Chapter 23: Forbidden Feelings

Saras started to open his eyelids slowly. He felt a terrible pain throughout his body as the anesthetic effects began to disappear.

His neck, legs and even his back were fitted with a refutation device. He could only see with one eye, his left eye was swollen due to the tearing effect on the temple.

"Moon..." When he first woke up. Ever since he got stuck in the car, he only thought about how the Moon could live without him. Although they lived apart, he never gave up his affection and attention to the Moon.

"Mother..? Mom is conscious? It must hurt a lot, right, ma'am?" The Moon's cry broke again, he placed his forehead on the back of his mother's hand while crying as he pleased.

"You've eaten? Your face is pale, son." said Saras slowly, he could not bear to see the face of his daughter who was like very tired.

"Where's your dad?" Ask Saras, why is there only a Moon there.

The new moon realized that he had not told his stepfather. He doesn't have Raul's number anyway. Saras' phone was destroyed during the accident.

"I haven't told him yet.."

"Go home, tell your father and bring mom's spare phone in the room."

The moon was silent for a moment, then he thought about going home. However, his stepfather must know that his mother is in the hospital.

"Well I'll go home, the doctor says you'll be transferred to the ward. Is there anything else I should bring?"

"That's it," said Saras whimpering, every time he voiced all the cells in his body like torn to shreds.

"oh yes ma'am, Arkana, Bima and her mother are in the canteen. Ask them for help if you need anything while I'm home. They'll be back in a minute."

"really..? I have to apologize to Bima's mother because it looks like the trial will be delayed..."

"Your..! Can't talk about work first. Mom just got critical, is that all that matters to you?" Upset the Moon, for him the safety and health of his mother is the most important. But somehow people even think about their work compared to their own health.

"Sorry..." Lirih Saras, he misspoke like that in front of his daughter.

The moon did not answer, it left with an erratic feeling. Upset, sad, and grateful that the mother survived.

Shortly after Moon left, Bima and the others finished eating and passed the Doctor who took Saras to the hospital room.

"Saras..? Are you human yet? Thank goodness..." Ayana accompanies Saras' bed, which is being pushed by two Nurse.

"Where's month..?" Arkana spread his gaze, he did not find the Moon there.

"The moon came home to tell her father." said Saras slowly.

"Home home..?" Arkana's move stalled, that means the Moon will meet with Raul alone? What if something unwanted happens?

Arkana turned to follow the moon. He did not want the Moon until why, even though he knew Raul was the birth father of the Moon. His mind could not calm down.

"Hey, where are you going? We have to leave soon..!" Bima cried, the longer they went to the set.

"Awhile..!" Answer Arkana keep stretching his steps.

"Dad..! Mommy's in an accident, come to Medisra's hospital and get me a spare phone." The strangler from downstairs, he knew Raul could hear that.

"What..?" Sahut Raul echoed, it turns out he was not in the room, but in the kitchen.

Moon was shocked and turned around, "mom, accident, come to the hospital and bring mom's spare phone."

"Mother's phone in the room, take it yourself." Raul looked in the direction of the Moon. The beautiful child she missed so much is finally home.

"I'm going straight there again, I'm just here to tell you." The moon turned around to leave the house.

"Wait," Raul held back the Moon's arm, making the Moon's feelings uneasy.

"Why rush? Don't you miss your dad?"

"I don't even want to see your face!" Ketus Bulan while strongly brushed off Raul's hand.

"Come here, I miss you, hug you.." Raul approached the Moon, stretching out his arms.

"You're not my father! Don't act so rude!"

"Is it so hard to admit me as a father? I miss my little daughter who is always spoiled in my arms."

"You said I didn't have the right to call you Dad. Now you're acting like you deserve to be called a father?"

"Stop acting, or I'll report you to the police!" He added strongly denounced the slanted-brained man.

"Please.., how do you think your mother would react if I spread her filthy mass?"

The moon is silent a thousand languages, its jaws are clashing against each other. If only he had the courage, he would want to mutilate the crazy man's body right now.

Raul held onto both shoulders of the Moon, really he missed the girl very much. The girl who always made her life excited, the girl who made her endure the pain because Saras never loved her. The bland taste in marriage was slowly colored as the forbidden feeling grew.

"If you want your mother to be happy, go back home. Your mother really wants you back in this house, so do I." Whispered the old man with his devilish smile, he really was already insane. Rejected he tried to cheat in order to vent his unrequited feelings, but he could not. He instead chose the Moon as a place to vent those wasted feelings.

The moon gulped in his saliva, his two eyes glazed over. He came into this world as an illegitimate child, who indirectly became the destroyer of his mother's future. He should not have thought so.

If he complained all this to his mother, would he be able to see her mother destroyed for the umpteenth time? How would it feel if his mother found out that the husband he was always proud of was nothing more than a bastard.

"If you feel disappointed in my mother, then divorce her. Find a woman who can satisfy your perverted soul..!"

"I found it, it's you.." Lirih Raul, this time his gaze really made Moon disgusted.

"You've really gone crazy..! Why don't crazy men like you just die..!" The moon pushed Raul's body away, he ran towards the door while crying loudly. Why is his life so crazy? Why does it have to be like this..? Why...?

When she opened the door, Arkana got there. He was just about to press the bell, but the Moon had already arrived there with a cry.

"The moon..? You're all right? Why are you crying? You're okay, right?" Arkana brought the Moon into his arms, and the Moon cried out.
