Amoras
Amora part 59

God is love and does not want to punish sinners. But He is also just, he must punish us. How can God's love and justice meet?

There is a story: Shamila was a just and wise general.

One night a soldier reported that someone was stealing food. The general became angry because he punished "Whoever is caught stealing food will be punished 50 lashes".

Not long after that his bodyguard reported that the thief had already been caught, but none other than stealing Shamila's own mother. Shamila is in trouble, if punishing her mother means no love. Therapy if not punishing her mother means she is unfair.

As a wise leader he took actions that shocked everyone.

He removed his robe of greatness and ordered the bodyguards to whip him in exchange for his mother.

It is only by this self-sacrificing way that Shamila's justice can be served and her love for her mother proved.

So too is God's way of showing His love and justice through His self-sacrifice in Jesus Christ.

Jesus is God who became man. Jesus came into the world we celebrate at Christmas and lived without sin, He is perfect.

Jesus died on the cross to serve the penalty for our sins, before dying Jesus said "It is finished", meaning that all the punishment of our sins has been borne by Him once and for all.

Jesus died and was buried, but because He was God, He rose and ascended into heaven.

Jesus offers the Gift of eternal life or Heaven only - only and this can only be received by Faith.

Faith is like the key to open the door of heaven. There are many keys, but only one true key to open the door of heaven is saving faith.

The other key, not being able to open the door of Heaven is faith that does not save,

like; Faith that jumps in the Dark. We believe but do not know what or who we believe. Just follow - follow, for example: participate in worship, pray, and do other spiritual activities but do not understand the meaning.

Faith that does not save the next is faith based on reason alone means: know about Jesus and agree that Jesus is the Savior but only in the mind, do not rely on Jesus for salvation.

Faith that does not save the third is temporary faith. It means relying on Jesus but only for temporary things, such as finances, health and other worldly needs. This is good but not saving, because to get eternal life still relies on his own efforts and goodness.

To save faith is to know and rely on Jesus alone as Lord and Savior for eternal life.

to understand this story better:

There is an acrobat named Blondin who will cross the Niagara Falls by walking on a steel rope. He succeeded without carrying a load, he even managed to cross by pushing a carriage loaded with sand. Then the MCs made a show to the audience, does the audience believe Blondin can take someone across in his stroller?, everyone says believe it!

Just as the child entrusts himself to Blondin so too does saving faith mean not just professing faith in the mouth or approval as reasonedly as the spectator does, but entrust our whole life to Jesus alone as Lord and Savior to have eternal life like no child. Do you understand how to get into heaven? " joe concluded his explanation

One by one the members of the Cell answered "yes, believe in the saving Faith! "

"Do you want to receive the gift of eternal life/heaven?" continued Joe

The Cell member replied "You"

"this means that the first: You receive Jesus Christ the giver of eternal life, the second: no longer relying on his own goodness and effort to enter heaven but relying only on Jesus as Savior, the third: making Jesus a personal Lord in the heart, the fourth: repent; abandon old life (all sins) and follow Jesus only. Is this all you want?" ask Joe again

"Yes" again - again they compactly answer

Regan finally understood that what he knew and held so far was completely wrong and he was committed to seriously repenting no longer want to waste his life.

"If this is what you want, you can pray like this :

"Lord Jesus Christ, I profess to be a sinner and unworthy of eternal life. Today I want to receive Jesus who gives eternal life, does not rely on himself and only relies on Jesus as Savior for all time. Come into my heart to be the Lord of my life. I believe the Lord Jesus died on the cross for my sin. As proof, I want to repent and leave my old life and follow Jesus only. In accordance with your promise, I have received eternal life. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray, Amen."

All members followed Joe's prayer with tears including Regan could not help but cry because he was so sinful he got forgiveness and even the bonus of eternal life.

"Remember my brothers, this is the promise of Jesus to us who believe: "I say to you: Whoever believes, has eternal life. " Jesus' promise was kept, He never lied.

The assurance of our salvation is not to rely on our fragile and weary allegiances or strength to be able to hold on to the hand of God continuously, but to rely on the firm hand of God, never to be weary, never to be weary, faithful to hold our hands.

As Jesus promised "I give them eternal life and they will not perish until forever and no one will snatch them out of my hands".

So now we know that whenever we die we must go to heaven because we believe in Jesus by saving faith, not because of the good deeds we do.

Like a rope that is long enough and strong enough, there is no need to add a thread to save someone who is mired in the abyss.

Likewise, the saving work of Christ is perfect, sometimes for eternity, and need not be supplemented by our good works.

But we must still do good, as a sign of our gratitude to God and as a fruit of our Faith.

Now we are children of God and God wants us to grow up with: Reading the Bible daily, Praying always, worshiping sincerely in fellowship with fellow believers and Witnessing" Joe concluded
