is anything you can do to save yourself.
And sure enough, that man was Andra. His main assistant, the second holder of power in the Nikolai Group after himself.
"Om Andra!" Dimitri dragged the 43-year-old's body to the mainland. Then lay it on the sand, and then check the situation.
Dimitri checked his breath through his nose, he didn't seem to be breathing. Then check the pulse on his neck. It felt like there was a pulsation, although a bit weak, while the skin paled and felt cold.
"No! om Andra, hang on!" he said, who then did first aid.
Dimitri did what he first remembered. He placed both his hands on the area between Andra's stomach and chest, then pressed it down quite hard. And he repeated it a few times. Until finally the assistant vomited enough water mixed with sand from his mouth, and Andra slowly regained consciousness.
"Of!! thank goodness!" Dimitri also reacted, he managed to make the man realize.
Many times Andra spewed out the water that filled her stomach, which she had breathed while trying to save Dimitri in the middle of the ocean currents that hit both of them. Until finally the young man managed to reach the beach. But the strong enough currents pulled him back and kept them apart until he was stranded on the other side of the island.
"You survived Dim? you all right?" Andra woke up after a while. He examined Dimitri's condition closely.
Making the young man fall silent again with his teary eyes. Even when he almost lost his life, Andra still thinks about the safety of others. His dedication to work is incredible.
"Dim! you all right?" re-examine Andra's body back to make sure his condition.
"I ... is fine Om, just ...
"Thank God, ..." Andra breathed a sigh of relief. "That's all that matters, ..your safety" he said, and he dropped his tired body back on the sand.
...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...
"What ... will we be safe? I don't even know where we are now." They were lying on the sand, in wet clothes and without any pedestal. The situation had even darkened, and the atmosphere was completely silent. Only the sound of waves could be heard around them.
"We're alive, we can be sure we're safe." Andra answered.
"Are the people at home going to be aware of our situation?"
"Of course, the emergency signal from the plane must have reached the watchtower, and it's possible that people are looking for us right now."
Dimitri looked at him.
"Even if not, we will try to go home in any way" Andra said, with his spirit still remaining. Even though he honestly doesn't know what will happen after this. But one thing, their safety is better than anything else. And the most important thing is that Dimitri is still with him, safe and well.
