Are You Okay?

Are You Okay?
Kindness

The morning breeze felt very fresh greeting Ara's skin who was playing sweetly with her smartphone at a bus stop. With her uniform and school bag on her back, Ara was ready to go to school on her second day as a freshman at Junior High. Ara did not expect that time goes so fast and make her a teenage girl who will go through many stories in life with this new school atmosphere.

Ara put her phone in her uniform pocket and stood up from her seat as she saw the bus she was waiting for had arrived. Today the bus is quite crowded with passengers, not usually until Ara does not get a seat and has to stand. Ara really didn't like to ride the bus while standing like this. He made his feet grow dark and his head became dizzy because of the low blood he had.

The distance from the school is quite far, hopefully his head is not dizzy as long as he is still on this bus. About ten minutes into the trip, Ara started to feel something was wrong with her stomach and tried to hold it with one hand so that the pain could be endured, a man who had been sitting on a chair in front of Ara got up, making the woman slightly shift so as not to collide with the man. Ara was still not aware that the man was Jaehwa because the woman was slightly looking down at the bottom.

"Sit down" said Jaehwa, inviting Ara to sit down.

Today Jaehwa took a bus to go to school, usually he was escorted by a driver, but because there was a problem with his car and had to be taken to the workshop, he was taken to the hospital, the man was forced to board a public transport and ended up here. The man did not expect a bus with Ara. As long as he sat down, he stuffed his limbs with a small instrument that let out a musical sound while closing his eyes, his head slightly lowered. Because it was possible that Jaehwa's dense hair blocked his face from above and made Ara not recognize him because it was invisible.

But when Jaehwa opened his eyes to see where his bus was going because he did not want his destination to be missed, he accidentally saw a pair of legs that moved violently, it made him immediately see who the owner of the foot was and see Ara with a face that was like pain. The soul of his leadership as a man flared up instantly seeing a weak woman who needed a hero like himself to give the woman a seat.

Ara looked at Jaehwa, quite surprised to meet him. Without thinking long the woman immediately sat where Jaehwa was sitting earlier because she was unable to endure the pain in her stomach longer.

"Thank you." Ara looked at Jaehwa with a perfunctory smile then turned her eyes back to the front.

Meanwhile, Jaehwa looked at him with a smile that he was trying to hide.

Arriving at school, Ara headed straight to the cafeteria to buy breakfast. His stomach really cannot be invited to work together to stop excessive pain.

"Why it hurts so much, but I'm used to not eating breakfast." Ara snorted in annoyance while paying for the bread she bought. "Is it because I didn't eat last night?" ask him to yourself.

From school yesterday until this morning, Ara did not feed her stomach any more, and the effect is only felt at this time. It hurt so much that he couldn't walk well. Ara had to walk a little slouching to squeeze her stomach all the way into the classroom, directly sitting in her chair and eating the bread quietly. It felt when his teeth just chewed the pain became worse.

"Sure, I've been eating but why is it getting sicker?" lamented Ara, her voice whimpering small. His body further bent until his head was stuck on the table, his two hands coiling pressed the stomach down there. Ara's eyes began to glaze over because the pain was not playing.

"You why? You're sick, huh?" Sooyung immediately approached Ara as soon as he arrived at the class without putting his bag first in his chair.

"My stomach hurts so much" whined Ara, tears just coming out of one eye. Though Ara did not want to cry, but her body's response was too excessive to let out tears like this.

"Your stomach hurts? I'll take you to the UKS, can you walk?" sooyung asked worriedly.

Ara tried to stand up but could not, her stomach hurt once. "Can't—"

"Soge away." Jaehwa tells Sooyung to shift so that he can help Ara to the UKS. The man placed both his hands on his back and folds Ara's legs to carry her.

Sooyung blinked his eyes, not expecting what Jaehwa was doing now. As with Ara, the woman widened her eyes and continued to stare at Jaehwa's face from below. Astounded. Ara can only remain silent and unable to speak as Jaehwa takes her out of the classroom.

"Stop everything, make way!" There was Sooyung walking in front of the two while shouting so that the others could give way.

"It's too much, I can walk on my own." Ara asks Jaehwa to let her down, but the man deliberately doesn't listen to her.

"I'm just a regular stomachache, put me down, Jaehwa," Ara said.

Jaehwa returned Ara's gaze and said, "If you walk the pain will be felt, it's better like this."

"What's sick?" ask the doctor directly at the point.

"His stomach hurts, but he's already eaten bread." Jaehwa replied, predating Ara who was the patient here.

"Let me check first. You two go back to class, class will start soon" the doctor said.

Ara nodded at Sooyung, telling the woman that she was fine if left alone.

"I'm going, yes" Sooyung said and left.

Meanwhile Jaehwa stared worriedly at Ara, then came out without saying anything more.

The clock change has arrived where the last hour is about to begin. Ara who was feeling better chose to go back to class and take lessons until she came home later. Ara did not expect that she could fall asleep for so long in the UKS until only the last two hours were left for the final lesson. As he passed the classroom door and walked towards his desk, Sooyung went straight to him and helped the woman walk. Sooyung is really a very considerate friend, even though Ara feels better but is still treated like a person who has just had surgery.

"I'm fine, Sooyung," said Ara.

"really? Does your stomach hurt?" Sooyung ascertains the truth.

Ara nodded steadily. Both of them sat in their seats, Sooyung half tilted her body to meet Ara face to face.

"What did the doctor say? What are you sick with?" Sooyung is very chatty as it turns out, but Ara likes it because it's a sign Sooyung cares about him.

"The doctor said I was late so my stomach ache recurred, but I've been given medication and it's getting better now."

Sooyung. "Don't miss your meal or you'll be like this again, okay?"

"Understand, Mother." Ara responded to Sooyung with a joke by calling her mother.

"Smart kid." Sooyung regained his trust and the two laughed.

Sooyung turned his body forward and returned to busy himself with his other friend. Ara slightly looked back, precisely towards Jaehwa who was chatting with the others. Staring at him for a long time, deliberately so that the man was sensitive and looking back at him.

"Thank you." Ara spoke silently to Jaehwa who finally looked at her on the sidelines of the conversation. The man just smiled then turned his eyes again at the others.

The noisy atmosphere in this class was instantly silent as a teacher walked into the classroom with some friendly books in his hands. The middle-aged man was ready to give the knowledge he had to his protege in this last hour. The clock is often called a boring hour and is avoided by students because they are exhausted and want to go home soon.

"Please clear the slate." The teacher ordered anyone to clean the blackboard, and with high initiative Jaehwa stood up to volunteer. As Jaehwa passed by Ara's desk, the man placed a paper on it and smiled at Ara.

"Let me clean it up." The man spoke to the teacher.

As Jaehwa cleaned the blackboard in front, Ara opened the piece of paper and read the writing inside.

"Don't get sick anymore, Ara-ya."
