Athena
First Day

After last night choosing to stay at a hotel near the airport, Athena and her friends now stand in front of the hotel lobby while waiting for a car that will take them to the area. They were still in the provincial capital, the atmosphere was still as bustling as that of city A.

In the morning Athena bought her necessities while in the village. A bus came to pick them up. The bus that the school has prepared. Only two drivers were on the bus. The five teenage boys who had come with Athena picked up the items they had brought, Athena's belongings as well.

"Are you ready?" ask the bus driver.

"Already, sir" answered Eros representing his friends.

Athena chose to sit in a chair by the window.

Her phone's ringing, the phone call from her mommy. He saw the situation, apparently his friends were busy with their respective activities.

"Hallo mom" he said to the mommy.

"I'm okay. Mommy's taking care of her health."

"This is just a bus ride. The journey is long"

"Good, mom. Say hello to Nevan and Daddy. Opa, Oma, papa, unty, also the twins"

Athena looked at her phone screen. Her mommy's call has been cut off. It's still too early, at 07:18 local time.

Athena kept her phone back in the mini bag inside her lap. He patted his head. Maybe he forgot to take cash for preparation. Even though he had time to shop at the supermarket which of course provides money withdrawal services.

"Thanks" said Athena.

Raga nodded. He sat back where he was before.

Athena restored her position. The journey is still very far. He tried to enter the dreamland.

"The, get up" Wildan tries to wake Athena up.

Athena opened her eyes. He was silent for a moment, trying to fix his feelings. After being fully conscious, he just asked.

"Why?" tanyakanya.

"Come, eat first." take Wildan.

Athena nodded. He rubbed his face with a wet tissue before standing up from his seat. Wildan was waiting for him.

"Aren't you first?" ask Athena.

They sat at a long table. There are 3 seats on each side.

"Sorry yeah. Wake it up must be a long time" said Athena not tasty.

"Tell?" ask Athena.

The five men laughed.

"No. It was new Eros, it was Wildan" Darren replied.

There was an ATM machine around the place of rest. Raga asks Athena first, then herself.

Athena nodded.

They went back on their journey. Bus stops at the terminal area. Someone approached the driver, they spoke.

"Sisters, this father will take you to the village" said the driver.

"Thank you, sir" said Eros.

Then they moved cars. A car that has no roof.

"You ahead or behind, The?" ask Kevin.

"Behind me" replied Athena.

They sat cross-legged on top of the car. The items are arranged neatly on the front of the car. The cold began to feel, it's been 45 minutes since this pick up car runs. That means they will arrive soon.

Athena looked at her watch. At 3pm. The car stopped in front of a very simple house.

They were greeted by the village chief and the village elders.

"Welcome to our village" welcome mr. kades.

"Thank you, sir. Please help" Eros said.

After the welcoming event, they started cleaning the house they were going to occupy. The house is really simple. There is only a living room at once doubles as a viewing room, 3 rooms, kitchen and bathroom.

"Come, clean up" said Athena.

Everyone takes their own role. Until the afternoon, it was all over. Athena tried to turn on the stove, but could not.

"The stove can't burn" Athena announced to her friends.

Eros to the kitchen. Checking stove.

"Why's car?" ask Wildan.

"Not connected to the tube" answered Eros.

All eyes were now looking towards Athena.

Athena raised her hand to form V.

"I don't know, sorry" she said.

Eros then put up the tube. Then try to turn on the stove. Succeeds.

Athena clapped her hands. This is the first time he has seen how to install tubes.

Athena brews tea and coffee for her friends. He then pulled out his snack.

"Tonight we will meet the village elders first well" said Eros.

Later that night, they actually came to the house of the village elder, as well as the village chief. They will be introduced to the farmers who will guide them tomorrow.

By 9 p.m., they were home. The air feels very cold. Athena had always worn a long and thick t-shirt ever since.

"Tonight it's okay to eat Indomie first?" ask Athena.

Everybody nodded.

Athena cooked for herself and her friends. Fortunately, he learned to cook before the practice.

After dinner, Athena took a break first. His body really felt very tired.
